I love this topic! ☺
Although I love all fourteen of the chief varieties of yoga that, together as a whole, constitute Essene Yoga, I feel that I have so much amazing information – information that you likely would never otherwise come across – about this topic (Essene Sun Yoga) – that I am extra-excited to begin this book! ☺ That ‘excitement’ is appropriate, in light of the fact that our nervous system is only able to be ‘excited’ because it is itself directly and indirectly ‘excited’ by the energy of the sun! ☺
My most important source of information for this book is The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way. There is an abundance of information in The Holy Megillah that relates to the sun and various aspects of Sun Yoga. I will share, and comment on, various illuminating solar teachings from Magdalene, Yahshua, and various other Essene Elders – including some remarkable solar teachings by the Eldest Wizard, Pehri the Maggid, an acknowledged expert on the topic. My comments on those Megillah solar teachings will include numerous related excerpts from books authored by various experts on the sun, including some with scientific or medical backgrounds. I will also share excerpts about the sun from various non-Nasarean spiritual texts, especially those related to Hinduism and the yoga tradition of India.
I can think of no better place to begin this article than by following the lead of the Megillah and begin with its first teachings about the sun. Those initial Nasarean Essene solar teachings appear in the Nasarean Book of Genesis and will serve to lead us into a discussion about why the Tree of Life Branch of Power is considered to be intimately linked with our sun and with stars in general. We will learn that stars are the interface between the spiritual realm symbolized by the seven branches of the Essene Tree of Life, and the physical realm – ‘Prakriti’ – of Mother Nature, that nature-realm being symbolized by the seven roots of the Essene Tree of Life.
Although the following excerpt from the Nasarean Book of Genesis section of the Megillah is rather lengthy, please be a diligent student and read this excerpt in its entirety; it sets the stage for all that will follow in this article. We read in Chapter Seven of Nasarean Genesis:
1. Behold the stars of the heavens!
2. Hidden within each star is a Temple of Light.
3. For the body of fire of each star is but the outer veil, which we of this world can see.
4. But we cannot see the hidden realm within the star wherein is the Temple, just as no man can see the realm of Spirits with earthly eyes.
5. And that is because neither the Temple of Light nor the realm of Spirits are earthly.6. Think not that the Temple of Light is hot or that the Cherubim live in fire; rather, understand that they live in another realm within the star, which fire cannot touch.
7. And, lo: the beauty of the Temple of Light is such that no man can imagine!
8. And the Beings that live there are beautiful, kind, wise, and helpful.
9. Behold: the Temple of Light within each star is inhabited by Cherubim, angelic Beings of Light.
10. And the Prince of the Cherubim of each star is an Abram; for, he is the High Priest of the Temple of Light, and plants The Seeds of Life on new worlds in his dominion.
11. But only Jahday and Jahnah create Living Souls.12. And the Princess of the Cherubim of each star is a Sarah; for she is the High Priestess of the Temple of Light, and plants The Seeds of Life on new worlds in her dominion.
13. And the worlds that circle a star, are in the dominion of that star.
14. And each star is in the dominion of an Overseeing Star, which is a star that oversees many stars and worlds.
15. Yea, and each Overseeing Star is itself in the dominion of an even greater Overseeing Star.
16. And all stars are in the dominion of The Great Central Sun, which is The Temple of Elohim.
Our excerpt above is not finished; I will be providing more of it. But first I will provide below some clarification in regard to some of the key terms given thus far in the above portion of the excerpt.
The Hebrew word Cherub refers to a class of Supernatural Beings that serve Jah-Jah and Elohim. They are what we would call Angelic Beings of Light, although one is not specifically an ‘Angel’ unless serving as a ‘Messenger’ of Jah-Jah or Elohim. The Hebrew word Mal’ak, which is translated into English as Angel, means Messenger. ‘Cherubim’ is plural for ‘Cherub’.
The Hebrew word Abram mean High Father. As will be made clear later in the excerpt, the name of the Abram of our particular star – our ‘sun’ – is Abraham, which means Father of a Multitude. ‘Abraham’ is his personal name and ‘Abram’ is the office he holds. Thus, he is often referred to as, ‘Abraham the Abram’.
The Hebrew word Sarah means Princess. As will be made clear later in the excerpt, the name of the Sarah of our particular star – our ‘sun’ – is Sa’arah, which literally means Whirlwind but, as explained in the Megillah, is the Nasarean term used to describe the Spiral Dance of Creation. Thus, this Whirlwind is not simply an ordinary whirlwind, but implies a mystical, Creative Whirlwind, associated with the Breath of Life and the feminine principle called by Nasareans Shemayah. ‘Sa’arah’ is her personal name and ‘Sarah’ is the office she holds. Thus, she is often referred to as,‘Sa’arah the Sarah’.
Also worth noting is the similarity of the Hebrew names Abraham and Sa’arah and the Sanskrit names Brahma and Sarasvati. In Vedic literature, a Brahma (a solar deity) oversees each Solar System, and each Brahma is under dominion of a greater Brahma. Also, the female consort of Brahma is Sarasvati. Mere coincidence? Probably not! Most likely, the Vedic tradition has preserved many kernels of the more ancient Nasarean tradition, including vegetarianism, reincarnation, and the idea that there is both a God and Goddess.
Before picking up the excerpt from Nasarean Genesis right where we left off, I have one more clarification to make in regard to verses 1-16 above. Verse 16 referred to ‘The Great Central Sun’ as follows:
16. And all stars are in the dominion of The Great Central Sun, which is The Temple of Elohim.
In The Holy Megillah, I provide the following ‘Expanded Footnote’ (I wrote all the footnotes in the Megillah and am the chief translator) linked to that verse 16 reference to ‘The Great Central Sun’:
The Great Central Sun
In The Holy Megillah, the star that we call our sun is very significant. Of course, whether or not modern people take the sun for granted – and they do – it can never be anything less than profoundly significant. Without the sun, there is no life on earth. No current life, no past life, no future life, no life on this planet at all, ever, without the sun. And yet modern people pay little or no homage to the sun.
Ancient peoples did pay homage to the sun. Modern people are aware that the ancients venerated the sun, but that awareness is very superficial. Moderns think that the ancients venerated the sun as a Deity because they were uneducated primitives who did not know any better. Actually, a deeper study of the teachings of the ancients in regard to the sun reveals a very deep cosmology. They understood that our planet – and every living thing on our planet – is in existential discipleship to the sun.
By the term existential discipleship, I mean that by the very nature of our existence on this planet we are in the role of discipleship to the sun. The sun is senior to us in every way. While we are all – aware of it or not – in existential discipleship to the sun, we are not all in conscious discipleship. To be in conscious discipleship to the sun, we must be aware of the fact that we are in the role of disciple in relation to the sun.
The ancients were very aware of the fact that the sun was senior to them in every way. When I say in every way, I mean even including spiritually and intellectually. We read in the ancient Yajnavalkya Samita:
The spiritual light which is hidden, within the sun, is the light adorable. It shines through the hearts of all creatures as their consciousness. The spiritual light which shines through the physical sun shines through the hearts of every human soul. The light which shines in the heart of all human souls in the form of consciousness, shines also through the universe, which is a living organism.
In the light of the above passage, we realize the fallacy of the modern notion of savage ancients ignorantly venerating the sun. We begin to realize that, in truth, they had a deep cosmology that differentiated between the physical and spiritual light of the sun. Their understanding of the metaphysical aspects of the sun was far more complex and illuminated than moderns appreciate.
In the Isavas Upanishad 15, we read:
“O Lord, you nourish and sustain all that exists. Please remove the disk of the shining sun, so that as I travel on the path, I see your face, behind the Veil of the Sun.”
Again, in the above passage, we see that the ancients were not simply venerating the outer, physical body of the sun – referred to above as the disk or veil of the sun – but were aware that within that body was a profound spiritual reality.
In a Hindu Upanishad, we read:
“O Thou, Who giveth sustenance to the Universe, from whom all things proceed, to whom all things return, unveil to us the true spiritual sun, hidden in a disc of golden light, that we may know the truth, and do our whole duty, as we journey to Thy Sacred Feet.”
Likewise, in The Holy Megillah, the teaching is that there exists a hidden spiritual dimension within the sun. Within the sun is the Seventh Heaven, the highest Heaven of our Solar System. In the same way that the seventh chakra of a human being is called the Crown Chakra and is the highest seat of spiritual awareness in our organism, that Seventh Heaven within the sun is the Crown Chakra of our Solar System, the highest seat of spiritual awareness in our Solar System.
Now comes an important point. Even though the ancient Hindus and Nasareans considered the sun to be the seat of the highest spiritual energy within our Solar System, they knew that our sun is itself in orbit around another distant star, and thus is in discipleship to that star. And that distant star is likewise in orbit (discipleship) to another star – and so on.
Although the ancient (and modern) Hindus and Nasareans acknowledged their discipleship to the highest seat of Light in our Solar System (the sun) and paid due respect, THEY DID NOT WORSHIP THE SUN AS GOD. Yes, they believed that highly evolved spiritual entities lived within a hidden spiritual dimension within the sun and that the sun itself possessed consciousness, but they knew that the sun itself is in discipleship to a long chain of higher (in a spiritual sense) stars, and that every star, heaven, planet, and Being is in discipleship to God/Goddess.
All of which brings us to a significant term: THE GREAT CENTRAL SUN. Because the star of each solar system is considered to be the Crown Chakra of that system, and because each star is in discipleship to higher stars, the Crown Chakra of the All is referred to as The Great Central Sun. This is the celestial home of God and Goddess. But at this level of spiritual manifestation – the God level – this ‘Sun’ is not simply a star; rather, it is the ‘0’ that is the center and circumference of the All and of every constituent part of the All. Though this Great Central Sun is the center of every point of the All, it also is a heavenly realm where God and Goddess play with their friends. Why would it also be that? Because God and Goddess enjoy it!
Thus ends my ‘Expanded Note’ from the Megillah on verse 16 from chapter seven of Nasarean Genesis, the verse that introduced the term ‘The Great Central Sun’. We now pick up right where we left off in our excerpt from Nasarean Genesis:
17. And every Abram and every Sarah are Overseers of a dominion.
18. And every Overseer answers to the authority of the Overseers that have greater dominion.
19. And the authority over all the Overseers is Elohim.
20. Lo: the number of stars and Overseers is infinite; yea, the number is too great to count!
21. Wherefore does Elohim depend upon Overseers to assist in the Great Work of YHWH.22. Behold: when a star goes to seed at the end of its cycle, the Abram and Sarah of that Star, if they have performed their work well, shall ascend to a greater world or star.
23. Lo: they have done well if many of the children of the worlds they oversee have progressed in the Love and Wisdom of Jah-Jah and have thereby ascended to higher heavens and realms.24. Yea, the Stars and Worlds are countless!
25. The Living Beings are countless!
26. The Eternity of Eternities is unfathomable!
27. The world we live on is but one of countless worlds, some higher in spiritual perfection, some lower.28. Lo: the story of the creation of our world follows.
29. Each Living World is under the dominion of a Temple Star.
30. And the Prince of the Cherubim of each Star is an Abram.
31. Lo: the name of the Abram of our Sun is Abraham, which means Father of a Multitude.
32. Thus he is called, Abraham the Abram.
33. And the Princess of the Cherubim of each Star is a Sarah.
34. And the name of the Sarah of our Sun is Sa’arah, which means Whirlwind.
35. Thus she is called, Sa’arah the Sarah.
36. Behold: Abraham and Sa’arah were sweet souls whom had previously pierced the Mother Ovum and enjoyed a Blessed Day of Play with Jah-Jah in Heaven Most High.
37. Now they had returned to the Mother Ovum to serve as Hands of Mercy under Lord Christ Jahday and Lady Christ Jahnah.
38. And Jahday and Jahnah gave to Abraham and Sa’arah a Great Work: the planting of a new Star Seed, and the seeds of its Heavens and Planets and Creatures.
39. And though Abraham and Sa’arah would plant and nurture the seeds, lo: only Jahday and Jahnah were to create such seeds.
40. For, behold: those of the Luciferian Rebellion had begun violating this and other precepts and had thereby spread much evil and pain in many worlds.41. Yea, Lucifer, under the inspiration of Satan, had begun creating his own seeds, not of stars or worlds, for he had not that power, but of evil life forms that he seeded as weeds upon many worlds.
42. But Abraham and Sa’arah were righteous and violated not The Precepts of our Lord and Lady.
43. Lo: they joyfully and willingly followed the instructions of King Jahday and Queen Jahnah, and planted only the seed given to them.
44. Yea, Abraham and Sa’arah, disciples of the Lord Christ and Lady Christ, were made Overseers of the new Star we call our Sun, and they were given good seed to plant.
In those verses we have been told that, contrary to what most modern people believe, the sun is populated by living beings – spiritual entities – that live in a spiritual dimension within the heart of the sun, and that these beings are overseen by Solar Regents, Abraham and Sa’arah, who are highly evolved beings that have been given this job by the Lord Christ and Lady Christ (a.k.a. King Jahday and Queen Jahnah).
We have been told that these Solar Regents are in charge of the evolutionary development of this solar system, and that this system is, in turn, one link in a chain of such solar systems within the Milky Way Galaxy, all of whom are part of the Spiral Ladder of Spiritual Evolution that includes countless such galaxies. It was also made clear that not only our solar system, but all of them throughout the countless galaxies, are overseen by Elohim (that term, in Nasarean lingo, refers to the Lord Christ and Lady Christ). They were given that job – the job of being the overseers of ‘The Mother Ovum’ (the entire universe of space/time) – by God Transcendent (Jah) and Goddess Transcendent (Jahlah), who themselves reside in a spiritual realm (Heaven Most High) outside of the space/time universe, but remain connected to it via the Crown Chakra of every being. Elohim chooses solar regents to help them oversee the evolution of each solar system; they chose Abraham and Sa’arah to be their chief helpers with our sun and its system of planets.
From the time I was a new Essene – ‘new’ in terms of this lifetime anyway! ☺ – at age seventeen, I have been a student of the sun. One part of that studentship has been to look for the very best writings about the sun that I could find; I have now done that for nearly fifty years. Those are the books that I will be excerpting from; they are the cream of the crop! Most, if not all, of the authors of the books I will excerpt from have died, and most of the books are no longer in print. I have saved them in my personal wizardly library, taking them with me whenever I moved (these books are physical objects, not digital books), always knowing that one day I would write a book about the sun in which I would share many great excerpts from these texts. Now is that time, and I actually find it exciting! In these excerpts, I am providing important, rare information to which you otherwise would most likely never have been exposed. Lengthy as some of these excerpts are, I urge you to be diligent and read them, perhaps with a tolerant smile on your face in the awareness that I am having fun sharing them! ☺
The following excerpt from one of my favorite books about the sun – Toward a Solar Civilization – reinforces many of the ideas found in our excerpt from the Nasarean Book of Genesis. The author, Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov, a dedicated Solar Yogi who truly loved the sun, writes:
People sometimes wonder who was the first person to teach men the arts of writing and agriculture, the use of fire and certain tools. Various names are put forward but, in reality, it was no man but the sun who was at the origin of these discoveries. You will perhaps say that that is all nonsense! That the sun is not an intelligent being and that he has neither a brain nor a mouth with which to speak! According to you, then… human beings have a monopoly on intelligence! The one being to whom all life on earth owes its existence doesn’t possess intelligence!
Without light, science simply cannot exist. What can anyone see in the dark? Nothing at all…. So, you see, the sun gives light, warmth and life…And yet he is the last being to be loved and respected by human beings. But that is where I’m different: I’m for the sun!….
The earth itself and the other planets all come from the sun. It was he who begot them. That is why the earth contains the same elements as the sun but in condensed form, as solids. All the minerals, metals and precious stones, all the plants, all the gases and all subtle or dense bodies – whether in the soil, in water, in the air or on the etheric plane – all come from the sun….
[Even gold comes from the sun.] But gold is not the only matter that is a condensation of the light of the sun. Coal, petroleum, wood and all the materials used in manufacturing… are all condensed sunlight. Everything produced by industry, even the clothes we wear, comes from the sun. The whole of our economy is based on the products of the sun, but the sun itself is neglected and forgotten….
