How Judah Became the Founder of Zahyen

By Day of Greenleaf, the Yaiyr

After defining the word Zahyen, this first chapter will tell the story of how the Nasarean martial art called Zahyen was founded by a man named Judah. I will share the story of how Judah saved a woman named Raphah (she was about to be raped by seven men) by spontaneously performing Zahyen and defeating all seven attackers. Yup, they end up getting married! ☺ They even ascend after their human incarnations and serve together – still married – as Angels of the Tree of Life! (A very successful marriage!☺ I guess it helps when you start off rescuing the damsel in distress from no less than seven rapists! But I won’t put a smiley face here since rape is never funny.

Definition of Zahyen

What is Zahyen? Zahyen is the art of appropriate motion centered in, and stemming from, Stillness. ZAHYEN IS THE ART OF APPROPRIATE MOTION. In a footnote in The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of the Essene Way (I wrote the footnotes) I wrote:

Zahyen is a Nasarean form of Martial Art. The word Zahyen is distinctly Nasarean in pronunciation, being of heavenly origin. Though from the tongue of the Cherubim, it is the ancient precursor to the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet – zayin – which has the numerical value of seven and, according to the Sepher Yetzirah (a Kabbalah text from the Middle Ages), is the letter that “Yah made to be King over motion,” a teaching also found in the Megillah.

Zahyen is pronounced Zaw-yen.

When our motion in life flows from the Stillness that is Yah Consciousness, we are practicing Zahyen. Another way to describe Zahyen is: Mastery of motion. (We understand that ‘Mastery’ is a very relative term; really, we are practitioners of Zahyen always progressing toward ‘Mastery’.) All motions consist of wave patterns that we call vibrations. Some vibrations lead to pain for self and others, some to wellness. ‘Good Vibrations’ are those that lead to wellness. Thus, a practitioner of Zahyen is a practitioner of good vibrations.

Motion – ‘vibratory waves’ – is healthy  helpful when it flows from the Spiritual Stillness – Centeredness – that is Yah Consciousness. Peace is not the absence of activity; rather, peace is perfected activity. Activity is motion. Zahyen is the art of perfected motion.  (As with the term ‘Mastery’, we understand that the term ‘perfected’ is also relative; we are students of Zahyen progressing toward perfected motion.)

Zahyen includes a martial art component, but a dedicated practitioner of Zahyen need not practice the sort of physical combat exercises that are associated with martial arts. They can but should only do so if it is wise and appropriate. In later chapters in this book, I will share other ways – other than physical combat – to practice Zahyen. I will teach a practice called Zahyen Meditative Movements that is one of my favorite ways to meditate. I will also explain how Zahyen can be used in nonviolent forms of political or environmental activism similar to that of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Nevertheless, Zahyen is also a martial art, and this book will provide many examples of Nasareans – including Yahshua (‘Jesus’), Moses, and the Magdalene – using it in defensive physical combat, always as a last resort. As we shall see, a Nasarean ‘Lion of Zahyen’ – that is the term for a practitioner of Zahyen – is instructed to first attempt to solve problems by employing Nasarean philosophy.

The goal of Zahyen is not different than the general goal of The Essene Way: to bring wellness to self and others through balance and good vibrations in loving service to YHWH by practicing and teaching Essene Yoga, our religion. However, it is also true that Zahyen came into existence as a martial art because it was needed and appropriate to serve the cause of goodness in a particular situation. An innocent woman was being attacked by a gang of men who intended to rape her. A very spiritual Nasarean man named Judah (the Hebrew name Yehuda has come into English as Judah) came upon this situation and acted appropriately. In that moment he became the founder of the Nasarean Martial Art called Zahyen.

The fact that Judah was the first Master of this martial art means that he had no teacher. If he had no teacher, how did he learn Zahyen? Did he invent it? Actually, we learn in The Holy Megillah that the martial art called Zahyen was spontaneously awakened within Judah in a moment of crisis. A woman named Raphah was trying to climb the Holy Mount at the center of the Garden of Eden to join the Nasarean Qebutsah (Qebutsah means Communal Village). That Qebutsah was the only large settlement in the Garden of Eden that had not yet fallen to the Luciferian influences. Raphah felt called from within to climb the Holy Mount and join the Nasareans. But there were seven Luciferian soldiers blocking the path of ascent up the Mount. [Lucifer was in the Garden of Eden masquerading as Yahweh, telling the people that he was ‘the Lord God’.] These soldiers attacked Raphah, broke her legs, and were about to rape her when Judah arrived on the scene. It was at this moment that the Nasarean martial art Zahyen awakened within Judah.

