Belief in a Lord Christ and Lady Christ

By Day of Greenleaf, the Founding Yaiyr

We worship God (Jah) and Goddess (Jahlah), both of whom are extensions of Yah, the Undifferentiated Oneness of Universal Being that includes All. [We also worship both a Masculine Christ and a Feminine Christ, but that will be the topic of the next Key Teaching in this list].

We believe that religions that worship only the Divine Father or only the Divine Mother, or present either the Father or the Mother as superior to the other, are seriously flawed, being inherently out of balance and not in harmony with ultimate reality.

Our understanding of God and Goddess is based primarily on The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of the Essene Way. A detailed description of our understanding of God and Goddess is provided in several of my books including: ESSENE TEACHINGS: The Book of Doctrines. A brief description is given in the following several paragraphs.

The original state of the Godhead was UNDIFFERENTIATED BEING. By the term undifferentiated we mean that there was no “other”; there was no “me and you,” no “he and she,” no “we.”  There was just ONE BEING. The Hebrew word for the One Being is YAH. Yah is a Hebrew word that literally means Am. Yah is pure IS, pure BEING, pure EXISTENCE.

Self-consciousness (of Yah) arose when Yah asked THE FIRST QUESTION – “Who am I?” – and realized THE FIRST ANSWER: “I Am.” In Hebrew the term “I Am” is “Eh Yah.” So, at this point of the unfoldment of Deity, the Undifferentiated “Yah/Am” has realized, and declared, “EhYah/I Am.” With this First Knowing came the First Feeling: BLISS, and Yah realized itself to be a Triune Oneness (Holy Trinity) consisting of three aspects: 1) Existence (Yah/Being); 2) Consciousness (Divine Mind), and 3) Bliss (Divine Heart). We read in Nasarean Genesis:

35. And Being knew: “I exist eternally; I consider the facts of my existence; I feel profound feelings.
36. I am Existence, Consciousness, and Feeling.”
37. And that which is Conscious is the Divine Mind.
38. And that which Feels is the Divine Heart.
39. And that which is the Source and Crown of each is Yah.

In the above verses, Being has realized itself as Existence, Consciousness, and Bliss. That is: Being, Thoughts, and Feelings. It is worth noting that in the Vedic tradition of India, Deity is described in Sanskrit as Sat-Chit-Ananda: Sat (Existence), Chit (Consciousness), and Ananda (Bliss/Feeling).

Fortunately for you and I, that first Triune Being wished – this is called ‘The Creative Wish’ – to give the Gift of Being to countless souls, to create ‘baby Beings’ that are each created in the Image and Likeness of The Triune Deity (Sat-Chit-Ananda). In order to do that, Yah emanated a Masculine aspect called Divine Father Jah (God) and a Feminine aspect called Divine Mother Jahlah (Goddess).

We are each created in that Image and Likeness, and so our first great spiritual attainment is when we experience Self Realization of our own basic identity as Sat-Chit-Ananda (Existence-Consciousness-Bliss). We call that The ‘I-Am’ Realization and it prepares us for the next great realization: The ‘We-Are’ Realization. That is the realization that not only ‘I Am’ an Eternal Being created in the Divine Image, but so is everyone else (including non-humans) – thus, the term: ‘We-Are’.

When God (Divine Father Jah) and Goddess (Divine Mother Jahlah) planned how best to create baby souls – and how to assist them to learn the countless lessons of life – they came up with the idea of emanating their own personal representatives in the universe of space and time, a Son of Jah called The Lord Christ, and a daughter of Jahlah called The Lady Christ. And that brings us to the next Key Teaching in this list.

Belief in a Lord Christ and Lady Christ. Not only is our church (Nasarean Church of The Essene Way) the only Christian Church that believes in both God and Goddess, we are also the only Christian church that believes in both a Lord Christ and Lady Christ.

Because he is the only Being directly emanated by Jah, the Lord Christ is referred to as the Only Directly Begotten Son of Jah. Likewise, because she is the only Being directly emanated by Jahlah, the Lady Christ is referred to as the Only Directly Begotten Daughter of Jahlah.

The most-ancient personal name of the Lord Christ is Jahday, though he is  known by countless names in countless worlds. He is also called Immanuel, which means God Immanent in Creation. In Nasarean theology, Jahday is in fact considered to be God Immanent, because he was directly emanated by Jah to represent Jah in the Mother Ovum. Jah is called God Transcendent for he is the source of God Immanent and resides outside of the Mother Ovum (our universe) in a transcendental realm called Heaven Most High. Over two thousand years ago the Lord Christ Jahday came to Earth and was called Yahshua, though that name was altered and came down to us in English as “Jesus.” (“Jesus” is a Greek-English corruption of the Hebrew name Yahshua.) ‘Yahshua’ is not a mis-spelling of the common Hebrew name ‘Yeshua’; rather, it is an intentional special spelling – coined by the Nasareans – that is only used for the Lord Christ. ‘Yahshua’ means ‘Salvation of Yah’.

The most-ancient personal name of the Lady Christ is Jahnah, though she is known by countless names in countless worlds. She is also called Immanuelah, which means Goddess Immanent in Creation. In Nasarean theology, Jahnah is in fact considered to be Goddess Immanent, because she was directly emanated by Jahlah to represent Jahlah in the Mother Ovum. Jahlah (Mother of Jahnah) is called Goddess Transcendent for she is the source of Goddess Immanent and resides outside of the Mother Ovum in a realm called Heaven Most High. Over two thousand years ago Jahnah came to Earth and was called Miriam of Magdala, though that name came down to us in English as ‘Mary Magdalene.’ (‘Mary’ is an English corruption of the Hebrew name Miriam.)

The first two children of Jah-Jah (“Jah-Jah” is a Nasarean term by which we conveniently refer to both Jah and Jahlah at the same time) were given the assignment of creating the countless children of the Mother Ovum (the “Mother Ovum” – Em Beytsah in Hebrew – means “Mother Egg” and is the Nasarean term for our universe). Thus, Jahday (the Lord Christ) and Jahnah (the Lady Christ) are the Children of Jah-Jah, but they are the Mother and Father of all other created Beings. ‘Elohim’ is a convenient term by which we refer to both the Lord Christ and Lady Christ at the same time).

Besides their role as creators within the Mother Ovum, the Lord Christ and Lady Christ were assigned the role of Saviors. The work of Salvation is a manifestation of Mercy. The Lord Christ and Lady Christ are the Hands of Mercy of Jah-Jah, and those who join the Lord and Lady in this work also become Hands of Mercy.