That is why it is high time to restore the sun to his rightful place [of honor, respect, and appreciation] …. If you do this, the situation will improve, first of all in your own minds and subsequently throughout society. Everything will go better. You will ask, “But how can our attitude towards the sun lead to the results you mention?” …. Of course, it seems a detail, but in the long run the reversal of values has brought about extremely serious and complicated consequences in all areas of life….
When I first came to France, in 1937, l remember saying that in the future, men would no longer use wood, coal or petroleum to produce energy. They would use only the sun’s rays. People were a long way from believing me at the time but they are beginning to see that I was right [Day: Omraam wrote this book in 1982], because it is now well known that the present sources of energy will soon be exhausted and men will be obliged to turn to more subtle sources of energy which are inexhaustible. In the future we shall all draw our light and heat from the sun. We shall travel thanks to the sun’s energy. We shall even be nourished by the light of the sun.
Deprived of sunshine men could never have existed. They could never have moved or worked. Without the warmth of the sun they could never have experienced feeling. Without his light they could never have had the faculty of sight, and not only on the physical level but also on the intellectual level: they could never have had understanding, for understanding is a higher form of sight….
And now, if I tell you that it was the light of the sun acting on our physical bodies that formed our eyes you won’t believe me either. And yet it is the strict truth. The sun created our eyes…. In the same way that it was his warmth acting on our bodies that created the organs of feeling: the heart, the mouth and, above all, the skin and the sense of touch….
The sun commands everything…. He is like the conductor of an orchestra or a king on his throne. When he decides something, he only has to give the signal and all the spirits he has sent to earth or to the other planets hasten to carry out his wishes. They modify something in the atmosphere or in the electro-magnetic currents and all kinds of changes take place in the vegetable, animal and human kingdoms, in the biological, psychological, economic and social spheres. Everything that happens on earth is commanded by the sun.
Solar eruptions and spots on the face of the sun are simply signals that the sun sends out to a whole hierarchy of intelligent beings who are there to carry out his orders. One day science will accept my ideas. It is impossible that it should not tread the same path. And that is why, here and now, I say to scientists, “Leave what you’re doing in your laboratories alone and give all your attention to the sun. Everything is in the sun: health, wealth and the happiness of mankind.”
I hope that you are getting excited by this excerpt from Omraam! I get excited every time I read it! ☺ I am going to give you more of it, but first, in support of what Omraam just asserted – the words “Everything is in the sun” – I am going to provide an excerpt that explains how that assertion is LITERALLY TRUE, true in ways that you likely never imagined! If this supporting excerpt does not even further excite you – bringing you to the point of electromagnetic ecstasy ☺ – then I may not be the writer to excite you! But I hope I am! If the following excerpt from one of the greatest esoteric scientific thinkers to ever write about the sun seems too difficult for you to understand, I invite you to drink some green tea and try again! ☺ Here goes; this is from Walter Russell’s book, The Secret of Light (I fixed a few typos for Walter):
All things in this solar system come from the sun and return to it. The “life germ” for which man is seeking is in the sun. The idea of man is in the sun; likewise, all ideas of all things are in the sun awaiting birth into form.
The pulsing light of polarity births all ideas into form when conditions are favorable for each idea to be mothered by an extension of the sun. Everything in Nature is a moving extension from a still point of the One Light.
The center of the sun in our solar system is the point of still Light from which everything in the entire solar system radiates spirally, and toward which gravitates spirally for its resurrection into another cycle. The sun is the seed of this solar system from which all manifestations of idea in this entire system extend, and to which they return.
Motion is for the sole purpose of manifesting idea. All idea springs from a state of rest in its seed. As it unfolds from its seed, it refolds into it….
All the suns of all the heavens are centered by the still points of omnipresent Light from which all idea extends and returns. The earth has been extended from the sun for that very purpose.
Organic life is part of God’s One Whole Idea. Organic life cannot be expressed in form in the sun although the idea of it is there. Everything which appears on earth as form of idea is in the sun as concept of that idea in the seed.
The seed is the father-light which extends its idea of man and other creating things out into far space where its children, the planets, have sufficiently cooled to manifest the man-idea in organic form. Suns are crucibles which birth their children, the earths, and set them out to cool in order that God’s idea which is in the formless suns, can manifest form in the sun’s extensions.
The Creator scatters… seeds of light throughout all space to father and mother all birthed… forms of His imagining. In the still center of suns is all idea for birthing into the images of God’s imagining, but in the oneness of the light of suns they are without form and void. All seeds are without form and void even though the patterns of… idea is in them.
The oneness of incandescent suns must be divided and extended to cooling earths before the ideas of the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms can sequentially unfold to prepare the way for man’s unfolding from his seed in the sun.
All expression of [the] idea of earth is likewise in the sun and must be extended to earth for manifestation. Mountains and oceans are in the sun… also all things else…. All of these are light, and such expressions of the [One] Light are possible only through division and extension of the One Light into the two which manifest the One…..
The idea of all things is omnipresent in the One still Light. The expression of all idea is extended to the two lights of white suns and black space surrounding suns which manifest the Creator’s two desires.
Desire for expression is manifested by the electric action-reaction sequences of interchange between the two opposing white and black lights of suns and space. [Day: in this excerpt ‘black light’ is ‘space’.] It is this interchange which polarizes the still seed of idea into unfolding form of that idea.
To polarize means to divide stillness into opposing pulsing extensions [Day: yin and yang] ….
In this manner the womb of mother earth becomes impregnated with the seed of the man-idea extended from the sun, and the first cell of man unfolds from mother earth into the heavens toward the refolding light of the father. This first pulsation of the mother-light which is birthing God’s idea into patterned form is the black light negative half of its pulsation cycle. The unfolding mother-light that reaches out into the heavens is the black light of expansion.Black light is the negative [Day: yin] pattern of the positive [Day: yang] idea of light as expressed by incandescence. In other words, black light is expanded, or unfolded, white light. Conversely, white incandescent light is contracted, or refolded black light. This is Nature’s method of giving formed bodies to formless idea….
Man’s electrically-sensed body is not the immortal man which his body manifests. His body is not the individual to which he attributes his life and Being. His body is composed of a few chemical elements borrowed from earth and sun to fashion into an instrument for his use. When his body disappears, the individual which inhabited that body is not dead….
At no time during the entire cycle are creating things without bodies or patterned records of bodies, from which new bodies will again spring true to their patterned records.
So, in the above somewhat complex excerpt from Walter Russell, intellectual support – the explanation for how it is literally true – was provided for the assertion previously made by Omraam in more simple language: EVERYTHING IS IN THE SUN. Now, as I promised, we return to the excerpt from Omraam; he writes:
You may say that many astronomers and physicists already are studying the sun and, of course, that is so…. But when I reproach the scientific world for not giving enough attention to the sun, I mean that they have not yet really studied what the sun’s light is and, above all, how man can work with it and let it penetrate him to purify, strengthen and regenerate him. For, if the sun’s rays can penetrate even the depths of the oceans so that certain fish specially equipped to do so can capture their energy and give off light, why be surprised that they can also penetrate us? And if we knew how to receive the sun’s rays within us they would set in motion certain centres and light certain lamps that have been prepared within us from the beginning of time.
For me, as I have already said, the sun’s rays are like so many little wagons filled with food. And this food consists of elements and solar energy to which we can all help ourselves to our heart’s content if we want to grow and develop on the physical and psychic levels. Everything that man needs is contained in the light of the sun. What an immense field for scientific exploration!
This next paragraph from the Omraam excerpt is purrrfect for my book on Sun Yoga; for, he is about to describe his own version of Sun Yoga:
But now, I want to talk to you about a form of yoga that surpasses all others: the yoga of the sun. In the past this form of yoga was used by many peoples, but in our day, it has fallen into disuse, particularly in the West. The Sanskrit word for the sun is ‘Surya,’ [Day: there are several Sanskrit words for sun] which is why I call it Surya yoga and it is my favorite because it combines and sums up all the other forms of yoga.
Yes, why not combine all the different kinds of yoga in one? A disciple of the Universal White Brotherhood [Day: that was the name of Omraam’s spiritual organization; of course, the word ‘white’ refers to ‘white light’ not anything racist] cannot be narrow-minded or restrictive. He must grow in all the dimensions of his being. He should act… that is Karma yoga. He should seek God and love and adore Him: that is Bhakti yoga. He has to meditate and concentrate in order to achieve mastery of himself and authority over his population of cells: this is Raja yoga. When he is sitting in meditation or doing the movements of our gymnastics… he is practicing Hatha yoga. When he projects light and color, when he builds a luminous aura around himself, he is practicing Kriya yoga….
Above, we see that in the manner that we Nasareans use the term ‘Essene Yoga’ to be inclusive of all the other main varieties of yoga, Omraam does the same thing with the term Surya Yoga (Sun Yoga). He continues:
Finally, he [Day: the disciple of Sun Yoga] concentrates his love and attention on the sun, he looks for it in all circumstances and considers it as the open door to Heaven, the manifestation of Christ, God’s representative: that is Surya yoga. The disciple who practices Surya yoga rejects none of the other forms, quite the contrary, and as a result he becomes a whole being and lives in inner plenitude.
The portrait I have just drawn for you is a portrait of the coming new humanity. In the Universal White Brotherhood, men and women develop all the qualities and virtues. For Surya yoga includes them all: adoration, wisdom, power as well as purity, activity and dedication, light and the sacred fire of Divine love. Now you can see how important it is that you realize what great blessings you receive when you go to see the sun rise in the morning. By the practice of Surya yoga you establish a link between yourself and the power that governs and gives life to the whole Universe : the sun….
Up to now you have not learned to establish real contact with the sun. He is there, before your eyes, but you do not really relate to him…. But that is not the way to establish rapport with the sun. If you want to create a bond between you, you have to look at him in all consciousness. If you do that there will be a communication of vibrations between the sun and you in which forms and colors, a whole new world, will be born. And you will attract forces and intelligent beings who will come and dance and bathe in the beauty of the dialogue, the conversation taking place between you and the sun…
I want to share now some solar teachings from some other Sun Lovers that support what Omraam has said in the two above paragraphs. I am referring especially to Omraam’s assertion that the morning – and evening, as well – is a great time to commune with the sun, and, most significantly, that the successful Sun Yogi develops an actual CONSCIOUS RELATIONSHIP with the Sun. It is that relationship that enables the initiate to become aware of certain encoded information (Information Factors sometimes referred to by the acronym ‘I.F.’) that enters us, riding on the vibration waves of the sun, carrying messages that can be consciously translated only by advanced Sun Yogis. The first of the Sun Lovers that I will excerpt from in support of Omraam is a legendary Nasarean White Wizard: Pehri the Maggid.
In the New Testament days, Pehri the Maggid – also known as Pehri Etz Chaim – was the eldest, and highest ranking (not counting Yahshua and Miriam) Wizard of Green Wizards of The White Rose. The term Maggid, in the Nasarean tradition as described in the Megillah, means‘Teacher of Teachers’, and is the title of the head of the Nasarean School of Wizardry. The name Pehri means Fruit, and the term Etz Chaim means Tree of Life. The name Pehri Etz Chaim, as explained in a footnote in the Megillah, is an honorary title that means that Pehri is a great example of – a ‘fruit’ of – being in profound harmony with the roots and branches of the Essene Tree of Life. Pehri was one of the Traveling Companions of the Lord Christ and Lady Christ in New Testament times, and, as readers of The Holy Megillah learn, his relationship with them goes back even long before this world was born!
In one section of the Megillah, three questions are put to Pehri on the topic of solar teachings. Because they relate so well to our study of Omraam’s work, I provide all three questions – and responses – below. The context is a gathering of a Nasarean spiritual order called Green Wizards of The White Rose in which some students that were getting close to being ready for initiation into that order were invited to participate. That order is for the most advanced students of the Nasarean Religion of The Essene Way, those that are – or are being trained to become – the teachers of the religion. Those students that were being prepared for initiation into that order were members of the ‘preparatory order’ called The Order of Shemesh in Shemayah. Each of the following three questions were asked by members of that preparatory order. The first question was asked by Apollos who, like many other disciples of the Lord and Lady was already an advanced initiate of the Nasarean religion yet chose to start at the beginning of the new version of the Mystery School established by Yahshua and Miriam. Unlike the old Nasarean version of Essene Mountain of Peace Mystery School, the new version would be based on both the Nasarean ‘Old Testament’ and the unfolding ‘Nasarean New Testament’ that was to be called, The Holy Godspell. Here follows Apollos question and also Pehri’s reply:
372. “Please, Pehri, will you tell us something important about the practice of solar communion?”
373. Pehri replied, “Solar communion is a loving, reciprocal experience.
374. I love the sun so deeply that every day I desire its embrace.
375. When separated by clouds, I still can sense the sun and commune deeply.
376. The important thing to note is that I love the sun.
377. That is the key to profound solar communion.”
In those verses we learn what, according to Pehri, is THE KEY TO PROFOUND SOLAR COMMUNION: that the practitioner actually LOVE THE SUN! The fact that this love-relationship is reciprocal means that it goes both ways; we love the sun, AND THE SUN LOVES US! As Pehri describes doing in verse 375 above, I, as a longtime Sun Lover, can honestly say that I commune with the sun even on cloudy days; like Pehri, I can sense the presence of the sun behind the clouds. Also like Pehri, I love the sun and feel its love for me.
The second question to Pehri on solar practices was asked immediately after he answered the first question. We read:
378. The next question was asked by Ta’om to Pehri.
379. “Again, Pehri, will you please tell us another important thing about solar communion?”
380. Pehri replied, “I exchange information with the sun, similar to the way we talk to trees.”
To fully understand the reference in verse 380 to ‘the way we talk to trees’ – and thus how it applies also to the sun – it is important to know that, earlier in the same meeting of Green Wizards of The White Rose, a question was asked about talking to trees. That question was not directed to Pehri but to the entire group and prompted several responses; we read:
238. The next question was asked by Ya’arah.
239. Her name means Forest, and her question was about trees.
240. Ya’arah said: “I have a way of speaking with trees.
241. Most trees do not know our words; so, I place my hand on a tree and show it pictures within my mind.
242. If I want to say ‘I love trees’ to the tree, I bring into my mind pictures of me hugging trees.
243. But only when I accompany the pictures with strong feelings, do I feel that the tree truly ‘hears’ me.244. And when I listen to the tree, I open myself to receive the pictures that the tree sends to my mind.
245. For, lo: once the tree is aware of the way I communicate with it, it learns fast.
246. Some trees become so familiar with my mind that they learn to communicate in my language.
247. And I have learned some words of Tree Talk!
248. My question to the assembled Green Wizards is: Do you talk to trees in this manner?
249. Or am I odd due to having lived in the trees after my family was slain?”250. The Green Wizards affirmed that they also speak with trees, and by the same method.
251. One who made that affirmation was Mattath the Prophetess.
252. She added: “And in the same manner as with trees, I also speak with other creatures.
253. As with trees, that communication is with varying degrees of success, depending on the creature.
254. For the ability to communicate in this manner differs from one tree to the next, and from one creature to the next, and from one Green Wizard to the next.”255. The venerable Negohah ha Shekinah said, “I remember that I first spoke with a tree the first day I ate boiled ganjah!”
256. Everyone laughed good naturedly with Negohah. [Day: Negohah was the eldest female Wizardess amongst the Nasareans.]
In light of all the above, we can now better understand the reference Pehri made later in that meeting when, in verse 380, he said:
“I exchange information with the sun, similar to the way we talk to trees.”
Obviously, in the case of the Sun, rather than placing our hands on the trunk of a tree, we are feeling the solar rays on our skin.
Just as obviously, while not every tree is as capable at communicating with a human in this manner as some more spiritually evolved trees are, the Sun is extremely capable; the only limiting factor in this sort of communication between the Sun and the human is the degree of spiritual development of the human.
I can add from personal experience as a Sun Lover the following observation about this sort of communication with the Sun: The more spiritually developed we become, the more rapid is our exchange of information. We might start out using mental image pictures and human words, but it is possible – I know because I do it daily – to advance to what feels like almost instantaneous telepathic uploads and downloads of exchanged information with the sun.