It was entirely appropriate motion that flowed from Judah, appropriate for the exact situation he found himself in. The martial art form of Zahyen flowed naturally and appropriately from the Stillness of Yah Consciousness within Judah.

That is why we define Zahyen as THE ART OF APPROPRIATE MOTION.

Here follows the account of Judah’s spontaneous and appropriate manifestation of Zahyen as a martial art. The context is that, due to Luciferian interference in the original human homeland called ‘Eden’ (Lucifer was masquerading as Yahweh, telling the early humans that he was God), the ‘Garden of Eden’ region had become extremely violent. The only truly peaceful place left was the Nasarean ‘Mount of Peace’. Three Nasareans – Abdiel, Adam, and Eve (the first three Essene Priests on this planet) sat atop the holy mount and drummed and sent out a spiritual call for nonviolent high-vibe persons to ascend the mount and join them in creating a Nasarean settlement. The first person to ascend the mount in answer to the holy call was a woman named Ishshah. We pick up the story there; Ishshah has just joined the three drummers and reports the following to them:

46. Ishshah said, “There is an injured woman on the path below.
47. I came upon her as I followed the sound of your drumming.

48. I tended her wounds and left her in the care of another while I came in search of the healing herbs that grow atop this Mount.
49. I must return to her.”
50. Abdiel replied, “We will accompany you.”
51. And the story of the injured woman is as follows.

52. When the three Nazarites had first began to play their drums atop the Mount, Raphah heard the call.
53. She followed the sound within her and walked toward the Mount.
54. As she neared the path that leads up the holy Mount, behold: a gang of men stood at a fork in the road.
55. “We are soldiers of the Lord God”, one of the men said.
56. Another said, “Do not climb this path; the Lord God forbids it.”
57. A third man, pointing to a crooked path leading toward the outskirts of the Garden, said: “Take our path instead; for our path is the way of the Lord God.”

58. Raphah replied, “I do not feel called to go your way.
59. Lo: I am called from within to take the path up the Mount.”

60. A fourth man said, “Be warned: the Lord God is a jealous and powerful God; he has told us what to do to women who defy him.”
61. A fifth man said, “Will you obey us?
62. We are the chosen ones of Yahweh.”

63. Raphah replied, “I know not the voice of your God.
64. Behold: I shall ascend the holy Mount.”

65. The men were angered and began to beat Raphah with their hands and staffs.
66. And upon their staffs was the image of the serpent, for Lucifer was the Master of the Priesthood of the Serpent.

67. A sixth man said, “The Lord God has declared that rebellious women will come to fear the serpent.”
68. Lo: the men pushed Raphah to the ground and broke both her legs with stones so that she could not escape.
69. In obedience to the voice of Lucifer who falsely claimed to be Yahweh, the men were about to rape Raphah.
70. For, Lucifer had commanded them to subdue all rebellious women and make babies with them this way, that a chosen race might arise.

71. But as the men prepared to rape Raphah, behold, another man approached and asked: “What are you doing to this woman?”
72. The name of this man was Judah, and he had heard the drumming of the Nazarites and had followed the sound to this place.
73. “We are soldiers of the Lord God, and we are going to plant his seed in this woman”, one of the men said.
74. Judah asked Raphah, “Woman, is it your will that these men do this?”
75. Raphah, crying, replied: “It is not my will that they touch me.
76. I am called from within to ascend the holy Mount.
77. These men forbid me to pass, and they beat me and broke my legs.”

78. One of the men shouted, “We do the will of the Lord our God.
79. He forbids that any man or woman pass up the path of this Mount.”
80. Judah replied, “I, too, am called from within to take this path up the Mount.
81. And I am called to help this woman.
82. I ask that you release her to my care and leave now.”