After the crucifixion, Magdalene – who became known as the ‘Black Madonna’ because she was a black woman born in Ethiopia – took her newly conceived baby to what is now called France where the baby boy became the source of the ancient legends of ‘The Holy Grail’, the ‘Cup’ that held the blood of ‘Jesus’ after the crucifixion. Yahshua (Jesus) and Miriam’s child was named Gebiyah, the Nasarean Hebrew word for ‘Goblet’, and literally did hold the blood of ‘Jesus’ in his very veins! Some of Gebiyah’s teachings are preserved in our alternative version of the Bible, The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way. That Bible also includes hundreds of teachings of the Magdalene and Yahshua available nowhere else, including on topics like yoga, meditation, reincarnation, and vegetarianism.

A detailed description of the Lord Christ and Lady Christ – including their love relationship/marriage as Yahshua and Miriam that resulted in the birth of the ‘Grail Child’ is given in my book titled, Magdalene and Essene Jesus:
A Cosmic Love Story.

Vegetarianism. One of the Key Teachings of the Nasarean Essenes is Vegetarianism. I will briefly describe that teaching here, but those wanting a more detailed description – which includes Yahshua (‘Jesus’) describing his personal diet – should read my book, Vegetarian Teachings of Essene Jesus and Magdalene.

I am about to share a bit of extremely important information that you otherwise will likely never know. It is unlikely that you will ever receive the following information again from any other source, so pay close attention.

Before I attended theological seminary school in the late 1980’s, I had already learned the following information related to Epiphanius and the vegetarian Nasarean Judaism that birthed Nasarean Christianity. Then, as a student at Bethany Theological Seminary School, I discovered that none – literally, not one – of the seminary professors were aware of the following information or willing to let me officially study it. They were not even willing to discuss it or the historical evidence that Jesus was a vegetarian. One professor told me: “If we graduated students that then went out and mentioned things to the little old ladies that ‘rock the boat’, we would all lose our jobs.”

Right now, if I were to ask any typical group of one hundred Jews if they knew that there used to be a form of Judaism that used a version of the Torah that had no animal sacrifice and promoted – required of its members – vegetarianism, probably not one would say ‘yes’ and be able to name that form of Judaism. I know that the same is true for groups of Christians as well, because I have actually asked that question to many hundreds and never had one correct response.

The name of that form of vegetarian Judaism that used a version of the Torah (‘Old Testament’ to Christians) that portrayed the prophets as vegetarian and condemned the practice of animal sacrifice – and that declared the ‘mainstream’ Torah to be a later falsified version – was Nasarean. (As will be explained later in these Key Teachings, the word Nasarean is a completely different word than the similar-sounding – and more familiar – word Nazarene; ‘Nasarean’ stems from ‘Nasa’ and means ‘Ascension’; ‘Nazarene’ stems from the Hebrew word ‘Nezer’ and means ‘branch’.)

In one of the most magnificently ironic and profoundly poetic ‘accidents’ of history, the proverbial ‘smoking gun’ – the evidence – that a vegetarian form of Judaism called ‘Nasarean’ ever existed, was left behind by the very man that was condemning it nearly two thousand years ago! That man was an early Orthodox Christian Bishop, a man that performed the role of ‘heretic-hunter’ that would later evolve into the Catholic ‘Office of the Inquisition’; his name: Epiphanius.

Like the later propagandists employed by the Inquisition, Epiphanius was a scholarly ‘hatchet-man’, with the objective of attacking each and every form of religion other than his own, especially alternative forms of Christianity. He condemned everything except Orthodox Christianity as ‘heresy’. The ‘smoking gun’ of Epiphanius that poetically ‘back-fired’ is found within his book, The Panarion.

In Ray A. Pritz’s Nazarene Jewish Christianity, Epiphanius is described as follows:

Epiphanius was born about 315 near Eleutheropolis (Beit Gurvin) in Judea…. His life was dedicated to fighting heresy… and in 374 he began writing the Panarion…. While the Panarion preserves for us many traditions that would have otherwise been lost, the work as a whole is tendentious [Day: tendentious means characterized by a deliberate attempt to advance a particular doctrine; in this case, Epiphanius so wants to condemn the other 80 schools of religious thought that he treats them unfairly. End of Day’s insert.] … citing only what supports his own unbending orthodoxy.

The last sentence of the excerpt from the Pritz book acknowledges that though Epiphanius was clearly prejudiced and unfair, he nevertheless: “preserves for us many traditions that would have otherwise been lost”. That is what I meant when I previously stated that, in regard to the Nasarean form of Judaism and its vegetarian-oriented Bible, Epiphanius, by way of his written condemnation of it, accidentally preserved the proverbial ‘smoking gun’, the only historical proof that such a religion ever existed! Thanks, Epiphanius! (Did I just hear him roll over in his grave? Just kidding!)

As we will read below in Epiphanius’ condemnation of Nasarean Judaism, the Nasarean Bible had many of the same ‘characters’ as the later sacrificial-cult Bible (the mainstream ‘Old Testament’), including Moses, Isaiah, and Abraham, but had them doing and saying different things, including being vegetarian and condemning animal sacrifice.

Several of the key quotations from Epiphanius’ Panarion describing Nasarean Judaism are commented on by Ray A. Pritz in Nazarene Jewish Christianity. [‘Nazarenes’ were predominantly mainstream Jews that accepted ‘Jesus’ as the Messiah; most of them were not of Nasarean background and, unlike the Nasarean Jews that became Nasarean Christians, most ‘Nazarenes’ were not vegetarian.] Pritz writes:

The majority of scholars… accept Epiphanius’ notice at more or less face value: there was a pre-Christian Jewish sect of Nasaraioi [Day: Rendered in English Nasarean or Nasarene] who are not to be identified with the sect of Nazaraioi [Day: Rendered in English Nazarean or Nazarene]…. Epiphanius states that the Nasaraioi [Day: those that he was personally aware of and about to describe] were in the areas to the east of the Jordan. This is quite specific enough to make it believable….

When we come to matters of sectarian substance the similarities cease altogether. The Nasaraioi [Day: Nasareans] rejected the books of Moses [Day: mainstream Torah]; the Nazarenes accepted them. The Nazarenes were never accused of being vegetarians, a singular trait of the Nasaraioi…. The more serious objection is the Nasarean rejection of the Pentateuch [Day: Mainstream Torah]…. Black, however, interprets Epiphanius’ words, not unreasonably, as meaning that they [Day: Nasareans] had their own version of the Torah in place of the one accepted by other Jews.

Because it is so significant, I will repeat the last portion of the last sentence of that excerpt in caps and bold: the Nasareans HAD THEIR OWN VERSION OF THE TORAH IN PLACE OF THE ONE ACCEPTED BYOTHER JEWS.