Also from personal experience, I can attest to the fact that the method mentioned by Negohah – the eldest Wizardess – for enhanced communion with trees (eating Ganjah!), works well also for enhanced Solar Communion! (While I do recommend daily – or almost daily – Solar Communion, I do not recommend eating Ganjah daily; once or twice per week feels right to me, and never two days in a row. Any more often, and the effect is not as strong – due to building up a tolerance to the active ingredients of the herb – and it can overtax the body and deplete the immune system.) Before this Sun Yoga book concludes (its going to be presented in three sections due to length), I will share an example of a group Essene Solar Meditation session in the Megillah in which several – not all – of the participants implement the above-mentioned combination of Sun Communion with the eating of Ganjah. For now, though, recall that I said three questions were directed to Pehri on the topic of solar practices. The third question was asked by Levi:
382. “Maggid, will you tell us something surprising about solar communion?”
383. Pehri replied, “There is a different quality to the communion when I am situated in a place of great natural beauty.
384. There is a strong feeling of approval from the sun.
385. The sun is able to enjoy that beautiful nature scene through my eyes.
386. I found that surprising at first.”
The reason it seems a bit surprising – at first – that the sun enjoys experiencing beautiful nature scenes through our eyes is that, looking down upon Planet Earth from up above, the sun can see every nature scene. But the more we nurture our loving, reciprocal relationship with the sun, the more we come to appreciate that the sun actually enjoys experiencing what we enjoy, in much the same way that a human parent enjoys viewing the first steps and subsequent key experiences in the life of their child.
Our next excerpt from a Sun Lover in support of the information from Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov’s excerpt – which I offered in support of the material I had previously shared from the Megillah – is from one of the most significant advocates of ‘working with the sun’ of our modern era. In fact, this man – Gene Savoy (he has dropped his body) – is the first to coin the acronym ‘I.F.’ (for Information Factors) to refer to the solar information that comes into us from the sun. He used that term in a book from which I am about to share an extremely long excerpt (surprise!… or not! ☺). Megillah readers will recognize the acronym I.F. (Information Factors) because I adopted it in my translation of a two-word Hebrew term in that Bible. That Hebrew term can literally be translated as ‘Knowledge Ingredients’ but I chose to adopt the Savoy term ‘Information Factors’ for two reasons: 1) I liked the ‘mysterious’ element of the word spelled by the acronym ‘IF’; and, more importantly, the acronym of ‘Knowledge Ingredients’ is KI which could easily be confused with the oriental word for ‘Universal Life Force’ (Ki) which, while related to this idea of ‘solar encoded information’ is not exactly the same thing. I have noticed that some other authors have also adopted Savoy’s catchy acronym that first appeared in his 1977 book, Project X: The Search for the Secrets of Immortality. We read:
Today I felt like a growing thing—a plant—struggling towards the light, knowing that my life and being depended on its benevolent rays. I not only felt I could communicate with it – I experienced a response…. There can be no doubt that the sun picks up – and responds to – human thoughts…. The sun cannot simply be an incandescent ball of nuclear fire – it is a center of consciousness. Man is intimately related to the sun by a sensory makeup not recognized, as yet, by secular science.
I am going to share much more from this Savoy excerpt, but first want you to notice that in the first bit given above, Savoy, like Omraam and the Nasarean Wizard Pehri the Maggid, strongly asserts that the sun is a conscious entity with which we can enter into an actual communicative relationship. We continue the excerpt:
The sun will respond to those intelligences that are attuned to it (perhaps like a radio frequency). It also appears that the sun is sending out a special frequency that can be picked up by those sensitive to it…. I felt electrified…. Intercommunication with some greater intelligence via the sun is a reality that can be experienced by those disciplined in the art. Man has to cope with this special intelligence, the “X-force”. The question facing us now is whether X is in the visible electromagnetic spectrum or beyond it. I am curious as to how the eyes detect X and how solar energy IF (information factors) relate to the mental processes.
To my knowledge, though Savoy continued to use that acronym (IF) for many decades until his death – and others including me adopted the term – the above excerpt from his first book about the sun (Project X) was the first use of that term. Before that, Savoy referred to it (as he also did above) as the ‘X-force’. He wanted to know whether this solar information encoded in sunlight was a part of the electromagnetic spectrum or beyond it. The term ‘beyond it’ would imply an even faster vibratory frequency than the fastest portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. You will notice that Savoy – like Omraam, Pehri, and myself – has no doubt that the sun is communicating to those that enter an intentional relationship with it; the reason that there is no doubt is, as I can attest, once you enter into that communicative relationship – which is also a very loving relationship – it is beyond question very real, more real than the superficial conversation we have with mainstream society! Believe me, the sun is far wiser than any human I have met! We continue with the Savoy excerpt:
The absorption of cosmic/solar energy into the human nervous system and energy fields has a revitalizing quality. However, since energy is the carrier of certain intelligence factors, any absorption of energy must involve exposure of the organism to these factors…. It would appear that the sun serves as a bridge between the physical and non-physical universe on the macrocosmic level of the solar system, and that the body atoms link the physical and non-physical on the microcosmic level.
The human physical organism is a mass of pulsating energy, a radiant body of factors. Thus, when the human organism contacts an unlimited energy source, such as the sun, the potential for intelligence becomes considerably heightened. The force centers are to the psychic or electrical bodies what the nerve plexuses are to the physical body: channels of energy. The sun of our solar system serves as a catalyst or force center on the macrocosmic level through which energy IF from higher worlds pass to earth.
On the microcosmic level the atom is the link between quanta and cells. Here we see that the energy exchange occurs internally and externally, both on the cosmic and human levels of existence, and that suns and atomic particles are fundamentally the same thing, i.e. force centers for energy exchange between the physical and spiritual worlds (non-physical worlds).
Savoy is about to explain why it is important for Sun Yogis – though he does not use that term – to develop our capacity to intake and make the best use of the solar information factors available to all humans. Though these factors are available to all, not all are prepared to receive, process, transform, and utilize solar information to the same extent as an intentional solar initiate:
We have learned that energy is a carrier of information. IF potential can be perceived by a receiver just as a radio receives signals and transforms them into recognizable sounds. How much information is conveyed depends upon the listener. Whereas mind transforms physical properties into mental properties, consciousness does the same thing with ultra-energy IF: this is, IF is transformed into conscious events. It is by means of a developed consciousness that man is able to communicate with ultra-dimensional worlds….
The sun is the source of energy IF. There IF is transmitted and encoded. Consciousness then receives IF and decodes it…. As opposed to simply receiving information or responding to stimuli, as in a passive state, the transformed individual becomes a center of cosmic influence, that is, a living sun radiating energy IF to the world at large. The average person has no concept of the tremendous potential power of a transformed person who is identified with the cosmic whole and thus functioning as an ultra-dimensional being in two sets of dimensions at the same time…
Although we will shortly return to this Savoy excerpt, I want to share an excerpt from the Megillah that supports the notion that a human soul can potentially not only operate in a similar manner as a star, but can literally evolve so as to become a living sun. The following excerpt is from the funeral of Joseph, the father of Yahshua (‘Jesus’). The speaker is the Nasarean Prophetess Negohah, the eldest of all the Nasarean Wizardesses; she spoke the following words of prophecy about the future of Joseph.
The Prophecy of Negohah for Joseph
352. “Joseph, body slain, soul ascended, hear my words: Your line is the vine that has birthed the seventh-generation fruit that is Christ the Lord!
353. In worlds beneath ancient suns in cycles past, you have seeded the Christ.
354. Now a new adventure: you will become the Spirit of a Living Sun!
355. And all you need do is smile!
356. For your smile will be the shine that countless creatures in your orbit will call sunlight!”
Back to Savoy:
In going to the source of all energy, the sun, you have been able to project yourselves into the universe, thus participating in energy forms having their origins in galaxies or star clusters millions of light years away. Energy may require millions of years to span the great distances between other galaxies and our own solar system, but IF factors, being born of consciousness, are not limited to the speed of light…. By absorbing sunlight into your organisms, you not only have a greater incidence of energy, but greater amounts of time and information. In other words, the intake of solar energy speeds up the force fields, which alters the time continuum. As we know from our studies, greater IF is then made available.
Savoy then links the ability of great spiritual initiates to perform seeming ‘miracles’ to their advanced ability to intake solar information factors. He also makes clear that those ‘powers’ – in yoga the term is ‘siddhis’ – is never the goal of the practice, but is simply a byproduct of it:
Many associates wonder why masters of antiquity were able to defy the known laws of the universe by performing miracles, walking on water, foretelling the future, healing the ill, raising the dead, transmuting metals and the like. The fact is that they possessed extraordinary amounts of energy and linked themselves with the intelligence of the universe. That this brought them into a higher continuum and gave them a certain measure of control was not their principal objective: even Jesus and the Apostles limited their performances, because mastery over physical phenomena—PK or PSI—was not their goal. They were interested in higher consciousness and participating in ultra-dimensional existence, which always has been and still is the motivating force behind the power of matter.
Savoy returns to his analogy of the human being and stars, and then provides a deeper analysis of the human energy field, one of the topics touched upon by Omraam and of special interest to us:
The human organism, with its electrical or energy fields, gives off energy, like a star. There are billions of excited electrons in the organism, radiating energy in all directions. Electric fields envelop the organism as if generated by a rotating sphere similar to the galaxies, suns, and planets. This energy field may be compared to a magnetic field. It is not the result of motion in the chemical-atomic structure of the physical organism, nor is it a by-product of the chemical constituents, which indicates that the electrical nature of man is not secondary to the chemical. The electrical nature or higher light-energy nature sustains the physical organism, a hypothesis brought forward over four decades ago by Harold Saxton Burr and F.C. Northrop. Their experimental findings titled “Electro-Dynamic Theory of Life’, suggested that the electrical field is as universal in living systems as their chemical-atomic components.
The electrical or energy field is polarized into positive and negative poles, much the same as the magnetic fields of the sun and planets…. A negatively energized field disburses energy. A positive field conserves energy. Like the color spectrum, the field’s colors radiate from deeper blue to brilliant red, with the other colors in between. Any change of the organism, such as illness or other breakdown, is first registered in the electrical field before becoming apparent in the biological organism, which can be discerned by observing the color fields or color bodies. The predominant force centers affect the organism and the fields, which means that the electrical potential of an individual is interrelated with the biological potential: the electrical structure is interrelated with the chemical structure. Electrical potential is linked with the sun, the planets and all physical manifestations of energy, including cosmic energy.
I pause the excerpt to make note that, before this chapter concludes, we will consider in greater detail one topic just introduced by Savoy: that of the various colors linked with the human organism; in that later section of this chapter, we will consider how various colors are linked with the human chakra field. This is not the moment for that discussion, but I wanted to let you know that it will not be neglected. For now, back to Savoy; we pick up right where we left off. I am going to let this next portion flow for quite a few paragraphs before we again pause. The reason is that you are about to receive some of the most profound words ever written by anyone on this subject matter. Pay attention, read carefully, and enjoy! ☺
In addition to the electrical fields, there is a higher, primary force field. It is colorless but charged with non-physical energy. It is observed as a sphere surrounding the physical organism and the force fields. This ‘light-body’ is linked with ultra-dimensional levels and operates with higher energy levels—although not physical, they are interwoven with it. While there are three basic levels of a person’s being, it is essential that he be viewed as a whole, with all parts interrelated and forming the unified person.
Assuming that the physical organism and the energy fields are outgrowths of a higher primary body, the light-body or cosmic body, we are forced to accept ultra-dimensional levels of existence going beyond the restricted three-dimensional world of the material universe. This means man is ultra-dimensional, that he exists on different levels of being, each governed by the laws of that particular dimension. Our studies have already shown that man is a descendant of higher life forms, of light beings….
Man is thus a complex, existing continuously in space in the whole of cosmic generation, and consequently, persisting in time. He is an immortal being, universally present in all dimensions according to their process and region and stage of development. While it appears that he exists only in the present time of the third dimension, he is actually linked with the whole of generated existence at all points of generation and degeneration from the lowest to the highest, from the most remote regions of space with its sparse clumps of inanimate matter, to the very Godhead itself, the source of all things. Evolving through dimensional existence in cycles of expansion and contraction, man… is under the influence of cosmic intelligence factors….
It is the same light-body of Jesus, the golden body of Buddha and the sun body of the Viracocha of the Americas. This body is immortal and once a state of cosmic consciousness is achieved, one becomes aware of this divine, unearthly origin. Knowledge of this immortal, ultra-dimensional consciousness body turns man’s attention away from the limitations of third-dimensional life to a higher life.
We can see, then, that man is a pre-existing being, rooted in a world beyond the material universe. The greater part of man exists in other dimensions, beyond the space-time of the physical universe. The light-body, unlike the physical organism and energy fields, is not at a fixed or focused point in the universe. While it appears as a light-body to the trained eye, it cannot be classified as to size or restricted to any one point in the material universe. Its appearance as a light-body is only a manifestation of energy arising from another dimension.
Like the sun, a focal point of energy coming from beyond the material universe, the light-body is the gateway to other worlds of force which are still a mystery. The sun is viewed as a brilliant ball of light by the eyes. Were it not for these organs, the sun would have an entirely different appearance. These organs cannot reach beyond the focal point observed, since they are products of the very point of energy. The mind cannot penetrate to the sources of the material universe, since it is a product of the material-energy forms of the material universe. It is only by means of consciousness that we are able to perceive the light-body existing in a higher fifth dimension, and this dimension has access to all points of generated life….
We have established the existence of a visible light, the sun, and of an invisible light, a non-physical light, which originates beyond the physical sun, yet is manifested through it. While it appears to be a paradox that physical energy is the stepping stone to spiritual energy and thence to consciousness, it is so. We can better understand this when we realize that man is not simply a physical being, that he has his origins in a higher, invisible world of energy forces charged with spiritual IF consciousness… It is, as we have pointed out, part of a higher world beyond the material universe.
Access to cosmic knowledge or information outside the realm of earthly knowledge is realized by interstellar communication with the sun, the source of all life on our planet….
My theory was that through the medium of sunlight, and through the human mind, a total knowledge of the universe could be realized. Perhaps God would speak to man… through the light of the sun. Man had only to understand the language of light in order to fathom the mysteries of creation and taste immortal life.
Several paragraphs up, Savoy wrote: ‘Like the sun, a focal point of energy coming from beyond the material universe, the light-body is the gateway to other worlds of force which are still a mystery. The sun is viewed as a brilliant ball of light by the eyes. Were it not for these organs, the sun would have an entirely different appearance.’ I am now going to show you how that is true. It is not possible to show that to you in all of its great depth and extensions into various dimensions, but it is possible to show you that the basic ‘real’ shape of the sun and its family of planets, like the galaxy itself and like… well, like EVERYTHING else, is that of a spiral. In a previous article I wrote on Essene Yoga, I shared the following excerpt and illustrations, but I choose to share them once again.
The following excerpt well illustrates how, taken as a whole, our own Solar System is one Living Spiral made-up of sub-spirals that, together, are dancing a larger spiral together around a point within the Milky Way. In his excellent book, Rhythms of Vision, an esoteric classic from 1975, Lawrence Blair writes:
Cosmologies’ are the most abstract as well as the most fundamental of a civilization’s views of itself. Deriving from the Greek word kosmos, meaning ‘order’, a cosmology refers to a single, holistic system in which the totality of our experiences may be encompassed….
Despite the dis-order which exists among today’s conflicting cosmologies, an essential unified pattern is emerging, for instance in contemporary physics’ recognition that matter consists simply in its own movement and organization….
Mind, too: the process of thought (whether viewed from the outside in, by neurosurgeons, or from the inside out, by psychologists) consists, no less simply, in its own movement and organization.
The realization that both matter and thought ultimately interweave in the same enigmatic matrix of rhythms of movement indicates a fundamental change in our view of ‘reality’. This reality consists simply in the vibrationary [Day: vibrational] rhythms of movement, from the most rational and distant discoveries of the giant radio-telescopes to… the human heart….