83. The men laughed and began to mock Judah.
84. They swang their staffs to strike him, but, behold: Judah began to move according to Zahyen.
85. For, it was Judah who was the first Master of Zahyen on this world.
86. He mastered Zahyen without any teacher, for he was the first teacher of Zahyen.
87. Yea, the way of Zahyen was within him, and it came out because of the need to defend Raphah.
88. Lo: Judah whirled and avoided the blows of the men.
89. He kicked the staffs out of their hands, and, using the force of the men’s violent movements against them, caused them to loose their feet and tumble to the ground.
90. Again and again their attacks failed.
91. Again and again the men tumbled to the ground.
92. Again and again Judah, the first Master of Nasarean Zahyen, turned their aggressive movements against them.
93. As Judah fought the seven soldiers of Lucifer, another woman [Ishshah] arrived and began to tend the wounds of Raphah.
94. Finally, the defeated men fled.

Notice that in verse 82 above, Judah first attempted to solve the problem through verbal communication. That became one of the key tenets of Zahyen: to first try to solve problems nonviolently. The following excerpt from The Holy Megillah on Essene Zahyen makes that clear.

This excerpt is a description of the ‘Tribe of Lions’, a ‘tribe’ (‘group of Essenes’)  that includes all students and teachers of Zahyen regardless of where they reside. We read:

102.  “Let there be Shevet Arayot,  the Tribe of Lions, which is the Nasarean Army.
103. Behold: this army wages war without killing.
104. Yea, this is the Tzevaot Hayot, the Army of Life; for, they defend life from violence.
105. Though they kill not, they are as brave as lions.
106. For, each Nasarean Lion shall be trained in Zahyen.
107. And Zahyen is mastery of the movements of body and mind.

108. “Lo: the only weapons permitted the Nasarean soldier are his philosophy, body, and wooden staff.
109. The staff must not have sharp ends or metal and may only be used to disarm others who carry lethal weapons.
110. The primary weapon of the Nasarean Lion is his philosophy, which is the Bahir Shibathayim with added training in Zahyen.
111. The secondary weapon of the Nasarean Lion is his body, which has been trained in Zahyen.
112. The third weapon of the Nasarean Lion is the wooden staff that he has been trained to use in Zahyen.
113. The staff is the weapon of last resort.
114. Philosophical discourse is the weapon of first resort.
115. “The primary purpose of Shevet Arayot is to serve Shevet Nazarim, and thereby all of Yesar’el, by accompanying the preachers as they roam the world.
116. They will also defend Nasarean Qebutzot [Nasarean villages], though they may not kill.
117. And wherever they roam, they will defend the defenseless, but will never kill.
118. Behold: it is better to die than to kill, for the soul of the killer will fall into foul pits in the life to come.
119. Therefore many Qebutzot will be destroyed when attacked by heavily armed combatants.
120. But you are to prefer dispersion over killing, for the soul of a dispersed Nasarean will rise high in the life to come, provided the Essene Way is not abandoned.
121. To kill is to abandon the Way.

122. “Lo: the Bahir Shibathayim is the New Covenant given after the fall of this world.
123. Had there been no fall, there would be no need of Shevet Arayot.
124. Even so, they kill not, preferring death to killing.
125. For, death does not prevail over the non-killer.

126. “Nasarean Lions, be not despondent when you see the armies of darkness appear to win victory after victory; for, victory is not always what it seems.
127. Yea, and he who seems to be the victor may later be revealed to be the vanquished.
128. For true victory is the expansion of consciousness, not the expansion of worldly possessions.
129. And this victory is won through service rendered in love.

130. “Think not that the other tribes perform their work effectively but you fail in yours; for, your success can not be easily measured.
131. Behold: If you let yourself be killed by a spear rather than use the spear to kill another, do you fail?
132. I tell you truly, such defeat is the greatest success.
133. Therefore, be not despondent by apparent defeats.
134. But neither should you boast nor use your strength to intimidate others; for such behavior is not the way of Shevet Arayot.
135. Blessed are they who keep the way of Shevet Arayot!
136. They are of the nation of Yesar’el!
137. They are working for Jah-Jah and shall receive heavenly blessings!”

Because the Nasarean Army is not supposed to kill, it is known as the ‘Army of Life’. Elsewhere it is referred to as ‘The Army of Peace’. We saw above that, like Judah, we are to first try and solve our disputes nonviolently.

Because this chapter is especially focused on Judah, the founder of Zahyen, I will now share an excerpt in which he gives seven key teachings on Zahyen. This excerpt is from a section of The Holy Megillah called: Matriarchs and Patriarchs: Precepts of the Nasarean Elders and Eldresses. In that section, the leader of each of the ‘Twelve Tribes’ of the Nasareans gives seven ‘precepts’ to guide their ‘tribe’. It is important to note that these ‘tribes’ are not based on ethnicity or where we live. Rather, each Nasarean ‘tribe’ is a sort of ‘working guild’, a group of Nasareans that share the same sort of work. Judah, as the first leader of The Tribe of Lions, the Nasarean Army of practitioners of Zahyen, spoke the following seven precepts. A ‘precept’ is a ‘key teaching’.