In a scholarly article by A. Kampmeir titled, The Pre-Christian Nasareans, we are given the key direct quotations from Epiphanius on the Nasareans, plus benefit by Kampmeir’s comments; he writes:

Now what are the facts concerning these Nasareans? Epiphanius in his works on heresies classifies them…. Like the Osseans, who lived on the east side of the Jordan in Iturea and Moabitis near the Dead Sea (Panarion XIX), the Nasareans also originated east of the Jordan in Gilead and Bashan (Panarion XVIII). Of their beliefs Epiphanius speaks in four places. In Anakeph, 134C, he says: “The Nasareans forbid all flesh-eating; they do not partake of that in which there is life generally; previous to Moses and Joshua the son of Nun they make use of the holy names of the patriarchs in the Pentateuch… I mean Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and those before them, as also Moses himself and Aaron…. But they teach that the writings of the Pentateuch are not of Moses and affirm to have others besides these….”

In the Epitome he [Day: Epiphanius] says: “Concerning Nasareans: these accept the patriarchs… Moses received a law, they say. However, the law [Day: the ‘law’ is the ‘Torah’] itself and the whole Pentateuch [Day: what Christians call ‘The Old Testament’] they do not accept, but believe that another law had been given him [Day: Moses]. They do not partake of that in which there is life [they are vegetarian], nor do they offer sacrifices. They say that the books [Day: of other Jews] have been falsified and that none of them took their origin from the fathers….”

In Panarion XVIII he says: “But the Pentateuch itself they do not accept; yet they confess Moses and believe that he received the law though not this [not this version] but another….”

“… but they do not offer sacrifice, nor partake in that which there is life… it is considered unlawful with them to eat flesh…. They say that these books [Day: the books of mainstream, sacrificial-cult Judaism’s ‘Moses’] have been falsified…. This is the difference between the Nasareans and others [Day: other Jews], and the reproach against them….” After this follows a refutation of the Nasareans [Day: by Epiphanius] regarding their rejection of the Pentateuch [Day: mainstream books of Moses], of sacrifices and of meat-eating….

…. Epiphanius always writes Nasaraioi…[except] in one place (Panarion XX) writes Nasarenoi, just as we have seen that he uses once Ossenoi and once Essaioi….

I will provide one quotation each from Yahshua (‘Jesus’) and Miriam the Magdalene on the topic of vegetarianism, and then end this Key Teaching on Vegetarianism by sharing the Nasarean version of Moses’ Ten Commandments that includes information on Nasarean vegetarianism.

In his Sermon on Essene Yoga from The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way, Yahshua (‘Jesus’) says:

169. “Vegetarianism is The Foundation… of a human life based on Compassionate Love.
170. Indian Yoga, as is Essene Yoga, is built on the strong foundation of vegetarianism.
171. In India, authentic yoga teachers will not teach more than entry-level yoga to students that are not yet vegetarians.
172. Likewise, Nasareans only initiate seekers into our yoga system if they have first become vegetarian and have fallen deeply in love with The Holy Megillah.
173. Seekers that are sincerely interested in taking initiation into Essene Yoga are asked to begin by reading the entire Megillah and, if not yet vegetarian, to become one.
174. Teachers of Essene Yoga are trained to offer introductory Megillah Bible Study Lessons and introductory Essene Yoga Classes for seekers that are not yet vegetarian or Nasarean, as well as to conduct Essene Yoga Fellowship Services for initiates only….

177. “Essene Yoga Fellowship is a mission of The Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way, a religion based on The Holy Megillah, and vegetarianism is a foundational teaching of our religion.
178. I say to all that become Teachers of Essene Yoga Fellowship, do not neglect to require vegetarianism of those that accept My Yoke.”

In another section of The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way, Miriam the Magdalene gives the following teaching on vegetarianism:

1. Near a slaughterhouse in Bethany, Miriam and several of Her Companions conversed with a small crowd.
2. Miriam said: “The heart of the heaven-bound feels – and wishes to prevent – the pain of the animals in this slaughterhouse.
3. In India, the following adage is well known: ‘Hell swallows those that swallow meat.’” ….

23. A mocker laughed and said: “Your religion is not for me!
24. I will never pass up a juicy slab of goat meat!
25. The bloodier the better!
26. And God himself enjoys a good animal sacrifice!”

27. Miriam replied: “Better than ten thousand animal sacrifices is to save even one animal from being sacrificed or eaten.
28. The true God weeps for the creatures you kill!
29. And many think they serve God by sacrificing animals to him, when, in truth, they serve a demonic beast that poses as ‘God’.
30. Contemplate this precept: ‘Let the mocker beware: hurt comes to the hurtful!’
31. Also contemplate this precept: ‘The hurt you cause in the morning will return to you by the evening.’”

32. A woman in the crowd said: “I must feed my daughter so that she will live.
33. I fear for her future should I withhold meat.”
34. Miriam replied: “Only she who is kin to all creation truly lives; consider the rest dead.
35. Even so, I will teach you to eat as we Nasareans eat; your daughter will live and let live.
36. Only those daughters that let live, truly live heavenly lives.
37. Yea, I tell you truly, those that are kind to all creatures need not fear their own futures.
38. The reverse is also true!”

Although it would be fine for a Nasarean to choose to embrace a stricter form of vegetarianism such as a vegan diet (no dairy or eggs or meat), the only requirement stated in the Nasarean version of Moses’ Ten Commandments is lacto-ovo vegetarianism, which permits dairy and/or eggs. I end this introduction to the Key Nasarean Teaching of Vegetarianism with the Nasarean version of Moses’ Ten Commandments. It is very different – much more spiritually elevated – than the version in the mainstream Bible. Besides making clear that the Nasarean form of vegetarianism need not be vegan, it includes a powerful teaching on the equality of the Masculine and Feminine aspects of Deity:

The Ten Commandments of the Nasarean Book of Moses

Hear me, oh Yisra’el, if you would have joy in your life, and abundant blessings, rather than pain and misery, keep these commandments.

1. Within the One YHWH is both God and Goddess; wherefore, worship both the Father God and Mother Goddess, that you be centered in the All.

2. Within the creation is a spark of the Creator; wherefore, know yourself.

3. Within every creature is a spark of the Creator; wherefore, respect all living things in the manner that you respect yourself.

4. YHWH desires that all creatures live in nonviolent cooperation; wherefore, walk softly on Mother Earth, seek nonviolence, and make no laws that conflict with the Way of YHWH.

5. YHWH does not sanction violent warfare; wherefore, any religion, scripture, or prophet that declares otherwise, either lies or is in ignorance, and should not be obeyed.

6. You shall not kill any creature for pleasure, nor for profit, nor for food.

7. You may eat the milk and eggs of animals that are well cared for, but know this: These foods are for this world only; for, in the lower heavens the Cherubim eat but fruit, and in the higher heavens they eat only heavenly essences.