To become aware of this universe involves seeing as ‘real’ what to date has culturally been considered invisible. Just as the microscope revealed a real and immediate world which had until then been out of sight and mind, the lens of the electromagnetic spectrum reveals an additional and no less immediate vision. It is this invisible world, and magnetic fields, which is now more real to astro and geo-physicists than the visible one….
The sun which we see in the sky, for instance, is but the kernel, the only visible part of a much larger sun which envelops the very limits of the solar system with its radiative body. The earth is within the sun, plunged in the solar wind, spiraling with its sister planets like organs within the same solar body. I can touch the sun with my face, even in the dark….
Our own bodies, too, are each but the visible kernel of a broader, invisible self which extends around us, and with which we can feel another’s body. The blending of subtle bodies activates an ever-changing chemistry; to sit within four feet of someone over ten minutes is already to exchange water vapor with them, for we are as much a part of each other as are the planets in the system of the sun….
The sun, like the earth, is a mysterious living being. It is culturally assumed that we know roughly what its physical kernel is, but this is far from being the case, and erudite theories are still flying into its enigma, like space-probes, and being consumed….
Despite being ‘liquid’, the sun obeys its own form of hydrodynamics, its equator mysteriously revolving more slowly round its axis than its higher and lower latitudes. It is a seething giant of magnetism, and it periodically exhibits blemishes, or sunspots, some of which could swallow 1000 earths. These spots, which are noted by the Chinese astronomers of antiquity, have a regular average cycle of 11.1 years, and they appear mainly in pairs, one in the northern and one in the southern hemisphere, each oppositely magnetized, as if they were the ends of a vast horse shoe magnet embedded in the sun. With each 11.1 year sunspot cycle, alternating like the yin and yang of Taoism, the polarities of the spots in the northern and southern hemispheres are reversed, spraying billions of differently charged particles throughout the solar system.
Because it will be a major ongoing theme in this article, I will later comment on one of the topics Blair brought up above: the Yin and Yang aspect of solar teachings that Nasareans refer to as Shemayah (Yin) and Shemesh (Yang). But for now, we will continue to follow the topic at hand: the spiral nature of the solar system as expressed in Blair’s illustrations.
Blair provides the following illustration of the above description of the Sun and the rest of the Solar System that he asserts forms One Living Spiral consisting of many living spirals, each of those smaller spirals being an individual part of the larger body of the whole thing. I have included his explanatory caption which, in his book, was labeled ‘3’; please read that caption or you won’t quite understand what is being portrayed.

FIGURE 3 From a space/time perspective, a ‘head on’ view of the solar body, containing its spiralling planetary organs. From a purely ‘space’ perspective, of course, the planets orbit the sun in ellipses, but when the dimension of ‘time’ is also considered then – in 2-dimensions – they can be seen as spiralling.

FIGURE 6 The ‘long body of the solar system’ seen in an 80-year macro-moment’ of perception. The 30,000 million mile-long gossamer seed of energy is spiralling into the void between the constellations of Lyra and Hercules. (After Rodney Coin, The Theory of Celestial Influences)
This emerging, ‘new’ cosmology – which harmonizes very well with the ancient Nasarean cosmology – is further linked with the spiral by Blair; he writes:
If I drop an onion, its path traced from my hand to the floor looks like a straight line, but since the earth’s surface is moving on its axis at the rate of 1000 mph at the equator, in space the onion’s trajectory is really a diagonal, or rather, since the points on the earth’s surface are moving round its axis, a curved diagonal. But the earth arcs round the sun at 66,000 mph in a different plane to the curved diagonal, so the onion’s fall is really a spiral….
If we turn instead to the solar system, the sun, at the edge of the Milky Way galaxy, is itself travelling—in order to keep up with it – at 481,000 mph, and the Milky Way in turn circles around a supercluster of galaxies at the rate of 1,350,000 mph. Thus, our tiny solar system, like the onion, is really spiraling behind the sun; the whole organism, like an incandescent sperm-cell… is screwdriving through space/time with the planetary orbs in its twisting, golden tail.
In his illustration, you see what Blair means when he writes that the rest of our solar system is actually spiraling behind the sun, forming what does indeed look like a cosmic-sperm cell. This (above), my friends, is actually what our sun is doing – moving in a spiral dance with its whole ‘solar system’ (including the planets, the moon, and you) following in like manner. I included his explanatory caption which he labeled ‘6’; read it.
Blair continues:
Spirals are more than the timeless symbols of eternity or even the spiral hierarchies of thought which awed the ancient philosophers and such poets as Blake or Yeats. Spirals are the actual ‘shape’ of the fluid energy evolving order from chaos, and are found even in the anatomy of our own biological inheritance – the spiraling nucleic acids in the DNA molecule.
Even the two-dimensional spiral reflects its connections with the higher dimensions of growth. It both begins and ends in infinity; it is a continuum which mirrors the harmonic ebb and flow between the polarities of positive (+) and negative (-), as well as between the polarities of infinite contraction, at the Centre [Day: ‘centre’ is the old English spelling of center], and infinite expansion, at the periphery.
In a three-dimensional spiral – the spherical vortex – the opposing infinities dissolve into one another.
More than a symbol, this three-dimensional spiral is the form of the Van Allen belts which hover over the poles of our planet. With its simpler spiral sisters, it is the form of order which exists on the very brink of non-existence….
The spiral’s symbolic depth connects us to the sustenance of our invisible source as surely as, in the biological dimension, we were once connected to our mothers by the spiraling umbilical cord: for the spiral is a living thread which can lead us to different dimensions of vision and energy.
I hope that you love the excerpts from various Sun Lovers that I have thus far provided; these excerpts are the best esoteric information on the sun that I have come across in my many decades of research on the solar mysteries. And, if you are a Sun Lover yourself, you will be glad – perhaps even excited ☺ – to know that I have many more ‘illuminating’ excerpts to share from the esoteric solar-scholars whose books have been living on my wizardly bookshelves for decades waiting patiently for me to share them with you! But first, I hereby announce that the purrrfect time has arrived to begin to share with you the ‘Sun Yoga Teachings’ of Yahshua.
What better way to begin to examine the Sun Yoga teachings of Yahshua than to share his words on that topic from his Sermon on Essene Yoga? While this discourse is not his only important set of teachings on the topic of Sun Yoga, it is his most extensive discourse on the topic and is a great entry point to his additional words and experiential practices related to Sun Yoga. Over the course of this book, we will not only look at his other remarks related to Sun Yoga, but will similarly study the solar teachings of the Magdalene, as well as those of other Essene teachers.I now begin to provide Yahshua’s remarks on Sun Yoga from chapter sixty-one of The Megillah, a chapter titled, Sermon on Essene Yoga:
541. “Yihud im Shemesh [Union with Sun] is called Sun Yoga.
542. The various practices related to Essene Sun Yoga are all performed within the context of Nasarean Cosmology, a cosmology that thinks very highly of the Sun.
543. According to Nasarean Cosmology, the Sun is the visible representation of Supernal Light – the Light of YHWH – and is the home of The Seventh Heaven of this chain of worlds.
544. The Megillah reveals that The Seventh Heaven within the Sun has within it a Crown Chakra that is the Highest Crown Chakra of this chain of worlds.
545. A ‘chain of worlds’ are those worlds linked by the fact that they share a Sun as their common point of origin and their common point of eventual return, as well as sharing it as their common Central Lighthouse, their chief source of Living Light, the Fire of Life, Shemesh.546. “I tell you truly, within the Sun, indeed, is the Highest Crown Chakra of this chain of worlds, and that Crown serves also as the doorway out of this chain of worlds into the next highest chain of the ascending spiral and beyond, just as your own Crown Chakra also serves as the doorway out of your body.
547. But also know this: Just as you have a Crown Chakra but also have other chakras, so it is with the Sun.
548. The Sun has an outer body, intermediate bodies, and a Spiritual Body as does man, and, like man, all of those bodies are interpenetrated by the Seven Major Chakras of Essene Yoga and also countless other chakras that we call ‘Additional Chakras’.
549. Thus the Sun itself has its own Seven Major Chakras and countless ‘Additional Chakras’, a chakra, really, simply being a spiral; big spirals get named and noticed, but there are countless small and subtle spirals as well.”
I will pause the excerpt of Yahshua’s remarks on Sun Yoga (we will later look at the rest of it) to address what verse 548 above referred to as “the Seven Major Chakras of Essene Yoga and also countless other chakras that we call ‘Additional Chakras’.” I will first point out what is meant by ‘Additional Chakras’ and then offer a list of the Seven Major Chakras of Essene Yoga. I will then provide several chakra-related excerpts.
To understand Yahshua’s reference to ‘additional chakras’, you need to know what is meant by the word ‘chakra’. Although the word itself means ‘wheel’, a study of yoga texts makes clear that we are not talking about a stationary wheel but a ‘spinning wheel’ that is actually a spiral vortex similar to the Milky Way Galaxy and our Solar System – and everything else! As Yahshua said, a ‘chakra’ is really a ‘spiral’. If you wonder why we then would name these particular seven spirals ‘chakras’, Yahshua has the answer in verse 549: “big spirals get named and noticed, but there are countless small and subtle spirals as well.”
So, in your own body, those ‘Seven Chief Chakras’ are large enough spirals that they are very noticeable and so we name them. Interestingly, the chakras are associated with nerve complexes and organs, making them comparable to the sort of centers of electrical transmission associated with the energy grid operated by utility companies. Besides those main regional energy centers and their significant sub-centers, there are many other electrical lines and other electrical apparatus running between those ‘gathering points’, carrying their energy to all the extremities of the electrical system. Likewise with the chakras of the human body: seven especially significant centers – comparatively large energy gathering and distribution centers – get named by spiritual practitioners including yogis but there is a larger network of such spiral energy centers at play.
In regard to the above information, I will also point out that not every spiritual tradition or holistic healer or individual yogi agrees on the exact location of the seven chakras – but most do agree – and there are some traditions that come up with a different ‘total’ number, such as six. Most of the traditions that come up with a total of six are oriented toward celibacy and thus leave out the sexual chakra; they don’t want their monks to place their attention on that chakra. Some of those groups actually go so far as to deny that the sexual center is a chakra at all; others admit it exists but do not picture it in their diagrams or talk about it, fearing that doing so might inflame the passions of the celibate monks. Personally, I feel that they would be better off accepting, and working wisely with, their sexual energy, rather than denying it exists and thereby creating blockages that lead to unbalanced behavior.
When people do not actually understand that the true number of chakras is unlimited and that our own body has many more than the ‘Seven Major Ones’, you run into groups that make a big deal about their actually being some other specific number, like eight or nine or twelve. Nothing wrong with that except that these persons typically believe that they have found the ‘true total number’ and that other traditions are therefore ‘wrong’. Actually, it would not be possible for you to count how many tiny chakras are within you, and all any of the traditions can do is to provide a list of key chakras and recommended practices that they feel are helpful in dealing with the energies of those chakras in a positive manner. Nevertheless, most spiritual traditions do agree with the placement in the human body of the Seven Major Chakras of Essene Yoga given in the following excerpt from The Holy Megillah.
Since this excerpt is from the ‘Old Testament’ portion of the Megillah, which was written long before Yahshua and other Nasareans traveled in India and began using some Sanskrit terms like ‘chakra’, the Nasarean Hebrew terms for chakras are used: 1) Ophan ha Galgal, which means Whirling Circle; and, 2) Sefirah (plural form: Sefirot), which means Energy Channel. Because number two – Sefirah – is shorter, it is the most commonly used term in Nasarean Hebrew for ‘chakra’. We read in the Nasarean Book of Genesis:
162. “There are seven Sefirot.
163. Each Sefirah is located in a certain area of the spine of the tree.
164. The spine is within the trunk of the tree, and the trunk is called Arown haOtzar, the Treasure Box, for it is The Ark of the Covenant.
165. For, when Jah-Jah created the Mother Ovum, Jah-Jah remained in Heaven Most High; but Jah-Jah made a covenant with you, promising not to abandon you, and to remain connected to all within the Mother Ovum through the Center Branch.
166. And the Center Branch is the Nahar Neharah, the River of Light.
167. And the Nahar Neharah flows down the spine of the Tree of Life.
168. And within the Treasure Box, which is the Ark of the Covenant, are the Seven Sefirot….204. “Yea, the Seven Sefirot upon the spine of the Tree of Life are found upon you; for the Tree is within you and all around you.
205. Yea, you are the Sefer Chaim, the Book of Life, and only when you read your Self, will you know the truth.
206. And the truth will set you free….208. “Yea, each place whereat a branch and root meet upon the spine of the tree forms a Sefirah.
209. And the seven Sefirot may also be found upon you, for the tree is within you and all around you.
210. Behold the Seven Sefirot within you: The Seventh Sefirah is formed by the Center Branch and the Center Root and is found at the top of your head.
211. The Sixth Sefirah is formed by the Branch of Wisdom and the Root of Air and is found at your forehead.
212. The Fifth Sefirah is formed by the Branch of Work and the Root of Life and is found at your throat.
213. The Fourth Sefirah is formed by the Branch of Love and the Root of Water and is found at your chest.
214. The Third Sefirah is formed by the Branch of Peace and the Root of Joy and is found at your stomach.
215. The Second Sefirah is formed by the Branch of Eternal Life and the Root of Soil and is found at your genitals.
216. The First Sefirah is formed by the Branch of Power and the Root of Sun and is found at the base of the spine.
Below is an illustration of the typical placement of The Seven Chakras.

In another chapter in this book, I will spend more time describing the entire chakra system. Since every single Branch Yoga (Seven) and every single Root Yoga (Seven) are linked to the human chakra system, it would not make sense for me to describe the entire chakra system every time I describe one of the Fourteen Primary Yoga Practices of Essene Yoga. But in this chapter, it does make sense to provide you with a bit of information on that particular chakra which, as we saw above, is linked to the pairing of the Branch of Power with the Root of Sun.
That pairing – the Branch of Power with the Root of Sun – results in the chakra that is found at the base of the spine. That chakra is typically referred to by the following equally valid three terms: 1) ‘The Base Chakra’; 2) ‘The Root Chakra’; 3) ‘The First Chakra’. It is associated with raw power, with powerful energy, an energy that in Sanskrit yoga literature is typically referred to as kundalini. As we make progress in yoga – and in the overall process of spiritual evolution – we learn to utilize that raw power in the merciful kindness that is associated with the ‘Heart Chakra’ (the Fourth Chakra) and in the Unity Consciousness (‘We Are One in the All’) associated with the Crown Chakra (Seventh Chakra at the Crown of the head), rather than selfish, egotistical ways.
In the very positive and helpful book, A Handbook of Chakra Healing, Kalashatra Govinda describes the first or “root” chakra as follows:
The root chakra lies in the area of the coccyx between the anus and the perineum. It corresponds to the base of the spinal column. It supplies the pelvic regions (pelvic girdle) and the large and small intestines with energy. It also governs the skeleton, which gives us stability, and the legs and feet, which bind us to the earth….
For this reason, the root chakra is considered the source of our life energy. Kundalini energy, the power of creativity, resides in the root chakra. When the kundalini is awakened, it animates all of the other chakras in turn….
The strength for living and the feeling of trust and security are the central themes of the root chakra. It represents the will to live and the sense of self-preservation…. When energy flows freely through this chakra, it is easy to be secure in your existence in the world. You are steady on your feet and not easily thrown by circumstances around you.
With a strong foundation, you feel secure and protected. A sense of rootedness is the best starting point for a successful life. It is not surprising that Ganesh, a Hindu deity in the form of an elephant, is a symbol for the root chakra. Ganesh is the god of prosperity, abundance, and satisfaction….
Blockages in the first chakra account for ruptures in one’s harmonious relationship with Mother Earth.
Essenes focus on the positive purpose of each chakra. There is absolutely nothing evil about power, energy, natural resources, abundance, safety, and security.
There is the potential – even the likelihood – that raw power will be misused by those who are in fear consciousness or are simply relatively ignorant of spiritual reality. Those who become enlightened know that, literally, we are all in this together: your safety and abundance is important to the well-being of the whole, and I am part of the whole. Thus, I want well-being for you, and you want it for me, when we have become enlightened. And that is exactly why we work with the energies of the chakras: to become enlightened and then to share that enlightenment with others.