26. Behold: Judah spoke The Seven Precepts of Illumination for the Way of Shevet Arayot, the Tribe of Lions.
27. Here follows those precepts.

28. (1) Be at One with the past, present, and future; that Oneness is called ‘Here and Now’ and is The First Position of Zahyen.

29. (2) Be at Peace with your past, present, and future; that Peace is called ‘Self-Awareness with Bliss’ and is The Second Position of Zahyen.

30. (3) Be in Love Most High; that Love is called ‘Service to all Creation’ and is The Third Position of Zahyen.

31. (4) Enter the Gate of Zahyen in Humility with Respect; this is called ‘Service within the Lions of Zahyen’ and is The Fourth Position of Zahyen.

32. (5) Grow in Wisdom through Omnah; this is called ‘Progress’ and is The Fifth Position of Zahyen.

33. (6) Be a Trustworthy Friend within the Lions of Zahyen; this friendship is called ‘Proven Loyalty’ and is The Sixth Position of Zahyen.

34. (7) Be a Master of Zahyen; this mastery is called ‘Zahyen’ and is The Seventh Position of Zahyen.

In regard to Precept One (verse 28), a Nasarean Lion is always also a Nasarean Yogi. It is by practicing Nasarean Yoga – those are the practices of the Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way – that we can attain the ability to, as Judah said: Be at One with the past, present, and future. That state is linked to having a strong Present Moment of Awareness in the Here and Now. We attain that experience by practicing Essene Yoga. Note that, according to Judah, The First Position of Zahyen is not a physical one. It is a spiritual one.

Precept Two (verse 29) takes it a step further. While it is good to achieve the First Position –  to be ‘at one’ in Present Moment Awareness with your past, present, and future – that is Honest Self-Awareness – it is an additional step to be AT PEACE with your past, present, and future. If you are AT PEACE with your past, present, and future, then you have ‘Self-Awareness with Bliss’.

Having attained Inner Peace, be a Servant to all Creation. That is the call of The Third Precept.

The Fourth Precept refers to those Nasarean Yogis that actually choose at some point in their lives to seek initiation into the Lions of Zahyen. The previous three steps are for all Nasarean Yogis, even a farmer or artist. The Fourth Precept is specifically for those that seek to enter the Tribe of Lions in a formal manner. Any Nasarean of the right spiritual attitude is a sort of ‘Nasarean Lion’, but The Fourth Precept is for those that want to actually join the Nasarean Army of martial artists.

To do that is to “enter the Gate of Zahyen”. There is a section of The Holy Megillah dedicated to that specific topic. It will be the focus of the second chapter of this book.

The Fifth Precept of Judah given above declares that, having entered ‘the Gate of Zahyen’ – which is entry into the School of Zahyen to be trained – at Step Four, the Fifth Step is to be a good student and make progress. The word ‘Omnah’ means ‘tutelage’.

That brings us, over time, to The Sixth Precept. By being a sincere, diligent, persistent student, one progressively establishes oneself as a trusted, loyal friend within the Lions of Zahyen. That is The Sixth Position of Zahyen.

If we attain the Sixth Position through a period of years in which we pass study courses, take further initiations, prove trustworthy and loyal in all ways, then – and only then – we may become a Master of Zahyen. As will be made clear in the next chapter, ‘mastery’ does not mean you ‘know it all’. It means that you have studied a lot over a long period and have proven trustworthy and loyal enough to TEACH ZAHYEN.  You may or may not choose to formally teach Zahyen, but your very life is itself an example of Zahyen. Becoming eligible to formally teach Zahyen is The Seventh Position of Zahyen.

We will now look at the life that Judah and Raphah lived as man and wife – they were married after he saved her – and will learn that they later ascended to become Archangels. I will share their angelic names!