8. You shall cultivate honesty within yourself and in every relationship.

9. You shall forgive yourself when you stumble, and likewise forgive others their shortcomings.

10. Love YHWH within and around you, and love every creature as yourself; for, lo: Love is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and none find YHWH except by Love.

The Ancient Nasarean Essenes. Let us begin by defining first the word ‘Nasarean’, then the word ‘Essene’. ‘Nasarean’ is a different word than the similar-sounding – and more familiar – word ‘Nazarene’. The word Nasarean stems from the root nasa (to rise or ascend) and means Ascension in Spiritual Elevation by Giving and Receiving Forgiveness. The following meanings of the root Nasa are given in The Strongest Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible: “Lift up,” “Lifted up,” “Raise,” “Lift up another,” “Lift up oneself,” “Forgive, Forgiven.” The concordance also states that the various meanings of the root Nasa come “… from the base meaning of rise in elevation….” The concordance also states that the meaning of forgive/forgiven in the context of Nasa is “… the removal of guilt and its penalties” [Day: the cleansing of ‘negative karma’ from past misdeeds].

The word Essene is the ‘English-ized’ form of the Aramaic word Asayyim (singular form: Asayya) and means ‘healers/healings’. The name of this religion is: The Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way. The term ‘Essene Way’ means ‘Healing Way’ or ‘Healing Lifestyle Practices’. So, taken together, the name of this religion means: Ascension in Spiritual Elevation by Giving and Receiving Forgiveness while Living the Healing Lifestyle Practices of Holistic Wellness.

The Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way was the original religion established by God and Goddess in the Garden of Eden. The ancient Nasarean Essenes were the practitioners of the earliest and most spiritual form of Judaism, and, as the first followers of Lord Christ and Lady Christ, became the first Christians. That form of Christianity is called Nasarean Christianity or Nasarean Christianity of The Essene Way. The modern-era string of congregations of Nasarean Christianity that I [Day of Greenleaf/Day Owen] have founded also refers to itself as Essene Church of Christ; in that name, the word “Christ” is understood to refer equally to both the Lord Christ and the Lady Christ, as well as the state of “Christ Consciousness” to which all members aspire.

The ancient Nasarean Essene Jews had a vegetarian version of the Hebrew Bible that was far more ancient than the bloody (animal sacrifice and a violent deity) version used by mainstream Judaism. The Nasarean Essene Jews refused to have anything to do with the animal sacrifice religion of mainstream Judaism and were therefore severely persecuted. They were an outlawed religion, not only for their repudiation of animal sacrifice, but for a variety of reasons. The orthodox priests were angered that the Nasarean Jews worshipped both God and Goddess. They were angered by the fact that the Nasareans used different scriptures and had different teachings. Most of all, the mainstream Jewish priests were outraged by the fact that the Nasarean Jews permitted women to enter the priesthood.

It is written that an angel appeared to the ancient Nasarean Essene Jews and told them that, in fulfillment of ancient prophecies, the Lord Christ and Lady Christ would come to Earth through them. But first, said the angel to the Nasareans, they must prepare themselves. The angel gave them instructions to establish a special order to prepare the way for the births of the Lord Christ and Lady Christ; that order was called: Essene Order of The Immaculate Conception (the term ‘Immaculate Conception’ does not imply a ‘virgin birth’; the word ‘Immaculate’ here simply means ‘purified’). The angel gave them instructions on how to purify themselves to prepare for the coming of the Lord and Lady.

For seven generations the Nasarean Essenes followed the instructions of the angel. And then, in Israel, a Nasarean Essene woman gave birth to the Lord Christ: Yahshua (“Jesus”). And the same year, at the Essene encampment in Ethiopia, a Nasarean Essene woman gave birth to the Lady Christ: Miriam the Magdalene (“Mary Magdalene”). From this time on, the Nasarean Essene religion has been a form of Christianity, since a Christian is a follower of Christ. Thus, modern Nasarean Essenes, while considering ourselves to be the heirs of the most ancient form of Judaism, are Christians because we are followers of Christ. Even so, as stated above, we use a different version of the Bible than does mainstream Christianity and have many different teachings.

In the ancient Nasarean Essene manuscripts used by our church, Yahshua (“Jesus”) predicted that, after his crucifixion, his enemies would fiercely persecute his true church, set-up a false church, and alter his teachings. He was right. After Jesus was crucified, his true church was attacked and his true disciples executed as “heretics,” first by the mainstream Jewish authorities and then by the Pauline Roman Catholic Church. Mainstream Christianity became a State-run religion, run by corrupt kings via their puppet-popes. The primary founder of this altered form of Christianity was Saul of Tarsus (“Paul”), who never even met Yahshua (‘Jesus’).

Paul and his cohorts threw out the vegetarian teachings of Yahshua, as well as his teachings on the Divine Mother Goddess. The Pauline Roman Catholic Church threw out almost all of the sayings of Miriam (“Mary Magdalene”) and branded her as a reformed prostitute, when in fact she was the wife and eternal consort of Yahshua and had never been a prostitute. They altered the New Testament, replacing many of the teachings of Yahshua and Miriam with the teachings of Paul.

The Pauline Church that gave birth to both Orthodox Christianity and the Roman Catholic Church led the world into what historians call The Dark Age. The Catholic army nearly exterminated all of the surviving Nasareans, forcing the few survivors to take their precious scrolls and go into hiding. Yahshua predicted all of it. But he also predicted an “Age of Light” in which his true church would return and his true teachings would be distributed.

The Nasarean Church of The Essene Way hereby declares that the BLESSED DAY of the restoration of the true teachings and true church of the Lord Christ and Lady Christ has NOW COME!

We are on the cusp of a New Cycle on Earth, a New Age. The New Age will be an age of relatively advanced spirituality, an age in which the group consciousness takes a quantum leap forward. The New Age will be a SOLAR CIVILIZATION, making profound and creative use of the energy of our Sun. It will be a civilization dedicated to ECOLOGICAL HARMONY. And, as indicated by the prophet Isaiah, it will be a nonviolent, VEGETARIAN CIVILIZATION, returning to the original non-flesh diet given by God and Goddess in Genesis. Truly, a NEW DAY is about to dawn!

But before the bright sky of the New Day dawns, a dark storm shall rain down. In other words, THERE IS GOING TO BE A RATHER ROUGH TRANSITION PERIOD! How rough? That depends on us!

Enough damage has already been done to the ecosystem of our Earth to ensure some degree of ecological collapse. That ecological collapse will cause an economic collapse and that economic collapse will lead to socio-political chaos and war. Even if profound ecological wisdom were implemented immediately on a worldwide scale, some degree of the above scenario would still occur – enough damage has already been done to the ecosystem to ensure some degree of collapse and chaos.