Each chakra is especially associated with a particular color and, in both the Megillah and in Hindu Yoga – and also in most other esoteric spiritual traditions – the First Chakra (Root Chakra/Base Chakra) is especially associated with RED. The Hindus symbolize this First Chakra as four red flower petals. In one of my favorite books on natural magic – Cassandra Eason’s Complete Book of Natural Magick – we read of this historic link of the First Chakra with red; she writes:
Red… linked with the root or base chakra…. The root chakra is associated with our survival instincts…. It draws energy….
She also writes in the same book:
Use red in spells for action, courage, assertiveness, power, determination, stamina, and strength… for the impetus for positive change… standing out against injustice and protecting the vulnerable and loved ones under threat; for survival and for overcoming seemingly impossible odds.
In The Holy Megillah, red is associated with the root chakra, and the colors of the entire chakra system correspond with the colors of the light spectrum that are revealed in a rainbow. In the Nasarean Book of Enoch section of The Holy Megillah, Enoch reports on a mystical experience in which he actually left his body and ascended into the heavens. I will first share the portion that especially deals with the First Chakra and the color red, and will then share an excerpt about the ‘Rainbow’ and ‘The Rainbow Bridge’. Enoch reports:
12. Yea, I walked to the center of the orchard, which is the center of the Garden of Eden, and I stood before the Circle of Seven Trees.
13. Behold: at the entrance to the circle is a gate with low arch.
14. To enter this archway one must bend low.
15. Yea, the crown of the head must bow before the arch; for, lo: only in humility may one enter this circle.
16. And upon the arch is written a Name: YHWH.
17. And the archway is the beginning of a pathway.
18. And the pathway has a name: The Nasarean Path of the Essene Way.
19. Bending low, I entered the Circle of Seven Trees.20. Behold the Seven Trees: one Tree for each Sefirah [Day: remember that in Nasarean Hebrew Sefirah is a word for chakra].
21. And in front of each tree is a large Prayer Stone, large enough to kneel upon.
22. And upon each Prayer Stone is a jewel.
23. And, lo: each jewel is of a different Sacred Color.
24. Behold the colors of the jewels: The First Prayer Stone is for the First Sefirah, and its jewel is a Red Peninim, which is a Red Ruby….31. Behold, I knelt upon the First Prayer Stone, the stone with the Red Ruby.
32. Then I chanted the Sound of Ecstasy for the mating of Power with Sun.
33. Lo: this is not the mating of the cherubim of Power and Sun, but the mating of the actual forces of Power and Sun.
34. For the Cherubim of the Tree of Life are not the forces they serve, but are the Guardians of those forces.
35. Yea, I chanted the Sound of Ecstasy for the mating of Power and Sun, and behold, the Seal at the base of my spine was opened.
36. And I beheld a Treasure beneath the Seal, the fruit of the mating of Power and Sun.37. Then, lo: From atop the first tree, the tree before which I knelt on the First Prayer Stone, came the Dove of Jah-Jah, and She landed on my head.
38. And in Her beak was a piece of fruit.
39. And standing beside the First Prayer Stone was the Lamb, and He spoke, saying: “Taste the fruit the Dove brings you; for, you are worthy, having opened the First Seal.”
40. I took the fruit, which was a juicy seed of a Red Pomegranate, and its taste was sweet.
We skip some verses in which, one by one, Enoch visits each of the seven prayer stones – each of which is associated with the color of the rainbow that is typically linked with that chakra, and each time is fed a bit of fruit the color of which also corresponds with each particular chakra – and will now transition to the Rainbow Bridge portion of the excerpt from the Nasarean Book of Enoch.
After Enoch moved from one gem-clad prayer stone to the next of the seven such stones, each of the seven prayer stones being linked with one of the seven chakras and the color of that chakra always being the same as both the fruit and gem associated with each prayer stone, having completed the seventh – the seventh being associated with the Crown Chakra that Nasareans associate with Translucent Light that, for lack of a better term, gets called ‘White Light’ (which is why the seventh fruit given Enoch was a ‘white grape’) – Enoch had a sort of mystical experience in which he is asked a series of questions. The questions – and the experience itself – are presented in the manner that we should associate with the passing of a significant spiritual level of initiation by Enoch. The questions he is asked are those asked to beings that are taking the Vow of the Christ Family, very similar to the vow of the Bodhisattava in Buddhism. Pay close attention to the sort of questions Enoch is asked in the subsequent verses, and remember that they are coming from a mystical drumbeat that Enoch identifies as the Heartbeat of the Lord Christ and the Lady Christ, and it is revealed that it is this drumbeat/heartbeat that is asking the questions. We read:
91. And I listened to the drumbeat, for I knew it was the Heartbeat of the Lord and Lady.
92. And lo: As I listened to the drumbeat, it asked me a question: “Who will go?”
93. And I perceived the meaning of the question, for all of my seals had been opened.94. The question meant: “Who will be the Hands and Feet of the Lord and Lady?”
95. It meant: “Who will raise up the children of the fall?”
96. It meant: “Who will help?”
97. Yea, it meant: “Who, having attained the right to live in a heavenly realm where there is neither violence nor discord, will give up that right in order to serve in a fallen world?”
98. I answered, “I will serve.”
Verse 97 indicates that Enoch had attained the high level of a soul that has attained the right – karmically attained the right – via good thoughts, words, and deeds over a long duration, to live in a heavenly realm that is transcendent to the realm that they have been residing in, which, in the case of Enoch, means he deserved to live in a higher world than Planet Earth. But, like all good Bodhisattvas ☺ (this is the very definition of the vow of the Boshisattva), Enoch freely chose to return to Earth and serve as a Merciful Hand of Christ. We continue:
99. Then the Dove flew above my head and the Lamb said, “Follow Her.”
A quick note here to remind the reader that the ‘Dove’ – the symbol of the Holy Spirit – is the Lady Christ Jahnah, the name Jahnah meaning ‘Dove of Jah’, and the ‘Lamb’ is the Lord Christ. The last two words of verse 99 are important; the only way for Enoch to follow the Dove is to leave his physical body on that seventh prayer stone and follow the Holy Spirit Jahnah on a spiritual journey which, before it is over, will include visiting all the seven heavens associated with this solar system, the seventh of which is in a spiritual dimension within our sun. It really is a great journey to make; I know, because I have made that same journey! ☺ Back to the Nasarean Book of Enoch section of The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of The Essene Way; the speaker is Enoch who, at this time, was a young man but likely an old soul:
100. I said to the Lamb, “I cannot fly!
101. How can I follow Her?”
102. The Lamb replied: “Leave your dense body here, in the Garden
103. Follow the Dove into the Heavens; for behold: She shall show you a vision of things to come.
104. Yea, She will show you things that have been, things that will be, and things that might be.
105. Lo: You cannot change what has been, neither can you change what will be.
106. But you may indeed change for the better that which might be.107. “And I tell you truly, Holy Enoch, you can fly!
108. For, the Crown at the top of your head is also a Doorway.
109. Yea, it is the Doorway into your dense body, and also the Doorway out.
110. Open the Door and fly up to greet the Dove!”
The reference in verse 108 to ‘the Crown at the top of your head’ is, of course, a reference to the Crown Chakra, the Seventh Chakra that is the seat of the Soul. Because we are currently interested in the topic of ‘rainbows’ as related to this book on Sun Yoga and the related concepts of light, the colors of the light spectrum and the relationship of those colors to those associated with the seven chakras that are clearly linked to the colors of the rainbow, let us take note that the very next section of the Nasarean Book of Enoch after the last verse (110) above, is Chapter Two of Enoch and is titled: The Rainbow Bridge. The speaker in verse one is Enoch.
Chapter 2: The Rainbow Bridge
1. Then, behold: at the top of my head was a whirlwind, yea, and a sound like rushing water.
2. And the whirlwind became a spiral ladder of golden light.
3. And I heard the voice of a woman calling me, saying, “Enoch, come to me!”
4. I followed the voice, which was enchanting and kind, and lo: I was suddenly above my head, in a spiritual body of supernal light, looking upon my dense body of bone and flesh.
5. With spiritual eyes, I looked up and beheld the Dove.
6. Between Her and I was a rainbow of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
Quick note in regard to those listed rainbow colors: Ancient cultures, including the early Nasareans, did not differentiate between blue and indigo, considering indigo to simply be dark blue. Likewise, they did not differentiate between violet and purple. Back to the account:
7. Yea, the rainbow was like a bridge, and when I moved toward it, behold: the six bands of color of the rainbow merged with my body of light.
8. Lo: The first band of the rainbow was red, and it merged with my body at the place of the first sefirah.
9. The second band of the rainbow was orange, and it merged with my body at the place of the second sefirah.
10. The third band of the rainbow was yellow, and it merged with my body at the place of the third sefirah.
11. The fourth band of the rainbow was green, and it merged with my body at the place of the fourth sefirah.
12. The fifth band of the rainbow was blue, and it merged with my body at the place of the fifth sefirah.
13. The sixth band of the rainbow was violet, and it merged with my body at the place of the sixth sefirah.
14. Then, behold: All six colors rose up my spine and entered the area of the seventh sefirah.
15. There, the colors danced, and mated, and merged into one color, which was like pure white light, translucent as a clear crystal.
16. Then all the colors danced together in each sefirah, with the dominant color of each sefirah leading the dance.
17. And lo: The dominant color of each sefirah wore the seventh as a crown.
Since the way that Enoch ‘triggered’ this out-of-body experience was linked to his having opened the ‘Seven Seals’ associated with the ‘Seven Chakras’ associated with the seven prayer stones, we are clearly being told that THE RAINBOW BRIDGE WAY TO TRAVEL WITHOUT YOUR BODY IS AVAILABLE TO ANY YOGI THAT IS ABLE TO DO WHAT ENOCH DID! You can potentially have this sort of experience. I did.
We continue:
18. Behold: I desired within myself to be at the other end of the Rainbow Bridge, with the Dove, and lo, I was instantly there!
19. I looked back to where I had just been, and saw that the Rainbow Bridge descends from the sun and reaches to each Being on Earth.
20. Yea, the Rainbow Bridge is a portion of the Nahar Neharah, the River of Light, and connects the Center of each Being with the Center of All.
21. Behold: the Rainbow Bridge is not like an ordinary rainbow, for it can show the seer a thousand colors, or seven colors, or none at all, or any number between, according to the will of Elohim.
22. And it is according to the mixtures of the colors of light in each sefirah, that the various creatures are created; for, first is created a template of light and then comes the physical body.
23. And each color that we see, is parent, brother, and sister, of a thousand colors we see not.
24. And within each color are many colors, for such is the mystery of light.
As previously stated, in the Nasarean Book of Enoch section of the Megillah, the seven prayer stones on which Enoch kneeled, as well as the seven fruits fed to Enoch by the Dove, are listed in the exact same order as the colors assigned to the seven chakras in the Megillah. For example, the first prayer stone, the first fruit, the first chakra – all are assigned the color red. Keeping in mind that the ancients did not typically differentiate purple from amethyst or violet, or blue from indigo, etc. – in other words, most ancients just had one name for all the various shades of a basic color – the series of colors used by the Essenes correlates with the colors of the rainbow and what modern science calls The Spectrum. Since that is certainly significant and worthy of our interest, we will examine the spectrum of light and the significance of color, with an eye toward how that relates to the colors of the chakras in general and, especially, the color of red and its assignment to the root chakra, since that chakra is particularly linked by the Essenes to Sun in the sense of raw power. We will always keep in mind that the Megillah also informs us that the Sun has its own complete set of chakras. As we study more closely information on the colors of the light spectrum, we often find references to the rainbow and its esoteric relationship to the spiritual aspect of the sun, as well as to the physical aspects of the solar light spectrum. In fact, in the excerpt that will next be provided, historic information on other ancient people who used the term ‘The Rainbow Bridge’ is given, along with some of the best information on light and related topics that you will ever read. That first of several excerpts on the topic at hand – light, color, rainbows, chakras, kundalini – and their relationship to the sun – is, with no exaggeration, one of the highest-level spiritual excerpts on ‘light’ that you, dear reader, will ever set eyes on! Of that, I am certain! That excerpt is so enlightening, in fact, that it deserves a bit of introduction!
The book that I am about to excerpt from is titled, Nuclear Evolution: Discovery of the Rainbow Body. The following excerpt is one of the highest-level spiritual articulations ever articulated by a human being! I point that out because, once again – even by my own generous standard ☺ – this will be a very long excerpt. Last time I checked, this book was long out of print and, even when released in 1977, a relatively few human beings were aware of it. Amongst the most advanced spiritual hippies of the era – including me and my best friends at the time ☺ – the book was considered one of the best ever written; we still consider it a classic. But it is a classic that you likely would have never come across, and so it truly excites me to share a long excerpt from it with you! I have been close friends for decades with several of the direct students of Christopher Hills, including one that was involved with the creation of many of the excellent illustrations that help explain Hills’ ideas. That friend studied with Christopher Hills at the very-hippy-oriented (brilliant hippies; some with PhD’s from mainstream universities) teaching center he founded in California called, University of the Trees. It was, in fact, a sort of hippy-healers academy! Although Hills has long since dropped his body and his ‘University’ is no longer in operation, his cutting-edge ideas are still, well, cutting-edge! Not only is the following excerpt not outdated, it is light years ahead of almost anything else you might read on the topic of light and related topics. (Feel invited to have a cup of green tea and meet me at the next paragraph for the start of the illuminating excerpt!) ☺ I will present the excerpt in sections, interspersed by my own comments and insertions of related scholarly information. The excerpt begins not with the most intellectually challenging portions but with fascinating confirmation that the Nasareans are not the only ancient religion to have believed in the existence of a Rainbow Bridge between Earth and the heavens.
Christopher Hills writes:
The Rainbow Bridge was an ancient symbol for seven worlds of Being which each individual separate soul must eventually cross. Many of the ancient legends enshrine knowledge of the Rainbow Body in symbolic form of representations. Just as E=MC2 is used as a mathematical symbol standing for the reality of energy transformation in our modern civilization, so did the ancient civilizations represent the experience of their enlightened sages who discovered the relationship between light and matter and consciousness….
An example of this can be found in the symbolic myth of Asgard, the home of the Norwegian gods…. In the allegory, Heimdal was the guard who stood on the rainbow bridge that connected earth to heaven, and he was a symbol for the Ego or self-sense. Over the bridge of the seven rainbow colors the gods passed on their way to Asgard. The dying Norse heroes were carried over the rainbow bridge (the seven levels of consciousness) by the Valkyrie maidens to Valhalla, the state of peace and bliss which existed in Asgard.
Their knowledge of death and the structure of consciousness was far superior to ours since they knew what we do not, that the soul of man lives on in seven different worlds of being which transcend the physical senses. Yet in our own blindness we believe them to be ignorant because we do not understand their symbolic language.
I am pausing our long excerpt from Hills to provide us with two reminders: 1) A reminder that, in the Essene Bible, the Rainbow Bridge spirally ascends upward through seven realms each of which is called a ‘heaven’ and are also linked with the seven chakras – the Seventh Heaven being linked with the Seventh Chakra of the Sun; and, 2) A reminder that, in the Essene Bible, the Rainbow Bridge runs between Planet Earth (the original ‘First Heaven’ that has fallen and become now a ‘Contested World) and the Sun but then continues to spiral through the Cosmic Doorway of the Seventh Chakra of the Sun upward into other chains of Seven Heavens in a never-ending Rainbow Bridge through the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond.