The Megillah does not provide lengthy information about the married life of Judah and Raphah, but it provides enough for us to understand why they were considered worthy to become Archangels of the Essene Tree of Life after their death as humans. In the Nasarean Book of Genesis (Mattanah) section of the Megillah, we read:

1. From their seven villages the Nasareans ministered to the needs of Kush.
2. Yea, even unto the needs of the world, for there were now nations forming outside the boundaries of Kush.
3. And the nations made war on one another.
4. Raphah the Healer became known as Raphah the Peacemaker, for she not only healed the bodies of those injured by war, but also walked the world teaching the way of peace.
5. Behold: when war broke out between nations, she visited the leaders of the nations and taught the way of peace.
6. And Judah was by her side.
7. And in their old age they were killed while preaching peace.
8. But only their bodies were killed; for, behold: their souls went to Elkush and they were given Cherubic bodies.
9. Yea, Judah was given the name Mika’el, and now serves as the Angel of Power of the Tree of Life for this world.
10. And Raphah was given the name Raphah’el, which means Healer of Elohim, and now serves as the Angel of Peace of the Tree of Life for this world.
11. And Mika’el and Raphah’el are eternal consorts, as two wings of the Tree of Life.
12. Lo: they live in Elkush with the Lord and Lady and minister unto our world.

In a footnote that I wrote in The Holy Megillah (I wrote all of the footnotes in the Megillah), I explained why the angelic name Mika’el was appropriate for Judah:

Mika’el is the original Hebrew version of the familiar English name Michael. It means ‘Who is like Elohim?’ He was given that name for the following reason. Although he was the first master of Zahyen and became the Angel of Power, he was – and is – the epitome of humility. When he received praise that he was Godlike, he humbly refused to accept such praise. Certainly, he understands – and has achieved – the level of Twinship (a level of initiation within the Nasarean religion), whereat we realize our essential oneness with Elohim. And yet he knows that even after attaining that Twinship, we always remain the younger brothers and sisters of Elohim, always with much to learn from Them. Without that sort of humility, we risk making the same error that Lucifer and other fallen angels have made: To consider ourselves equal to Elohim. Mika’el is a perfect example of such humility, as implied by his name. And that makes him the perfect choice to serve as The Angel of Power.

Since Judah, the founder of Zahyen and the focus of this chapter, became The Angel of Power of the Essene Tree of Life Branch of Power, let us make certain we understand the type of power he represents. Doing so will help us understand the type of power that a practitioner of Zahyen seeks to cultivate and manifest. We will begin that exploration by examining some verses from The Holy Megillah about the Nasarean Calendar in which the third month of the year is named Power. In Chapter Sixteen of the Nasarean Book of Genesis (Mattanah), we read:

24. “The name of the third month shall be Kowach [Power]; for, Jah and Jahlah, desiring to have many children, and having conceived in Love and Wisdom the Divine Plan of Creation, manifested Their desire with an act of great Power: the birth of the Mother Ovum!
25. Behold: out of nothing came everything!
26. Truly, this was Power, indeed!
27. Wherefore, there is no greater Power than that of creativity, and the truly powerful are those who are creative.
28. But be warned: use your Power in love and wisdom, lest your creations be hurtful, and your Power be taken from you.”

The warning of verse 28 is very much needed in our world today. Because personal ‘power’ is so often not an extension of love, we often associate the word ‘power’ with false, limited, worldly forms of power. Verse 28 calls us to consider very carefully the meaning of POWER.

Power. What comes to your mind when you read or hear that word? Do you feel good or bad about that word? I ask for the following reason: Power has both a bad reputation and a good one. As far as its good one, power can be used in many positive ways to do good. Every movement of every natural thing – including every movement of your body – is a manifestation of power.

The bad reputation of power – and the bad feeling that some people get when they hear that word – stems from the fact that we have all been on the receiving end of inappropriate uses of power. On a personal level, we have experienced bully-energy before, and on a group level we have experienced or witnessed inappropriate uses of power by governments, corporations, and other worldly powers and principalities. Nevertheless, most people want more power for themselves and for those that they love and for those persons that do good.

Let us begin our examination of the word power by consulting the thickest dictionary on my wizardly bookshelf. Then we will look at how the word power is used in the Essene teachings. We read in my old Webster’s Dictionary:

Power. noun. [from Old Latin potere, ‘to be able’.]

  1. ability to do; capacity to act; capability of performing or producing.
  2. a specific ability or faculty.
  3. great ability to do, act, or affect strongly; vigor; force; strength.
  4. a) the ability to control others; authority; sway; influence; b) legal ability or authority; c) a document giving it.
  5. physical force or energy; as, electric power.
  6. the capacity to exert physical force or energy, usually in terms of the rate or results of its use; as, 60-Watt power.
  7. a person or thing having great influence, force, or authority.
  8. a nation, especially one possessed of in-fluence over other nations.
  9. national might or political strength;
  10. a spirit or divinity.
  11. an armed force; army, navy.