But we – the “we” who have “ears to hear” and “eyes to see,” can work to make the degree of collapse and chaos less severe than it otherwise will be. “We” are the “Way-pointers” of the New Age. “We” are the “Called-out” ones. “We” are, in the words of Yahshua, “the meek who shall inherit the Earth,” the “Ripe Harvest” of the closing age and the “New Seed” of the age to come. WE ARE THE NASAREAN ESSENES. And long ago it was ordained that we help ease the transition from one age to the next. AND SO WE SHALL!

Toward the end of each Earth Cycle (‘Age’ or ‘Era’), the Essene Church manifests itself in a more public manner to help ease the transition from one age to the next. Such a time has again come! The ancient Essene Church of Christ has returned! AND WE HAVE WORK TO DO!

Holistic Wellness Practices. Since the term ‘Essene Way’ is accurately translated by Nasareans as ‘Healing Way’, it is not surprising that the Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way is very much into Wellness Practices. Writing two thousand years ago, Philo of Alexandria described the Essene/Therapeutae monastery in Alexandria, Egypt, as: “healers of not body only”, but of body, mind, and soul. In modern language, they were HOLISTIC HEALERS. Because they were environmentalists, I describe them as: “healers of body, mind, soul, and planet.” In my forthcoming book, The Golden Path of Healing of The Essene Way: Holistic Wellness Practices of Jesus and Magdalene, I describe in detail the various Nasarean Essene healing/wellness practices found in The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way.

Essene Yoga. The full name of Essene Yoga is: The Yoga of The Essene Tree of Life. The Nasarean Hebrew word for Yoga is Yihud. In the New Testament section of The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way, Yahshua (‘Jesus’) preaches a very long sermon on the topic of Essene Yoga. That sermon is a main topic of my book, Teachings of Essene Jesus and Magdalene on Yoga and Meditation. Suffice it to say here that The Yoga of The Essene Tree of Life includes within it all of the main types of yoga popularized in the West by Hindu yogis from India – including Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Laya Yoga, Karma Yoga, Mantra Yoga, and, most importantly, Bhakti Yoga (The Yoga of Devotional Universal Love) – but also other practices, blending them into One Grand Spiritual Practice called for short: Essene Yoga or Nasarean Essene Yoga. While most people think only of Hatha Yoga – the yoga of the physical postures that people learn in a typical yoga class – the other yoga practices deal more with spiritual practices, including meditation and compassionate service. It can accurately be said that Essene Yoga is the whole set of spiritual teachings and practices that, all together, constitute the teachings and practices of our religion, The Nasarean Religion of the Essene Way.

Meditation. Nasarean meditation practices are a key topic of my book, Teachings of Essene Jesus and Magdalene on Yoga and Meditation. Yahshua (‘Jesus’) and Miriam the Magdalene teach not one but many meditation practices, all of which are provided in that book. Here I will simply provide a very brief treatment.

There are different levels of your personal consciousness. There are different levels not only of your mental/psychological consciousness, but also of your soul/spiritual consciousness. There are many different varieties of meditation; some are intended to do one thing, others another thing. But the most common meditation practices deal with helping you experience your Self at progressively deeper levels. They help you go deeper than the ‘mental chit-chat’ level that most people are stuck in, help you go deeper and, eventually, know – and actually experience – yourself as a spiritual Being of Love and Light. This enables you to rise above lower-level fears and the related negative behaviors and to recognize your highest purpose in life, your true life-mission.

Reincarnation in Spiritual Evolution. We believe in reincarnation, and also believe in the possibility of becoming so spiritually evolved that we no longer are required to reincarnate. I treat both reincarnation and the intimately related topic of Spiritual Evolution in detail in my book, Teachings of Essene Jesus and Magdalene on Yoga and Meditation.

In regard to reincarnation, Nasareans teach the following main points:

1. Souls reincarnate in order to have appropriate body types for their current stage of development on the Spiral Ladder of Ascension in spiritual evolution.

2. All creatures – not only humans – continue to reincarnate until they reach the level of soul development – via spiritual evolution – where they are no longer required to reincarnate.

3. There is typically a time of rest and reflection between lives wherein a soul contemplates deeply the lessons learned in that incarnation and becomes aware of further lessons that can be learned in the next incarnation.

4. According to various manifestations of Karma – the collective Laws of the Universe including The Law of Cause and Effect – what we do in one incarnation will follow us into our next incarnation (or another future incarnation), as suggested by the following saying of Yahshua: “As you sow in one life, so will you reap in another.” That teaching is echoed by Miriam: “The hurt you cause in the morning will overtake you in the evening.” She similarly declares: “Hurt comes to the hurtful.” But she also makes clear that, as long as we are kind to all creatures, we need not fear our future incarnations: “Yea, I tell you truly, those that are kind to all creatures need not fear their own futures.”

5. Once we are sufficiently evolved and need not reincarnate anymore, we still are free to choose to incarnate in a lower realm where mortal flesh must be worn as a garment if we are to be seen and heard by those that we wish to teach and help. Unless we manifest a body that is within the spectrum of vibration that the people we are ministering to can sense – be aware of – and communicate with, we must remain invisible to them and serve them in other ways such as serving as prayer angels.

In regard to point five above, once we reach a certain level of spiritual evolution we will have angelic bodies that never die. At that point, we are not required to reincarnate anymore. That does not mean we will be done learning and growing – the universe is infinite and we will always have new lessons to learn. But, at that point, WE WILL HAVE TRANSCENDED THE WHEEL OF REQUIRED DEATH AND REBIRTH. However, in order to be seen, touched, and considered “real” by physically incarnated beings of a lower evolutionary level whom we wish to help, we may sometimes CHOOSE to incarnate physically. Such a CHOSEN incarnation motivated by divine compassion rather than bondage to flesh is the act of an “AVATAR.” This explains why Yahshua and Miriam, the SUPREME AVATARS and SUPREME CHRISTS, take physical incarnations even though not bound to the wheel of required physical birth and death: DIVINE COMPASSION!

Countless Heavenly and Hellish Realms. In regard to the related concept of “heaven/s” and “hell/s,” Nasarean Christianity – based on The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way – believes that both Heaven and Hell are VERY REAL. However, our understanding of the nature of heaven and hell is quite different than the mainstream Christian doctrine. The mainstream Christian teaching is that, based solely on this one brief incarnation, you will either go to Heaven forever or will BURN IN HELL FOR ETERNITY. They teach that the vast majority of humans will BURN IN HELL. We reject that teaching as false. The notion that a SUPREME BEING would send the majority of human beings to BURN IN TORTUROUS AGONY FOR ETERNITY based solely on their status in this one brief incarnation is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Such a “God” would actually be a “Devil!”

Here are five key points in regard to the Nasarean Essene teachings on Heavens and Hells:

1) There is not only one Heaven and one Hell; rather, there are countless Heavenly realms and countless Hellish realms.