If anyone wonders why we would spend time examining the Rainbow Bridge in a book about Sun Yoga, I reply that the very fact that it is said to run between Earth and the Sun is reason enough. But then add in all of the other things that are related to both the Sun and the Rainbow – like the nature of light, colors, the spectrum – and add in the fact that Enoch performed Essene Yoga practices that led directly to his Rainbow Bridge experience and, in my view, our interest in the Rainbow Bridge in a Sun Yoga book is quite appropriate. Now, back to the long excerpt from Christopher Hills’ excellent book, Nuclear Evolution: Discovery of the Rainbow Body:
The gap between human beings and the vast cosmos we live in has recently narrowed with the emergence of sophisticated sensors which have mapped out the all-pervasive background radiation of space. The ideas of infinity… long ago considered… by the ancient Greek and Hindu civilizations have returned to modern cosmology along with such concepts like the big bang and the receding red shifts of other island galaxies. The imaginations of ancient thinkers that stretched to include cosmic eggs and the ocean of radiation out of which all existence was born, does not seem at all naïve compared to modern ideas of an exploding galactic nucleus, black holes, quasars and gigantic radio galaxies….
Science speculates on the vastness of nature and believes the greatest question is whether the universe is an unending cycle of continuous creation or a pulsing entity…. In fact, these questions are quite naïve compared to the much more profound question of man the experiencer and validator of all these intellectual explanations. Man himself may be a black hole searching for his own antimatter [Day: White hole counterpart] or a point of light searching for… a black hole….
The greatest challenge of man is, as it always has been, to know what is not known about ourselves – that quality of the validator and seer of all that is…. Therefore, the greatest advance will come to man when the science of being and intelligence (ontology) stands equal with the science of epistemology (the validation of evidence). When man turns the brilliance of the light of consciousness upon the nature of the human heart and the origin of love, the origin of the universe will stand revealed…. The ultimate science is nature and the ultimate scientist is the cosmic intelligence.
Having validated the vast intuitive wisdom of the ancient seers and having critiqued modern science for often being too conceited to give proper credit to those ancient wise ones who, without modern technology like microscopes and telescopes, nevertheless mapped out the universe – and the YOU-niverse – in language that sounds very similar to the best writings of what has been called ‘the new Physics’, Hills turns his attention to the chakras and related topics such as kundalini and color:
The knowledge about chakras has been around a long time…. In some of the secret books of the Brahmins of ancient times there is reference to the psychic control of Akasha…. Whether we refer to that consciousness as kundalini or Akasha or any other Sanskrit name…. There is only one book to read if we are to discover or re-discover the lost knowledge which the ancient Hindus, Egyptians and Chinese had about consciousness and that is the book of Nature, which is the same book that they themselves studied and researched by methods of divination. This same book of Nature is the source of the wisdom of the I Ching, which describes the interactions of consciousness with matter in a totally unique way and makes clearly evident the exact laws by which consciousness and the whole of Nature operates.
It is my belief not only that these laws of consciousness apply on the seven levels of man’s prismatic rainbow body [Day: those seven levels being the chakras] …. The purpose of this… is to relate what was known by Jesus and the ancient seers about Light to the creative powers expressed in the vibration of three primary colors. In the Samkhya philosophy underlying the GITA of Krishna and the sayings of Christ, the creative forces are portrayed as Satya guna, intelligence (White rays) characterized by light and by proton, Raja guna (Green rays), by movement of energy, life and the electron, Tama guna (black rays), characterized by inertia, electrical neutrality and the equilibrium status quo of the neutron.
Hills now zeroes in on the nature of light and color, moving easily between scientific and spiritual language; we read:
The three Primary Light colors Green, Red and Blue which combine their wavelengths to make white light and all the other electro-magnetic forcefields which occur in creation are manifested through the action of Black light which the Yogis call psychic electricity or akasha. This is not material electricity but a subtle electricity in the all-pervading unmanifest void. All electricity is eternal and manifests in nature as protons, electrons and neutrons. When this subtle and motionless ocean of electricity is in resonance with certain frequencies of an oscillating protonic substance (which is electricity in a state of excited motion), this psychic motionless electricity becomes quantized on contact and manifests as electro-magnetic white light….
I assume that the reader understands that when you pass translucent (‘White’ Light) – such as the clear light of the rays of the sun – through a prism, it splits into the various colors of the rainbow. So, that means that ‘Translucent Light’ (also called ‘Clear Light’ or, symbolically, ‘White Light’) actually contains within itself all of those colors. Thus, ‘clear’ sunlight consists of various colors that we cannot see until they are separated from one another, as through a prism. A ‘rainbow’ is, in fact, water in air acting as a sort of natural prism in its interaction with sunlight. Hill continues:
When we see the Reflected Light colors [Day: as distinct from the Primary Light colors he referred to in the previous portion of this excerpt] which artists and painters know as primary colors for mixing pigments, namely red, yellow and blue, we know now that our eyes and the mind which experiences the sensations of the optic nerve only record the colored rays which are not absorbed by the pigment. Since this process of absorption of light rays in humans is complicated due to the ionizing quality of primary light sources and the polarizing effects of reflected light, I have added a new section on the current scientific understanding of color. It is hoped that with these different explanations the reader can put the process together in his own mind and see the relationships to the ancient chakra systems and the raising of kundalini through them.
Because there is a distinction between unmanifest light which cannot be seen, which corresponds to the creative forces, and manifested light seen as brightness within human consciousness corresponding to the mixture of red, green and blue rays, an explanatory section has been added to the first edition.
It remains only to say that the vibration of white light that we experience as brightness is the internal response of our consciousness which is in resonance with the original word.
Hills then quotes the New Testament Gospel of John:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. (St. John, Chapter 1 verses 1-5)
Hills then comments on those verses, zeroing in on the use of the word ‘light’ in relation to ‘The Word’:
It is obvious but not often seen that the “word” which is equated with the light of man in the above quotation is the light of consciousness. Only this light can shine in the dark and cannot be quenched by darkness. For any other form of light cannot exist with darkness, for they are the antithesis of each other.
Ordinary light cannot exist in the same place as darkness without annihilating it, but the light of consciousness exists in the darkness of sleep. The invisible light of consciousness which eternally shines out of the eyes of men, cannot be comprehended unless the darkness of that sleep be understood.
There are seven levels of life present in every person which are set out in Nuclear Evolution according to nature’s universal response to color. These levels beget drives which are developed by the linkage of consciousness with life as teacher, although some drives are neglected depending on the awareness and will (heart nature) of each person.
A single conscious entity who experiences and perceives the universe does not function merely on one level thereby restricting perception to one narrow slit… consciousness is distributed proportionally across all stages and is dominated by his [Day: the conscious entity] currently incarnated stage…. The most elevated spiritual beings when they come through to us on the intuitional level and even when these beings occupy a body and incarnate here on earth, come in a terrestrial envelope which they retain during their stay with us. It is not possible to communicate with higher beings without this etheric interface as these intelligences would not experience the grosser molecular vibrations of earthly matter without this special clothing of subtle matter acting as an antenna. This book [Day: Hill’s book: Nuclear Evolution: Discovery of the Rainbow Body] is about this etheric interface or the subtle envelope we call the human aura.
All humans to some extent have remnants of this spiritual clothing in the envelope of psychic electricity which clothes them in the pranic energies of consciousness….
Thus, do we as spiritual beings change our etheric bodies of perception to grosser forms of envelope whenever we incarnate. It is through our activating the different chakras that all spirits, whether high or low, earthly or in transition… hear and feel…. Thus, the chakra system is the first step to knowing other more subtle and deeper worlds of being….
Hills next introduces three key words that are profoundly helpful to our understanding different manifestations of the one thing we call ‘light’:
In speaking of Nuclear Evolution, we use certain words or terms to make things more clear as to how light penetrates our being and causes us to see a brightness within. If we can be constantly aware of the brightness, then we can maintain the radiance of being that all people crave for the world over….
The first word [Day: of three key words being introduced] is Lumen from the Latin word for light. This is not the light you see but more the radiation which passes through space. Lumen is invisible like our own consciousness, but it is very real just as our consciousness is very real. Lumen leaves the sun and stars and passes through space to us and does not change its wave-like character by passing through space until it is absorbed by the atmosphere and layers of ozone around the earth. There its radiant property lights up these gases in the atmosphere and we see it as iridescent blue sky.
The second word is Lux, also from the Latin word for light, but this time meaning internal light which is caused inside our minds and brains. The lumen penetrates through the atmosphere directly to our eye and activates nerves and cells, and ends up inside our brains as the brightness of light (lux). We confuse this with real light (lumen or radiation) when in reality it is a psychic light, created by our own consciousness being [Day: radiated] by the lumen, which we see then as internal lux.
The third word is Nux from the Latin word for seed or kernel. This means the inner core of our being in which the cosmic plan of evolution is unfolding. We do not know this core of our real selves because it is the dark unconscious from which all our primal drives spring. It is symbolized by the black emptiness of space because it is pure and unadulterated by any thoughts, images and sensations. It is the ground of our being, just as the silence is the ground from which all vibrations of sound arise. This basic field of consciousness is like an ocean so transparent and quiet that any disturbance or vibration in it or through it will make waves. These waves are the vibrations of the universe around us from all the objects of creation—suns, stars, sky, trees, rocks, crystals or people.
Whenever we absorb light or radiation from the cosmic radiance, we are in effect taking into our body the vibrating energy caused by the activity of atoms oscillating at tremendous intensities in the heat of supernovas and stars like our sun. We do not feel this energy consciously or even acknowledge it as the source of our consciousness. The reason we do not experience this radiant cosmic light is because it is no different from our nux, our inner core of radiance….
Hills next makes clear how the above esoteric information directly relates to everything we sense. He also is beginning to reach the level of articulation that I previously described as amongst the deepest I have ever read:
The objects we sense, the trees and stars and those crystals which make up our cells, are all concentrations of this energy. They are held together by proticity [Day: Hills elsewhere explains that he coined this word to describe the protonic actions – ‘proton-like’ – of consciousness] which attracts this radiating lumen and crystallizes it into matter. All matter is crystallized energy – crystallized light. Lumen crystalizes into lux like liquid water crystallizes into solid ice through the withdrawal or absorption of its heat. Add some radiance (heat) or lumen from the light of the sun and the ice turns back into a liquid. Thus lux (inner light) turns back into lumen (pure radiant consciousness of the heart of the nux) by this absorption of radiant light from the stars. This cosmic process is going on in everything and not only in human bodies, human minds, and human imaginations….
The sun absorbs light from other more powerful suns which activate its vibrating atoms intensely. If it did not absorb this cosmic radiation light (lumen) from other stars it would eventually slow down its intense internal activity (its lux) and would crystalize from a gas into a liquid and thence into the crystal elements as a solid.
This attraction of the nux or nucleus for the absorption of cosmic light is in everything created, including our own consciousness. When the attraction is very great the lumen absorbed creates internal heat (lux) and this is called kundalini in Sanskrit.
Our consciousness of this internal light only emerges from the nux when this attraction reaches such an intensity that not only do we see the kundalini burst into flames in our consciousness and become uncrystallized liquid fire within the nux, but we also realize it as radiance (lumen). It is then that the human being notices that there is no difference between his own consciousness in the nux and the radiance of the cosmic light of the sun and stars, eternally radiating as lumen. Consciousness and the light of the cosmos become ONE. Thus the “nux” or nuclear center of all things in creation absorbs light (lumen) until its heat and brightness become first “lux” and then radiance or “lumen.”
An object or a human being is much like a pigment which absorbs part of the light and reflects the remainder as secondary rays which we then call color. It becomes important to quickly distinguish between the characteristics of radiant lumen or radiation before it touches an object and the reflected rays of light which have had part of the energy in them absorbed and crystallized into matter….
Is there any difference between the spiritualization of matter and the materialization of the spirit? We can answer this question with an equation. The process of absorption of cosmic light can be summed up in the symbolic equation:
NUX + LUX = FLUX
FLUX – LUX = LUMEN
The above equation is true when the flux is equal to the change required to bring about the transformation from lux (internal light of consciousness) to lumen (the external light of cosmos). The word flux comes from the Latin word meaning flow, becoming fluid, change or fluctuation….
Hills explains why the above scientific realities matter to a yogi seeking greater enlightenment so as to lovingly help the world:
The more an object or a human body can absorb of the lumen the more intense is the flux threshold and therefore the ability to increase the vibrations of the internal lux, until it changes into lumen and begins to radiate light instead of crystallizing it into matter.
In other words, you can become more spiritualized – literally ‘enlightened’ – or can become denser, less-conscious, matter. Either way, the densest matter and the most spiritualized etheric energies are all made of the same stuff; the only difference is the degree of spiritual evolution or, we could say, the luminosity of our vibrations related to our ability to intake and process light in a positive manner. Hills writes:
It follows that there is absolutely no real difference between the composition of matter and light, in the same way that there is no difference between the atoms of ice and water. The only difference between them is structural arrangement of the molecules of water due to the addition or subtraction of heat/radiance/lumen…. Light or radiation striking a body is partly reflected, partly transmitted and partly absorbed depending on its atomic structure.
In exactly the same way, there is no difference between the nux, lux and the lumen. Only the flux or the ability to change the more dense crystallized state to the liquid and gaseus states makes the structural arrangement of the levels of human consciousness permeable to radiant light or lumen…. The different thresholds of this flux are caused by the ability to absorb and re-radiate the light of the cosmos (lumen)….
Since Lux and Flux cancel out on both sides of the equation, it is easy to see that Nux and Lumen are the same thing. The only difference is that Nux is [Day: wound up, concentrated] in self-consciousness while Lumen is free and expanding [Day: unwinding] throughout space as radiant energy of cosmic consciousness or Brahman, otherwise known as the heat and radiance of kundalini.
Hills then links all the above with the topic of chakras and light:
Nuclear Evolution relates the chakras with subtle psycho-energetic functions and personality traits with the manifestation and actualization of electro-magnetic wave-fields. Consciousness interacts with these wave-fields and modifies them.
Beams of light we see coming from the sun or the searchlight beams across the sky are only seen because of the light scattered by particles in the atmosphere. The actual light itself is invisible – we only see it as it illuminates dust or droplets of water.
Hills refers below to ‘cosmic rays’. Those are rays of light that reach us from stars other than our own sun:
However, cosmic rays coming from powerful stars are not scattered because they are coherent light. Their light has already been scattered in space, so we are receiving only the frequency of radiation that is left behind. Thus, cosmic radiation is penetrating the atoms and molecules of our bodies and that which is in resonance with our cell molecules is being scattered inside us. Just as water vapor scatters light in the atmosphere making rainbows, so the water molecules in the human body scatter the photons of energy making the cells into tiny radio-magnetic centers of life.
Although we will return to the admittedly long excerpt from Hills’ book – if you are evolved enough to even partly understand it, you are likely excited by its profundity – I want to share an excerpt from The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of the Essene Way that, in its own poetic language, makes reference to the positive experience we can have by communing not just with our own sun, but also with the other stars of the heavens.
Communion with the Stars is Called by Yahshua: Communion with the Saints!
When Yahshua spoke at the funeral for his father Joseph, he told the following story.
434. Yahshua said… “When I was nine, Joseph and I sat beneath the stars one night beside a fire, like we do now.
435. Gazing at the stars, Joseph said: ‘Yahshua, look at the stars of the heavens!
436. Each star is a spark of the one universal body of stars, which is all stars.
437. By communing with our star, Shemesh, we are communing with that universal body that consists of all stars.’
438. So spoke my father, Joseph.
439. Wherefore, I say: Commune by day with the sun, Shemesh, and at night commune with the sisters and brothers of Shemesh.
440. When you commune with the stars, you commune with the saints!
441. For the stars are great lights, indeed!
442. They have earned their positions in the heavens.”
If we do at night time as Yahshua advised above – commune with the sisters and brothers of Shemesh (Shemesh being our sun that we commune with during the day) – we will be communing with the ‘Cosmic Rays’ described in scientific terms by Christopher Hills. I love the line that Yahshua spoke in verse 440: “When you commune with the stars, you commune with the saints!” When I walk outside at night and see the stars – I live in a forest with few artificial lights and so see amazing displays of uncountable stars at night – I remember those words of Yahshua and excitedly realize: ‘Wow, I am communing with some of the greatest saints in the Milky Way galaxy!’ I suggest you go out under the stars and contemplate the above verses as you realize that, in that moment, you are ‘communing with the saints!’ One of whom, by our current era, may well be Joseph himself; recall that, at the funeral for Joseph, it was also revealed that he was such an exalted soul that his next incarnation would be as the guiding soul of a star! That profound revelation was given in the following prophecy of the eldest Nasarean Wizardess, Negohah ha Shekinah; though I provided this brief yet profound excerpt previously, it warrants being shared once more in the context at hand:
The Prophecy of Negohah for Joseph
352. “Joseph, body slain, soul ascended, hear my words: Your line is the vine that has birthed the seventh generation fruit that is Christ the Lord!