The thick old Webster’s lists a number of additional meanings of power, only one of which I will report:

16. in mechanics, that which produces motion.

You get the point: there are many different meanings for the word power. Essenes, like anyone else, may use the word in various ways to express different meaning in different contexts. But all of those meanings have their origin in the Old Latin word meaning to be able. Notice above that the first three most primary definitions of power are all obviously nearly the same as the old root meaning. If we look at definition one of power – ability to do; capacity to act; capability of performingwho among us would not want to possess a high degree of that type of power? And there is nothing wrong with having the kind of power described in definition number two above: a specific ability or faculty. And definition number three sounds downright healthy: great ability to do, act, or affect strongly; vigor, force; strength.

It is in definition number four that we first meet one of the definitions that is linked to some of the negative feelings that we sometimes have when we hear the word power: the ability to control others. While that ability might be used in a positive way, too often we experience it being used inappropriately or down right devilishly. Read all the above definitions and ponder the positive and negative manifestations of power in various contexts. In fact, consider doing so a wizardly assignment, from me to all of us! For, the difference between a good wizard and an evil wizard –  or a good martial artist and an evil one – is revealed by how they wield power, and by what powers they serve and align themselves with.

Since power is, at the root, the ability to do, the capacity to act, vigor, force, and strength, each of the fourteen forces of the Essene Tree of Life is a power. Consider the following definitions of the word force and notice how similar those definitions are to those of power. In that same thick dictionary, we find:

Force.

  1. strength; energy; vigor; power.
  2. the intensity of power.
  3. physical power or strength exerted against a person or thing.
  4. the power of a person to act effectively and vigorously; moral strength.
  5. the power to control, persuade, influence; effectiveness.
  6. military, naval, or air power

The thick old Webster’s lists a number of additional meanings of force, only one of which I will report:

10. in physics, the cause of motion, or of change or stoppage of motion.

Although all fourteen forces represented by the seven branches and seven roots of the Essene Tree of Life are powers, one of them – the branch called Power – represents the force of power itself. In other words, the branch of Love represents the power of Love, the branch of Wisdom represents the power of Wisdom, the root of Sun represents the power of the Sun, but only the branch of Power represents the power of Power.

In the following excerpts from Essene texts and the scholarly works of Edmond Szekely, please note that the branch of Power is very much linked to the capacity to act, as we would expect having read the primary definitions of power. In the chapter titled, Individual Inventory in Szeleky’s book, Teachings of the Essenes: From Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls (Szekely wrote this book in the 1950’s before most of the Dead Sea Scrolls had been released; at that time, not only Szekely but most other scholars assumed that the Dead Sea Scrolls were authored by Essenes. That is no longer assumed, and, were Szekely alive today, he likely would have left the term ‘Dead Sea Scrolls’ out of the title of this book, since the teachings in it are primarily based on his Essene Gospel of Peace, with a few brief quotes from several Dead Sea Scrolls thrown in because he assumed that they were Essene-authored. If any of the Dead Sea Scrolls were ‘Essene’ authored, it was not by the Nasarean Essenes but by the Aaronite Essenes mentioned in the Megillah, the ones that Peter for a time belonged to before they expelled him. Szekely’s following words on ‘Power’ are very helpful  and emphasize the link between ‘Power’ and one’s capacity to ‘do good’:

Power is manifested continually through man’s actions and deeds, both of which are the result of his cooperation or lack of cooperation with all other powers and forces,in accord with the iron law of cause and effect. The individual is to understand the importance of good deeds; and he is to  realize that his personality, position and environment in life are the result of his past deeds, even as his future will be exactly what his present deeds make it. He is therefore to strive at all times to perform good deeds that express harmony with the laws of both nature and the cosmos.

Those laws referred to in the last sentence are represented by the other thirteen forces of the Tree of Life.

In the chapter titled The Essene Communions in Teachings of the Essenes: From Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls, Szekely writes:

The… evening Communion with the Angel of Power says: “Angel of Power, descend upon my Acting Body and direct all my acts.” As he [the Essene] contemplates the stars, their radiations, and the cosmic ocean of Life, the individual feels the cosmovital forces from the stars being absorbed by the nervous system of the Acting Body.