2) Beings live in the realm of the universe they deserve to (including the planet they live on), — according to the universal law of karmic justice (CAUSE and EFFECT) that works in conjunction with DIVINE MERCY.

3) Heaven and Hell are experienced first inwardly — as inner states of being — and then become manifest in our outer circumstances as well.

4) Although there are countless heavenly realms – and hell realms – within the Mother Ovum (the Nasarean term for our Universe is “Mother Ovum”), the highest heaven – “Heaven Most High” – is outside of the Mother Ovum, surrounding it as a circumference. Heaven Most High is the home of Jah (God Transcendent) and Jahlah (Goddess Transcendent) and will be the future home of those beings who join the Lord Christ and Lady Christ in their mission of mercy and thereby ascend upon the Spiral Ladder of Being and persevere to eventually enter that highest of the countless heavenly realms.

5) The type of body that you have in any particular realm will always correlate with – be appropriate for – that realm. Thus, the Eternal Self that we call the “Soul” will likely reside in many body types, wearing each like a garment of clothing, moving from one body to the next over the ceaseless duration of Eternal Life. Thus, Nasareans believe in reincarnation, though we also believe that, at a certain stage of our spiritual evolution, we will have a permanent body of light that need not reincarnate. Even at that advanced stage of spiritual evolution in which we are no longer required to reincarnate – the stage where we are said to be “off the wheel of required birth and death” –  we may choose to still take occasional incarnations – to reincarnate into physical bodies – in lower realms where those bodies are appropriate AS ACTS OF MERCIFUL INCARNATION to serve as teachers/helpers – “Hands” – of Christ in those worlds.

Martial Arts. Nasareans study our own form of martial art called Zahyen. That martial art is explained in detail in my book, Teachings On Zahyen. Even Nasareans with no interest in the sort of self-defense movements associated with martial arts can practice Zahyen as a meditation movement: I include in Teachings On Zahyen a series of Zahyen Meditation Movements so simple that a child can learn them.

The aspect of Zahyen most pertinent to your understanding of its modern use is that it has historically been employed to defend Mother Nature. That is not done by karate chops – at least not very often – but via Gandhian style nonviolent direct action. Practitioners of Zahyen are called Lions of Zahyen, and one sub-group that specializes in defending Mother Nature from polluters is called: The Green Lions. I am the current head of The Green Lions.

Nasarean White Magic Wizardry and Green Magic Wizardry. Nasarean Wizardry, White Magic, and Green Magic are described in detail in a number of my books including, Magdalene The Wizardess: Her Green Wizardry and Nasarean White Magic! That book features a section dedicated to her Essene Herbal Teachings, a topic that is central to ‘Green Magic’. The main thing to know is that Nasarean White Wizardry/White Magic/Green Magic are all based on LOVE and GOODNESS. The Hebrew word Yidde’oniy means Knowing One and is commonly translated into English as Wizard.

The Nasarean Wizards/Wizardesses were – and are – the highest teachers and priests and priestesses of the Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way. Miriam the Magdalene – and her husband/soul-mate/Co-Messiah Yahshua (‘Jesus’) – were/are the highest ranking of all White Wizards/Wizardesses, according to Nasarean cosmology/theology.

Let us begin by asking – then answering – an obvious question: WHAT IS A WIZARD/WIZARDESS?

In a general sense, to some degree, all of us – even those that are uncomfortable with the word wizard practice wizardry every day. Our thoughts, words, and deeds are our wizardry and conjure things into manifestation that affect not only our own lives, but also the lives of those around us.

Your beliefs, and the words and actions that stem from those beliefs, are your magic (your conjuring), and your magic is only as good as your beliefs, thoughts, words, and deeds are good. What separates acknowledged  wizards from the rest of humanity is simply that they are aware of the above, and are working with it in a formal, conscious way.

Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary Unabridged Second Edition defines wizard as follows:

WIZARD, from WISARD…

1. Originally, a wise man; a sage.
2. a magician; conjurer….
3. a very skillful or clever person.

Having given a good general definition of WIZARD (Wisard) as a Wise-One that typically uses enchantments/chanting/affirmations/words of power/invocations in a more intentional and focused manner than the average general-public-type-wizard, I will now define the word ‘wizard’ within the specific context of Nasarean wizardry.

What is a Nasarean Wizard? Because the word wizard is English, and because the ancient Nasareans did not speak English, they did not use the word wizard. However, they did use a Hebrew word that scholars translate into English as ‘wizard’. That word is Yidde’oniy (pronounced yid-deh-o-nee) and means: a Knowing One. The word Yidde’oniy stems from the Hebrew root yada, which is pronounced yah-dah and means to know. Although the word Yidde’oniy literally means a Knowing One, in the mainstream (non-Nasarean) ‘Old Testament’ that Hebrew word is used as a designation for Conjurers. In the mainstream version of the ‘Old Testament’ – the ‘Torah’ of non-Nasarean Judaism – the word Yidde’oniy (‘Wizard’ or ‘Conjurer’) is used in a negative sense, but that scripture was written by a priesthood that was the avowed enemy of the Nasarean form of Judaism. Nasareans used the word Yidde’oniy in a positive sense, as the title of their highest ranking Priests and Priestesses.

Of course, the Nasarean religion recognizes that there are evil wizards, just like there are evil priests. But the fact that there are some evil priests does not mean that there are no good priests. Likewise with wizards: there are good wizards and bad wizards. Nasarean wizards are good wizards. They are ‘Knowing Ones’ who conjure good things.

The word conjure means to cause something to be, change, or go away, by use of magic or special knowledge. The word conjure is associated with the use of intention (will) and words in the form of entreaty to God/Goddess (or other entities such as Angels), often in the form of an incantation or chant. Again, there are good conjurers and bad conjurers, good incantations and bad incantations. Likewise, there are good entities that one might entreat, and bad. Nasarean Wizards are conjurers of good, and only entreat YHWH (God/Goddess Immanent and Transcendent) or Angels that serve YHWH (e.g. the Angels of the Essene Tree of Life). The word entreat means to ask earnestly. Obviously, prayer is a form of entreaty.

We are surrounded in life by good wizards and bad wizards. Since a wizard (Yidde’oniy) is a Knowing One, a good wizard is one who knows good things and uses those good things in good ways. A bad wizard is the reverse.

Again, if the word wizard bothers you, remember, it is simply the accepted (by scholars) English translation of the Hebrew word Yidde’oniy, which means Knowing One and is used in The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way to describe the most advanced spiritual teachers of the Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way.