353. In worlds beneath ancient suns in cycles past, you have seeded the Christ.
354. Now a new adventure: you will become the Spirit of a Living Sun!
355. And all you need do is smile!
356. For your smile will be the shine that countless creatures in your orbit will call sunlight!”
Wow! ☺
By the way, the wife of Joseph, that most famous mother of all time – yup, Mother Mary – is later revealed (in the Megillah) to be destined to join Joseph in his future ‘star incarnation’; she will be the Air to his Fire in their ongoing co-chosen, tantric-soul-mate, ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP!
Now back to the Hills’ excerpt; it just keeps getting more amazing, more profound, more enlightening:
The inner worlds of each person correspond to the absorption of cosmic light energies which are mixed together inside the consciousness of an individual human being as colors. Depending on the proportion of the color rays absorbed, each human becomes a type of liquid crystal who acts and reacts in his or her consciousness according to laws of harmonic resonance.
The color Triangle of the classical scientific theory is shown in a two-dimensional representation, whereas the real form is a spiral within a half sphere. Points of intersection of the dotted lines represent those colors obtained by mixing wavelengths of light [shown in angstrom units in the illustration that accompanies this text in the book] together in proportional amounts equivalent to the distance from the sides of the Triangle. Equal mixture of primary color light rays is shown at the central point and is seen as white light.
The human body is a resonating system whose aura can be measured according to the excitement of the electron shells around the atoms of our bodies…. These centers set up edges or outlines of spherical wave-fields depending on the health of the person and the number of chakras functioning…. The earth itself receives light from the cosmos like a giant chakra and within its magnetic field there are subsidiary vortexes spiraling around several centers which resonate with different types of crystal structures upon the earth….
The spherical field which surrounds the earth corresponds to the universal field that surrounds the human body showing an L-field of 13 to L-80—resonant nodal points which make the pendulum “come alive” when passed over the invisible field edges at seven points which correspond to one of the colors of the spectrum. Horizontal or vertical polarity of the color is determined by its being in phase with the vertical electric plane at right angles to the horizontal magnetic plane. The human consciousness resonates to vertical electric energy at mental levels of mind energy and horizontal magnetic relates to emotional chemical energies in the huma body. These in turn correspond to the nervous system’s seven plexus electromagnetic energies and the endocrine system’s seven chemical hormones….
The ancient sages postulated that there was an invisible light which could not be sensed because it does not become matter until it touches some gravitational or spiraling vortex, which attracts it into a center. They viewed the seed or nucleus of material form as a transformer of this Akash into Kasha or visible light….
I wish to address some of what has been asserted above and then will pick up the Hills excerpt. Surely, you realize that you just read some of the ‘highest human articulation that has ever been articulated’! ☺
Just as surely, you will thus agree that it is worthy of a comment or two… or in my case, maybe even a sub-excerpt within a sub-excerpt or two… or three or four if I am really feeling my excerpting oats! ☺
Gary Zukav became famous for his now-classic book on the ‘new physics’ titled The Dancing Wu Li Masters. In another of his excellent books – The Seat of the Soul – Zukav refers to a ‘spiritual light’ that is senior to – even parent to – physical light and its finite speed. He writes:
Thinking of the universe in terms of light, frequencies, and energies of different frequencies – in the terms that have become familiar to us through the study of physical light – is not merely metaphorical. It is a natural and powerful way to think of the Universe because physical light is a reflection of nonphysical Light. Physical light is not the Light of your soul. Physical light travels at a certain velocity. It cannot go faster. The Light of your soul is instantaneous…. Instantaneousness, therefore, is very much a part of your life.
In nonphysical reality, the decisions that you make in terms of how you choose to use your energy have effects that are instantaneous. They are one with who and what you are….
Just as visible light is one portion, like an octave, in a continuum of energy of graduated frequencies that extends below and above what the eye can see, the continuum of nonphysical Light extends below and above, so to speak, the frequency range in which the human exists. The human experience is a particular frequency range in the continuum of nonphysical Light in the same way that visible light is a particular frequency range in the continuum of physical light.
Other intelligences inhabit other ranges of frequency. These forms of Life do not exist elsewhere from us. Just as infrared light, ultraviolet light, microwave light and many, many other frequency and ranges of frequencies coexist with the visible light spectrum, but are invisible to us, the Life forms that are characterized by different frequency ranges of nonphysical Light coexist with us, but are invisible to us. In the place that you now sit exist many different beings, or groups of beings, each active and evolving in its own reality and in its own way….
Our species is evolving from one frequency range in the spectrum of nonphysical Light into another, higher range of frequency. This is the evolution of the five-sensory personality into the multisensory personality. The multisensory personality is more radiant and energetic than the five-sensory personality. It is aware of the Light of its soul, and it is able to detect, and to communicate with, forms of Life that are invisible to the five-sensory personality.
The Universe is a hierarchy that has no bottom and no top. Between the levels of the hierarchy there is an understanding that higher perceptions can be a part of, and are encouraged to be a part of, the experience of lower plane spirits as they strive to expand their own awareness. Thus, there is always a higher level of assistance….
Our nonphysical assistance comes from ranges of nonphysical Light that are higher in frequency than our own. The intelligences that assist and guide us… are of a higher rank in creation….
Does the above not strike you as a much more ‘evolved’ version of the concept of evolution than that taught in mainstream schools? Evolution is a Grand Spiral consisting of uncountable spirals within spirals within spirals. Within the spiral of our Milky Way Galaxy are uncountable spirals within spirals within spirals, and, the Milky Way is in its wholeness itself just one spiral within countless other spirals.
Even within your own body-mind-soul complex are countless spirals within spirals. All of these spirals, together, are the ‘Great Dance of the All’ called Universal YHWH. And the spiral form is that of the Trinity – the masculine spin and the feminine spin centered in YAH (gender neutral Zero Point at the center of the Number Line) that generates electromagnetism and makes possible the physical realm as well as all other realms that collectively emerge from the Zero.
We each, the Megillah makes clear, are free to either rise or fall on the Spiral Ladder, in terms of personal character and ethical attainment. That, my friends, is where religion and spiritual practices come into play. It is also where Nasarean Cosmology leads to Nasarean Spiritual Practices.
The Nasarean Religion of the Essene Way is rooted in the Hebrew root Nasa, a verb – used also as a noun by Nasareans – meaning ascend/ascension – and that ascent is linked to the above notion of the Grand Spiral of Life. For human beings – us – that ascent is aided by acts of kindness and goodness – the ‘Ultimate Good’ being for Nasareans Universal Love – and is hindered by unloving thoughts, words, and deeds.
The rung – level in the cosmic school system – we occupy any given moment comes with its own level of expectations in regard to the standard of behavior considered adequately ‘loving’ to result in further ascension to still higher rungs of the Golden Spiral of Being. For example, the level of behavior for a wolf to be making upward progress is not the same as, say, a Buddhist monk… or, say, the Nasarean Yogi you.
Many of the readers of these words have reached a level of consciousness that enables you to now Consciously Participate in your Spiritual Evolution. While all Beings are on the spiritual path in the sense that all are part of the evolutionary process itself – all Beings are somewhere on the Grand Spiral – not all are yet at a level on the Spiral Ladder of Ascension so as to be able to consciously participate in their spiritual evolution. Those that are able to participate consciously, enter a phase of great potential acceleration in spiritual evolution. The Dance of the Lord Christ and Lady Christ, the Spiral Dance of Creation, is a Love Dance. Literally.
One of the most beautiful chapters in The Holy Megillah: Nasarean Bible of the Essene Way, is titled The Great Dance of Jahday and Jahnah. It begins with the following fourteen verses that describe the launching of The Spiral Dance of Creation, also called ‘The Dance of Light’:
1. It was ordained by Jah-Jah that Jahday and Jahnah would be Saviors of the children of the Mother Ovum.
2. For, it would be through the merciful intervention of Lord Christ and Lady Christ that Jah-Jah would intervene in the pain of evolving Beings and worlds.
3. Yea, for this purpose Jah-Jah anointed the Lord and Lady with oil from the Tree of Life, which oil is the Water of Life.
4. But, behold: it was also ordained by Jah-Jah that Jahday and Jahnah would be the Father God and Mother Goddess of the children of the Mother Ovum.
5. And it was ordained in the plan of Jah-Jah – which was engraved within Jahday and Jahnah – that the Mother Ovum would be a universe of space, time, number, letter, form, elements, and principles, in which the Children of the Mother Ovum would play, learn, and work.
6. Thus, the first duty of Jahday and Jahnah was that of Creation.
7. Yea, the Dance of Creation was Their Dance!8. Before the beginning of Their Dance, the Mother Ovum was Bohu, a dark void of desolate emptiness.
9. And this void was Tohu, without form.
10. And this void was dark because there was yet no Aur haBahir, no Light of Illumination.
11. And this void was desolate because the Spirit of Yah was with Elohim in Tzimtzum.
12. Then, bursting outward in ecstasy from Tzimtzum into Bohu, the Spiral Dance of Creation began.
13. Behold: Elohim Karim!
14. Which is to say, Elohim Dances!
In the above excerpt, we read that Jahday (the Lord Christ that later incarnated on Earth as Yahshua – ‘Jesus’) and Jahnah (the Lady Christ that later incarnated on Earth as ‘Miriam’ – ‘Mary Magdalene’) danced the Karar HaAur, the Dance of Light. What is the ‘Dance of Light’?
The Holy Megillah reveals that this dance was “a whirling motion with the sound of a hum.” This dance burst forth from Tzimtzum – a point of self-contraction in which Deity wound Himself (Jah) and Herself (Jahlah) into a ‘Original Cosmic Point of Union of Him and Her in the Oneness of Their Loving Embrace’, this happening at the center of what became the universe of space-time that we call the ‘Mother Ovum’.
Prior to this ecstatic burst of Sacred Dance, the Mother Ovum – the Physical Universe that includes all of the stars seen and unseen – was “Bohu” and “Tohu”. Bohu is a Hebrew word that means void or emptiness, and Tohu means without form. So, from the center of the formless, primordial void, the Dance of Light, which is the Dance of the Lord and Lady, burst forth as “a whirling motion with the sound of a hum.” That ‘hum’ sounds downright ‘electrical’ or, in this case, downright ‘electro-magnetic’.
The Holy Megillah reveals that this “whirling motion” was a “Spiral Dance”; we read: “Then, bursting outward in ecstasy, the Spiral Dance of Creation began!” The Megillah also refers to this Spiral Dance as a creative ‘whirlwind’. The Hebrew word for this creative whirlwind is sa’arah. We read:
25. And the Spiral Dance was the Sa’arah, the Whirlwind.
26. And the Whirlwind was the Breath of Yah upon the void, the Air of Being blowing upon the void of Non-Being.
27. And from the Sa’arah came forth Sparks of Light, Nitzot haAur.
28. And each Spark of Light is a Seed of Light, a Zera haAur.
29. And each Seed of Light is a Soul, a Nephesh, a Spiritual Being.
30. Behold: Elohim created each Being in the embryonic image and likeness of Elohim, male and female, each wearing Yah as a Crown of Glory.
That last verse, of course, is a reference to the Crown Chakra that each of us wears.
Christopher Hills’ mentor, Walter Russell – who had died [Russell’s own word for death was ‘re-folded’ which, he explained, is always followed by another ‘unfolding’] before Hills wrote his book – zeroed in on this same topic. It is significant that the Dance of Light, which is also called The Great Dance of Creation, is described as a Spiral motion. The significance of spiral motion, as we have already seen, has been noted by many of the most illuminated of esoteric scientists. Walter Russell, who Hills once referred to as his “greatest human teacher”, writes in The Universal One:
All energy of motion expresses itself in waves. All waves are opposed spirals…. All opposed spiral waves accumulate mass and simultaneously redistribute that accumulation. All accumulating mass is aiming toward gyroscopic perfection of motion…. The direction of all pressure is spiral. All direction is therefore curved. All curves are spiral. All orbits are spiral. An object freely moving in space must move in a curved spiral line whether that object be a planet, a corpuscle, a ‘ray’ of light or any other expression of energy.
Not only did Russell, above, use the very Nasarean term spiral to describe creation, he then uses the Nasarean term whirlwind. Russell writes:
All effects of motion are whirlwinds. The nearer the gravitational center, the greater the whirlwind. For example, the solar system is a whirlwind with Mercury swirling swiftly near the gravitative center where the vast pressures whirl it around the sun in eighty-eight days at a speed of about thirty miles each second, whereas the speeds of the more outer-orbit planets are progressively slower: the Earth orbits the sun at eighteen miles per second, Jupiter at eight miles per second, and Neptune at three miles per second. The gravitational center of any rotating mass in motion is the point of greatest density and least speed of rotation…. Motion ceases at the vortex of a whirlpool in the equilibrium of maximum motion-in-opposition….
Pay attention to that last sentence above; here it is again:
Motion ceases at the vortex of a whirlpool in the equilibrium of maximum motion-in-opposition….

That my friends, is a reference to ‘The Still Zero Within’, which is the place of balance between the Masculine and Feminine Polarities. Both the masculine Yang and the feminine Yin have the Still Zero within.
In the illustration above, Russell illustrates the concept of the Sacred Spiral and the Still Zero:
In the illustration below, the ‘zero’ is represented by the column of White Light that is always the center point of any cross section of the spiral. So, whatever point of a spiral you point to, that point is always centered by the Still Zero.

Below, the sort of double or twisting spirals that, according to Russell, all waves consist of, and the whole idea of the ‘Stairway of the Heavens’ or ‘Spiral Ladder of Being’, is well illustrated by the DNA double helix spiral:

Guy Murchie, in his The Seven Mysteries of Life, uses the term ‘spiral staircase’ to describe DNA:
After World War II, when the electron microscope suddenly made it possible to magnify a pinhead to the size of the Pentagon building and new ex-ray equipment started “seeing” chromosomes as fibrous, twisted cords, the gene molecule at last came into focus, resolving itself into a beautiful and intricate spiral, now deservedly famous, if not exactly familiar, as DNA….
In fact it proved (on close analysis) to be a double helix ladder, something like a spiral staircase with curving but parallel sides cross-linked every millimicron of the way by steplike rungs embedded at both ends….
The universality of this extraordinary material is quite beyond comprehension, but a slight idea of its scope may be gleaned if you can realize that on Earth alone DNA is widely presumed to have existed since “life” began some three billion years ago, and it now directs in detail all cellular growth in every kind of organism.
If all the tightly wound DNA in even a single cell nucleus of your body were uncoiled and the pieces laid end to end, it has been estimated the invisible genetic thread would extend five feet, which would make the DNA in all your fifty trillion cells stretch out fifty billion miles or enough to reach to the moon and back 100,000 times.
In Chapter 3 [Day: of his book], I likened DNA to magnetic tape of a mystic origin, which seems an apt analogy for this extraordinary “one dimensional” molecule that holds all the essential data of a lifetime. Yet, amazingly, DNA is made of nothing but common elements put together as twin backbones of repeating groups of sugar and phosphate with crossrungs of nitrogen compounds whose numerous variations spell out the ineffable code of life.
You might think that the four standard chemical rungs of adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine (usually abbreviated A,T,C and G) would be much too simple to convey all the sophisticated information and intricate instructions needed to assemble an entire organism, but a leading geneticist has calculated that if we were to translate the coded messages of a single human cell into English, they would fill a thousand volume library. So the four rungs somehow seem to manage to express themselves. And increasingly overwhelming evidence shows that they do it in stages, even as do the simpler dots and dashes of Morse code compose letters that write books that fill libraries.
It is significant, moreover, that all phonetic alphabets contain about twenty letters, which, not by chance, is the number of different amino acids that surge through protoplasm and its genes. And the very A, T, C and G rungs in those genes, operating like linotype machines, are what pick up the amino molecules, one by one, to mold from each the equivalent of letter type, whose sequences spell out words in the 20-letter amino alphabet.