Sticking to our theme of showing that the Essene Tree of Life branch of power is often linked with the capacity to take action, we read in The Holy Megillah:

110. “On the evening of the fourth day after Sabbath, commune with Malak ha Kowach, the Angel of Power.
111. Speak these words:

‘Angel of Power, descend on me and empower all of my right actions!’”

We see above that the branch of Power is not only linked with action, but more specifically with right actions. ‘Actions’ imply ‘motion’ and, as we previously learned, Zahyen is concerned with appropriate (‘right’) motions rooted in the Still Center.

The following commentary by Nasarean Wizard Hermon on Axiom Thirty-Five of the Golden Dragon (from a section of the Megillah called ‘The Nasarean Emerald Tablet Scrolls’) reinforces that link between ‘Power’ and ‘Right Actions’ and the inherent ‘Goodness’ that one would expect in an Archetype that is the ‘child’ of Supernal Love and Supernal Wisdom’. We read:

Hermon’s Commentary on Axiom Thirty-Five

368. The Vibration Of Merciful Compassion Expressed In Acts Of Kindness is Love In Action, the motion of Goodness, which is the motion of Christ and is not without Wisdom.
369. Love and Wisdom birth ‘The Highest Power.’
370. Another true name for ‘The Highest Power’ is ‘Compassionate Action’, which is of The Nod of Wisdom to Love.

In his sermon titled, Introduction to Essene Yoga, Yahshua described Power Yoga as follows:

450. “Yihud im Kowach [Union with Power] is called Power Yoga.
451. Physical exercises of all kinds through which we cultivate the power of our body in motion are one part of Power Yoga.
452. Those exercises can include the martial arts movements of Zahyen.
453. After all, the founder of Zahyen in this world, Judah, ascended and became the Chief Messenger Angel of The Branch of Power of The Essene Tree of Life in this world.
454. Power Yoga exercises can include the lifting of weights to build muscles in the manner of Roman soldiers but for different reasons; our reasons are to build a strong body in order to better serve Jah-Jah in the field of physical activity.
455. The Daily Walk is a form of exercise that builds the power of our lungs and heart and increases our endurance, an important aspect of strength.
456. Hatha Yoga is an important sub-yoga of Power Yoga.

457. “The most important practice of Power Yoga is the intentional performance of acts of creative Love and Wisdom that birth powerful manifestations of goodness in our environment.
458. Now that is Power!

459. “Another good exercise in Power Yoga is The Contemplation of The Nod of Wisdom to Love in Regard to The Manifestation of Power.
460. The Branch of Power of the Essene Tree of Life is the child of the embrace of The Branch of Wisdom and The Branch of Love.
461. It is that form of power that interests the Essene Yogi, not false or perverted or misused power.

462. “Raising the ‘raw power’ – the Indian yogis call it kundalini – from the base chakra up to the crown chakra, spiritualizing that ‘raw power’, then sending it back down to the base chakra to be used in powerful manifestations of goodness, is another exercise of Power Yoga.
463. That exercise is called Chakra Yoga and is a useful sub-yoga of several of The Fourteen Primary Yogas of Essene Yoga.”

Practitioners of Zahyen are dedicated Essene yogis and thus practice all fourteen of the chief yogas of Essene Yoga, one of which is Essene Power Yoga.

Thus ends this chapter that was especially focused on how Judah became the founder of Zahyen. In the next chapter, we will study some of Judah’s key teachings on Zahyen. These teachings were written by Judah before his death as a human and subsequent ascension to become the Angel of Power of the Essene Tree of Life for this planet.

The Holy Megillah mentions in several places that, in the era that we now obviously live in, The Lions of Zahyen will launch a version of the Green Lions that the general public can participate in so as to try to muster enough people to save the last Old Growth Forests, waterways, and help solve other environmental problems. As the weird weather and unprecedented fire seasons that are becoming an ever-worsening ‘new normal’ unfold before our very eyes, the most potentially catastrophic environmental problem is clearly Climate Change. To save the environment, we will launch ‘Green Lion Think Tank’.

The other main purpose for the modern Green Lion manifestation is to raise public awareness on issues related to A.I. that dovetail with certain prophecies in The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of the Essene Way. Toward that goal of raising public awareness, we will launch: The A.I. Awareness Project.