Let us next consider the word ‘Magic’ in the context of Nasarean Wizardry. Nasarean Wizards/Wizardesses practice both ‘Green Magic’ and ‘White Magic’. It is important to understand what Nasareans mean by those terms, but let us begin by defining the key word ‘magic’. Because real magic, real wizardry, is about spiritual transformation and the magical alchemy of LOVE, we will ignore the definitions that relate to the pretend magicians that use slight-of-hand and other trickery to entertain audiences.

Webster’s Dictionary defines several key words as follows:

Magic. Noun. Latin magice, from Greek magike (magical art), the magic art, wizardry, from magicos, of the Magi, from magoi, the Magi, priests of the Medes and Persians….

 Magian. 1. of the Magi….

1. a magician; wizard.

A ‘Magi’ or ‘Magian’ is simply a Persian wizard, and that is where we get the words ‘magic’ and ‘magician’.

Magician. 1. an expert in magic; specifically… a wizard.

The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible Of The Essene Way informs us that:

“Nasarean magic flows from our special knowledge. Our special knowledge is our higher knowing.

So, a Nasarean ‘Magician’ is a ‘Wizard’ in the original sense of the word: Wisard, literally Wise-One. Our ‘Magic’ is our ‘highest knowing’, our ‘highest light’, our ‘highest wisdom’, launched toward manifestation in the form of both informal and formal acts of conjuration.

Conjuration. Noun. 1. a conjuring; invocation.
2. a magic spell; incantation.

Nasarean Wizards – Nasarean ‘Wise Ones’ – chant (verbally or mentally; verbally can add extra power) ‘affirmations’ or ‘words of power’ or ‘prayers’ or ‘invocations’.

I will now explain the terms ‘White Magic’ (‘White Wizardry’) and ‘Green Magic’ (‘Green Wizardry’).

For such a seemingly complex concept as ‘White Magic’, the Nasareans have a very simple definition:

“You practice White Magic when you intentionally help good things happen within and around you.

Of course, what one person considers ‘good’ may not be what another person considers ‘good’. And so the teaching is: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and “Do not do to others what you would not have done to yourself.”

Because our understanding of White Magic and ‘goodness’ increases with the expansion of our own awareness, and because that is true of others, we recognize that there are ‘gradients’ or ‘levels’ in the practice of White Magic. Relatively immature understandings and practices of White Magic exist, as do relatively higher understandings and practices. Those ‘wise ones’ of relatively higher understandings and practices of White Magic are the great Wizards and Wizardesses of the various spiritual traditions.

The gradients or levels of understanding and practice in White Magic exist naturally, whether or not one is aware of them. Those levels are referred to as the ascending and descending rungs of the ladder of consciousness. The gradients or levels are also demarcated within the schools of wizardry as specific levels of initiation, such as ‘novice’, ‘apprentice’, ‘adept’, etc.

Nasarean ‘Green Magic’ (‘Green Wizardry’) is only practiced in the context of ‘White Magic’ (‘White Wizardry’). Before I define ‘Nasarean Green Magic’, I will define the more general term ‘Green Magic’ (there are non-Nasarean forms of Green Magic) which is also called ‘Natural Magic’. My thick, unabridged Webster’s Dictionary does not mention the term ‘Green Magic’ but, as a sub-listing under ‘magic’, it offers a brief definition of natural magic:

natural magic; the art of employing the powers of nature to produce effects apparently supernatural.

A much more expansive definition is given in Cassandra Eason’s Complete Book of Natural Magick (many neo-pagan writers use the old English spelling of Magic: Magick); Cassandra writes:

…. natural magick uses tools made from natural materials: wood, clay, herbs, beeswax or crystal [a few examples]. Usually they are very simple because they are secondary to the setting of the spell or ritual. For where possible natural magick is performed outdoors, winter or summer, rain or shine, whether in woodland, on the seashore or in your garden. You can, in really bad weather or if it would not be safe or feasible to cast spells outdoors, practice natural magick inside your home by bringing in flowers, herbs, or berries….

The natural world is a powerhouse of magickal energy that can be used to amplify our personal psychic powers and daily lives…. We all possess these abilities but they can get blunted by modern life. Working with nature rapidly restores the instinctive connection with our own inner self…. At specific times we can tap into the ever-changing energies of the sun, the moon, the seas, lakes and rivers and the weather and into the magickal qualities manifest in different flowers, herbs, trees, and crystals.

Just as many modern neo-pagan writers use the term ‘Green Magic’ as use the term ‘Natural Magic’, and Nasareans use both terms interchangeably. Essentially, the terms mean the same thing. Although many natural substances like beeswax, sun, dried herbs, stones, etc. are not literally colored green, in the term ‘Green Magic’ (or the synonymous ‘Green Wizardry’) the word Green is used loosely as a blanket term for all herbal/natural products used in support of White Magic. Ann Moura – a popular neo-pagan author and self-described ‘Green Witch’ – makes that broad definition of ‘Green’ clear in the following beautiful passage from her book, GREEN MAGIC: The Sacred Connection To Nature.

The practitioner of Green Magic lives a magical life…. She is connected to Nature, aware and appreciative of its sacred rhythms and portents. She observes the rising and setting of the Sun, the phases of the Moon, and the movements of the planets and constellations. She pays attention to the taste of the air, the smell of the Earth, the waving wildflowers, and the behavior of birds and animals. She celebrates the changing of the seasons.

Talking to plants, letting the trees know you appreciate the beauty of their turning leaves, greeting birds and butterflies, and speaking to the clouds are part of the practice of Green Magic….

While that excerpt well describes the lifestyle and attitude of a practitioner of Green Magic, a particular act of Green Magic is likely to involve something like holding a particular herb in your hand while making a magical affirmation while standing in a powerful natural setting – or any of thousands of similar variations that combine natural substances and settings with words of affirmation/conjuration. I am going to demonstrate that Miriam the Magdalene – the Nasarean Female Christ – was herself a practicing Green Wizardess of White Magic and that she performed conjurations – ‘Green Magic’ – of the kind just described. But first, I will explain what is meant by ‘practicing Green Wizardry/Green Magic only in the context of White Magic/White Wizardry.’

First, a reminder of our definition of White Magic:

You practice White Magic when youintentionally help good things happen within and around you.

The definition of ‘Green Magic in the context of White Magic’ is as follows:

When the means of a particular act of White Magic is/are of the domain of practices commonly called ‘Green Magic’, that is called PRACTICING GREEN MAGIC/GREEN WIZARDRY IN THE CONTEXT OF WHITE MAGIC/WHITE WIZARDRY.

For example, if I am holding a particular herb in my hand while chanting a White Magic Affirmation/Prayer in a natural power spot, I am both: a) Practicing Green Magic, and b) Practicing White Magic. But if I am performing an act of White Magic that does not particularly involve any of the elements, settings, or practices of Green Magic in a significant way, I am only then performing b) White Magic.

Would it be possible to perform Green Magic outside of White Magic? Sure; for example: if, while holding a twig while standing in the forest under a full moon, you envisioned your perceived enemy breaking his/her leg, then chanted an affirmation that he or she would break their leg as you symbolically broke the twig, you have then performed Green Magic in the context of Black Magic.

Nasarean Wizardry forbids the practice of Black Magic spells/conjurations. Nasarean Wizardry also teaches a method to keep your formal conjurations firmly established in the domain of White Magic, and includes yogic practices that progressively increase the ‘whiteness’ (‘goodness’/‘kindness’) of even the informal conjurations of your daily life experience.

In her excellent book A Study In Consciousness, in a chapter titled The Will – under the subheading White and Black Magic – Annie Besant differentiates between White Magic and Black Magic:

Magic is the use of the Will to guide the powers of external nature…. The human Will, being the power of the Divine in man, can… bring about the results desired. The difference between White and Black Magic lies in the motive which determines the Will; when that Will is set to benefit others, to help and bless all that come within its scope, then is the man a White [Magic] Magician, and the results which he brings about by the exercise of his trained Will are beneficial, and aid the course of human evolution. He is ever expanding by such exercise, becoming less and less separate from his kind, and is a center of far reaching help.

But when the Will is exercised for the advantage of the lower self… then is the man a Black Magician, a danger to the race [Day: ‘human species’], and his results obstruct and delay human evolution. He is ever contracting by such exercise, becoming more and more separate from his kind, shutting himself within a shell which isolates him, and which grows ever thicker and denser with the exercise of his trained powers.

The Will of the Magician [Day: both Black Magic Magician and White Magic Magician] is ever strong, but the Will of the White Magician is strong with the strength of life, flexible at need, rigid at need, ever assimilating to the great Will, the Law of the universe. The Will of the Black Magician has the strength of iron, pointing ever to the personal end, and it strikes against the great Will, and sooner or later must shiver [Day: shatter] itself into pieces against it. It is the peril of Black Magic… to erect his [the Black Magic Magician] personal Will against the great Law…. Just as it was said… that the saint harmonizing the forces of disharmony within himself is truly the White Magician, so is he a Black Magician who uses for his own gain [Day: in selfish manner] all the forces he has acquired by knowledge, turns them to the service of his own separateness, and increases the disharmony of the world by his selfish graspings….

Eliphas Levi was perhaps the best-known ‘Mystical Christian-Based Wizard’ of the 1800’s. Levi published a list of twenty-two axiomatic sayings on ‘The Will’. Here are seven of those sayings.

  • To will evil, is to will death. A perverse will is the beginning of suicide.
  • To will good with violence, is to will evil, for violence produces disorder, and disorder produces evil.
  • It is by the will that the intelligence sees. If the will is healthy, the sight is just.
  • God said: “Let there be light!” and light is…. This is the meaning of ‘So be it’. [Day: ‘Amen’ means ‘So be it’.]
  • To affirm and to will what ought to be is to create; to affirm and to will what ought not to be, is to destroy.
  • Light is an electric fire put by Nature at the service of the will, it lights those who know how to use it; it burns those who abuse it.
  • Before saying that a man is happy or unhappy, find out what the direction of his will has made of him….

In the axioms listed above, Eliphas Levi demonstrates a belief in ‘Goodness’, and that we can rise on the ladder of truth and ‘Will’ good things, and that this is the power by which we conjure our life circumstances… and is the secret to TRUE HAPPINESS.

Keep in mind our previously given Nasarean definition of White Magic:

You practice White Magic when you intentionally help good things happen within and around you.

Based on that definition, White Magic is linked to two things: 1) Intention; and, 2) Good Things.

To intentionally help good things happen within and around you, you must first intend that good things happen. Your intention is that which you, the intender, earnestly want to happen, that which YOU ARE ‘WILLING’ TO HAPPEN. When we perform An Intending – an intentional act of White Magic, an ‘Affirmation’, an ‘Enchantment’, a ‘Conjuration’, an ‘Incantation’ – we have an Intention (a goal, intended end, purpose, something we want to accomplish) on which we focus our ‘Will Power’ with great attention and earnestness, as we mentally or verbally affirm with great conviction the words of the magical affirmation. For example: “LET THERE BE LIGHT!”

Historically – and this is very true within the Nasarean tradition – Green Magic/Green Wizardry is very associated with ‘Green Environmentalism’ and ‘Green Activism’. By that I mean: Defending Mother Earth – the Green world of nature – from polluters and other harmful practices. That form of Green Wizardry is what much of my ‘Green Wizard Poetry’ is about.

I end this ‘Key Teaching on Green Wizardry/White Magic’ with my previously promised example of Miriam the Magdalene performing an act of Green Magic within White Magic. The following excerpt is from The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way:

Miriam’s Green Magic Enchantment  on the Shore of Lake Mareotis

12. During a windstorm, Miriam picked up a small stone.
13. She climbed onto a large square rock atop a nearby hill and, holding the small stone between her thumb and middle finger, chanted three times the following Green Magic enchantment.
14. She said, “The rock of Universal Love is My strong foundation!
15. According to this enchantment, even amidst the storms of life, Universal Love is My strong foundation!”
16. Amidst the strong winds of both lake and life, Miriam stood strong on that foundation.
17. She taught Her disciples to teach this enchantment to others.
18. She said, “Anyone that wants to know what kind of magic I practice can have their answer in the form of this enchantment.
19. It is an example of Green Magic because it is done in nature, preferably on a windy day, standing on a large stone while holding a small stone.
20. This ‘Green Magic’ can also be called ‘Natural Magic’; by either name, it is also an example of ‘White Magic’, for it affirms the power of Universal Love.
21. All other foundations will one day crumble.”

Environmentalism/Green Activism. You have already noticed in this Appendix that environmentalism and ‘Green Activism’ is a central theme of the Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way. I end this list of Key Teachings by providing an excerpt from the Nasarean Bible that is a great example of this Nasarean ‘Green Ethic’. The following is a prayer – a ‘Communion’ with The Essene Tree of Life – that is spoken every Sabbath morning by Nasareans. There are many Nasarean ‘Communion Prayers’ associated with the various branches and roots of the Essene Tree of Life; this one is specifically linked to the root associated with ‘Mother Earth’. We read in The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way

126. “On the morning of the Seventh Day, which is the Sabbath, commune with Em Erets, the Mother Earth.
127. Speak these words:

‘Earthly Mother, my body is one with your body.

128. I will walk softly on your flesh.
129. I will defend you from the hand of the spoiler.
130. I will be kind to animals: I will not hunt; I will not eat animal flesh.
131. I will help the Earth become once again a garden paradise!
132. Oh Mother, I nurse at your breast!’”

Amen! So be it! ☺