Indeed this is the source of the long polypeptide chains that stream from DNA like ticker tape, the hundreds of amino words in a typical one composing a complete genetic paragraph….
Here comes the sexy, yin meets yang part:
When the genes are… awake and “turned on” – that is, actively replicating themselves into more protoplasm in the cell’s protein factories (called ribosomes) – the chromosomes puff out in noticable swellings…. For decades geneticists could not figure out what was going on inside these chromosome puffs…. What we have learned, however, is that this is the first stage of cell growth, of reproduction…. What happens is that, as the two strands of the DNA separate [Day: to make room for the reproduction – birth – of the new cell that has come from their union], each strand is bereft… leaving it feeling incomplete, like a bride-to-be at the church door. But it has been unzipped down the middle of each rung, so to speak, precisely between the two letters that form the rung (these being always either the AT or CG, or their reverse orders of TA or GC, a total of four alternatives) so that each A is now yearning for another T and each C for another G and vice versa.
The “yearning” of DNA referenced in the last sentence above – “yearning for another” – is seemingly sexual, as is the content of the entire paragraph.
In his book, The Human Antenna: Reading the Language of the Universe in the Songs of Our Cells, Dr. Robin Kelly links the spiral dance to the DNA Double Helix, putting the Zero Point at the ‘heart of the matter’ (and ‘at the heart of matter’):
It has been calculated that if we were to unwind the DNA in each of our cells and stretch it out on the floor it would measure over 5 feet. So it is obviously in its coiled shape for packaging reasons – but as I have already hinted, maybe there are other secrets held deep within the double helix….
Let us step back – just briefly I promise – into the world of secondary school physics. The standard electrical coil we find in our electric kettle consists of conducting cable through which passes an electrical current. Around the coil, an electromagnetic field is produced…. When the coil forms the figure-of-eight shape… the Mobius Coil… all the magnetic fields cancel each other out, leaving a magnetic vacuum…. This space, like the entangled space connecting electrons of opposing spin, is the opening to another dimension; an energy that exists outside our concepts of space and time, known variously as free, zero-point and scalar energy.
Kelly continues, comparing the Mobius coil with the DNA spiral and the well-known infinity sign:
Scalar energy is non-local and non-temporal. Information does not travel from ‘here’ to ‘there’; it coexists in both places simultaneously. The double helical DNA is constructed of many tiny, but powerful Mobius coils laid end on end. We are beginning to understand that every molecule of DNA within every fifty trillion cells is continuously transmitting this non-local scalar energy to receptors all around the body….
The microscopic double helix of the DNA therefore leaves its imprint within the matrix of the whole body…. Some scientists speculate that the DNA acts as a projector for a 4-dimensional state, as time itself is processed by this remarkable molecule….
It is complex, outside our wildest imaginings, as trillions of information fields projected by our DNA interact with each other, as countless ripples on a lake. It is even more mind boggling to realize that these fields are also in direct contact with morphic fields ‘outside’ our body – from our society, nature and the boundless cosmos….
Our understanding of DNA deepens, as we perceive it as a vital link between our earth-bound mortal/physical body and the more ethereal realms of our immortal, timeless soul. It is perhaps no coincidence that the shape of the Mobius coil is the classical sign of infinity.
In The Human Antenna, Dr. Kelly provided the following caption related to DNA:
The DNA molecule is an exceptional generator of energy. It is proposed that it functions as a relay station, connecting our inner and outer worlds. It appears that the fundamental nature of reality is contained within fields of information. Our perceived real world ‘collapses’ down from these realms.
Our excerpt from Kelly continues:
If we were to view the DNA molecule from either of its ends, it would appear as a donut-shaped ring – like the toroidal coil…. In the central hole, the magnetic fields are cancelled out, opening our window to another dimension. If we were to shrink ourselves down enough to sit inside this hole, it is likely we would experience a wonderful state of peace while all around us we would see this fierce electrical storm raging. Those who find themselves in the eye of a hurricane often experience an eerie calm, while the storm forms a formidable whirling wall around them….
Kelly is clearly describing what Russell and others call ‘the Still Center’. He continues:
As I started to appreciate the holographic nature of the universe, I became more aware of the significance of patterns, shapes and proportions. What appeared before to be visual metaphors now began to convey more profound meanings. I started to consider whether the hole in the DNA, the eye of the hurricane and the way my bathwater disappeared down the plughole were more closely linked. I was seeing whirls everywhere…. The chakra openings were described as whirling vortices, as were the acupuncture points. Physicist John Wheeler theorised that space itself comprised an infinite number of tiny spiral wormholes; he named this phenomenon ‘the quantum foam’….
Another word for this pure form of information is consciousness.
Above, Dr. Kelly ended by linking the ‘Spiral Dance’ with consciousness.
I promised that we would return to Christopher Hills when the moment was purrrfect. The moment has come! Meow! ☺
In his Spiritual Evolution: The Discovery of the Rainbow Body, Hills writes:
We can see… the intricate design of this chakra or wheel of spiraling energy was seen by the ancient clairvoyant sages as a center of energy in the form of a flower with a different number of petals to denote its vibration. Anyone who has seen patterns on a cathode tube such as the oscilloscope can note the similarity of a spiraling electron field circling in a conical magnetic field….
There is a subtle connection between thoughts and the … seven major nerve centers along the spine and the seven chakras. These centers are made of a different kind of… energy folding back on itself like the vortex-sponge model of Lord Kelvin. They are different but they are connected to all the mental, emotional and spiritual vehicles of man. Like a sponge they absorb the cosmic radiations…. Any change in one of the levels, i.e. chemical, physical or spiritual or mental, will automatically produce changes in the others. Similarly, changes in chakra function determine the way we absorb the cosmic light of the universe….
The double helix is said to be the best macroscopic picture of the microcosmic nucleic acid structure of the cell genes. As such, it portrays the macromolecule of DNA which transmits the pattern of life from generation to generation. The DNA itself does not act as a template but as a messenger which transfers its “message” to other nuclei acid proteins in the protoplasm surrounding the nucleus. It is a fundamental concept of Nuclear Evolution that consciousness can not only change the pattern of protein synthesis but also enter into the DNA patterns through the controlled action of cosmic light and the enzyme involved.
The role of field forces set up by the chakras and their effects on the ways we transduce light energy into biophysical energy is determined by resonance between the gene, the PH of the cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles of the brain and the universal field of consciousness in which all evolution takes place.
The ancients believed that the physical proteins of the body took the shape of the guiding mental field in terms of current thoughts and the experiences stored in the memory. No one who has ever seen a person improve in physical health, shape, flesh and bones, etc. by letting go of an unwholesome thought pattern can doubt the power of consciousness to transform cell-proteins and flesh almost out of recognition.
Kundalini is basically, consciousness and everyone has it. The only difference between a “seer” and an ordinary person is that kundalini is latent in one and manifest in the other when it moves out of its normal house in the bottom chakra and burns its way up to the higher chakras or psychic centers in man.
When it moves through the chakras, the kundalini burns fire through the channels or nerve currents which carry it upwards to the magnetic part of the mind and brain. Strictly speaking, what is burning and moving is not a chemical or an energy, but energy is the by-product, just as light is completely unquantized until it is absorbed or impinges on something resulting in heat and energy being released as a by-product.
So, is consciousness the same as unquantized light? Only when it moves through the system can it be described as kundalini because only then do we become conscious of its existence as an ambrosia which melts and burns. To describe kundalini in chemical or energetic terms alone is to avoid the real cause and look only at the effects. Without the light of consciousness moving through our receptors we would not see, smell, taste, hear or touch anything. Yet we do not see kundalini described as ordinary consciousness but always as something special.
Kundalini is a basic component of life and it is only when it moves from one place to another that we sense it or feel it as “energy”. It is important to get this process crystal clear to understand kundalini. When I told someone who was making a deep study of kundalini that it was a psychic electricity he immediately mistook my statement and thought I was saying that nothing physical actually happened at the root of the spine…. Obviously, there is a chemical and electrical energy which can easily be measured by… instruments not only at the base of the spine, but at all the chakras too, but as I said, this is only an effect…. Every center in the body has a corresponding energy center in the brain. Whatever happens inside the body or outside of the body eventually finishes up as electrical potentials inside the brain and thus, eventually is recognized as a sensation in the mind-stuff which ultimately makes sense of it in our consciousness.
The entire cerebral cortex is involved in the transformation of kundalini into the chemical, emotional, mental and spiritual functions of each level of consciousness corresponding to the number of chakras activated in each person.
The chakras are vortices of spiraling psychic electricity but, like the nervous system, they are only the biological prisms through which kundalini is differentiated from the whole spectrum.
Such is kundalini. We use it every day, we have sex with it as often as we can…. To think of kundalini as something objective and separate from the experiencer is like separating the internal light of our consciousness from the external light of the cosmos. We think it can be done by closing our eyes. But without both internal and external light functioning together nothing objective can be seen or experienced.
Light only becomes energy when it strikes something material in space; until then it is unmanifest radiation, unquantized and invisible throughout space, to which the ancients gave the name akasha, meaning in Sanskrit, the light that cannot be seen, as against kasha which means the light you see as brightness.
The whole of man’s evolutionary history is impregnated in the consciousness of every atom, cell, molecule, organism. The creation of a proton from a supernova explosion is imprinted in the self-image of that proton. The holograms of proton, cell, molecule, human, star, supernova, are replications created by the intersecting of light beams in standing waves, of the original image projected into the light of consciousness by consciousness itself.
The experience of cosmic consciousness is reliving and re-creating the play of consciousness, the creation of billions of stars and supernovas from time immemorial and the realization of the total evolutionary potential of mans’ consciousness.
When we glimpse the vastness of this galaxy and other galaxies, contained within countless universes, we realize that our sun, which illumines our world, is… small… in relation to the awesome splendor and expanse of creation, of consciousness. In relation to the universal potential the sun’s consciousness…. is much more evolved than man’s….
The whole universe is still re-distributing the energy of the primeval atom which expanded and created it in the first place. That energy is coming to us in the waves of gravitation and levitation.
Gravitational waves flow inward towards the center of every object including our consciousness and levitational waves are flowing out from the center as light. Light waves are then merely the energy of something re-distributing itself in space, and our consciousness, which looks out of our eyes and shines on objects, is that same expanding field of waves of levitational energy.
We must now assume the viewpoint of a universal hologram illuminated by rays from every direction in space expanding from everything at once and entering into everything through gravitational pull into a nuclear center. The attraction of gravitation working inside every nuclear center pulls all matter into tighter and tighter clumps, but this attraction is resisted by another effect [Day: think Yin dancing with Yang], for example some [outward] pressure within the material. If it is a star, we say it is radiation pressure which forces light out of the sun and creates an expanding wave-field of solar energy which continues forever and ever in space until it is absorbed by other suns and galaxies of suns. These suns are also expanding, and their levity force is expanding their energy into the totality of space.
The universal hologram is created by the light rays of all these suns whose coherent rays of expanding energy create wave-fields travelling in every direction at once and this light energy is then absorbed into our own system of atoms and molecules according to the resonant frequencies established by the different cellular mechanisms in which these wave-fields propagate.
In each of the next two paragraphs, Hills makes references to the seven chakras without using the word ‘chakra’, so pay close attention:
The universal hologram is caused by the absorption and reflection of rays of cosmic light, which constitute the continuous expansion of the universe in seven different thresholds [Day: the seven major chakras] of a homogeneous medium.
The word levity, from the Latin, means lightness in weight and the continued lightening of matter causes it to expand into these seven levels of radiation [Day: again, Hills is referring to the seven chakras].
Hence, light is that quality which causes our consciousness to expand beyond the heavy weight of our atomic vehicle. The subtle matter of this vehicle acts as a medium for absorbing the background radiation from all the expanding stars in the cosmos, which are redistributing the energy of their intense enlightening.
Having explained ‘light’ in relation to the chakras, Hills next addresses colors:
The background radiation is vibrating at different wavelengths which mesh with different kinds of proteins in the physical medium which is also vibrating material. A pure color is a fixed distance between the crests of the wave oscillations in the vibrating field which is called by the convenient name of “wavelength”.
The background of invisible radiation or ordinary white light as we call the visible radiation from our local star, the sun, is made up of pure colors consisting of seven whole sets of different wavelengths. These waves can be separated in man’s body by his chakras acting as different mediums or, to make these invisible rays visible we can shine the waves of light or radiation through a glass plate or prism… so that the rays are bent as they enter….
We can see that the blue ray is bent more than the red ray and we can see that the shorter wavelength of the blue light has more penetrating power in a subtle medium, where as in the dense medium such as cells and proteins, the larger red rays are quickly absorbed as heat rays. Hence, we see that the slower frequency and longer wavelengths of red light affect the physical sensations of matter, while the blue light penetrates the mind which is also a more subtle material vibration of man’s being.
If a ray of light containing the mixed radiating colors of the sun’s levitating expansion is passed through a glass prism, the various colors are refracted and separate as they emerge out of the far side of the prism. This expansive radiation is still in the form of invisible rays when they emerge but by shining them on some matter, such as a white screen, we reflect the colors so that the separate colors may be observed to take up the seven different thresholds in the colors of the rainbow.
The phenomenon of the rainbow made by spherical water drops in the sky acts like a prism and in the same way the spherical wave-fields of the medium we call the human vehicle act to separate the cosmic light of the stars into its constituent aura colors. In exactly the same way that the prism shows us the seven threshholds of ordinary white light from the sun, the human chakra system of subtle radiating energies reveals the colors of the cosmic expansion in every human consciousness.
To reach the end of this long evolutionary journey, full of the joy of coming home, we will have to understand, master, and become the laws of creation, because in Nuclear Evolution there is no difference between the external cosmic light of the universe flowing between star and star, sun and planet, or filling the totality of empty space, and the consciousness or kundalini energy which is experienced internally as brightness, color or heat. If there seems to be a difference, it is because there is a vast difference in the way different human beings process kundalini through their sensory vehicle – the human bioenergetic chakra system.
I trust that you will agree that I did not exaggerate the greatness of the above excerpt(s) from Christopher Hills’ book, Nuclear Evolution: The Discovery of the Rainbow Body. I promised that after the Hills excerpt and several sub-excerpts related to Hills (related in the sense that they were excerpts that were ‘playing off’ or ‘reflecting on’ portions of his long excerpt) that I would share several others on the topic of light and color and then return to where we left off in Yahshua’s lecture on Sun Yoga provided in his Sermon on Essene Yoga. The first of those ‘others’ is a wonderful excerpt on ‘color’ (being English the author spells it ‘colour’) from a book titled, The Power of the Rays: The Science of Colour Healing. The author, S.G.J. Ouseley, writes:
Light and colour, said the philosopher Bacon, demand investigation before form, for colour is life. The splendid symphony of colour which we see manifested on all sides of the universe is the visible expression of Divine Mind. It is the cosmic manifestation of the One Life Principle in the form of light waves….
In our universe all light is an emanation from the central sun: Colour is a mode of differentiation of this primal light according to different rates of vibration….
In the cosmos there are light rays of a much higher order and power than the colours, or reflections, with which we are familiar. Colour expresses the very soul of the universe.
According to Paracelsus and other great masters of the secret wisdom, when a universal life-cycle begins, it first appears as a rapidly vibrating mass of scintillating colours – an infinite spiral of colours….
In studying colour, we are studying a force of immeasurable and infinite power…. The science of colour rests on the laws of light as manifested in the Seven Major Rays. The colour rays are intrinsically related to the seven planes of manifestation and also to the seven major glandular centers in the human body, called the chakras….
Ordinarily speaking, the sun radiates white light waves capable of being resolved into seven main constituent parts of different wave-lengths. From the esoteric aspect, the White Light (Spiritual Sun) enters the consciousness of the soul through the aura and is diffused into its seven component colours, each infusing the appropriate center with power and vitality….
In the ordinary sense, the Seven Major Rays are known as: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet…. The tabulation of colours given above concerns only the octaves of visible light. At each end of the spectrum there exists several octaves of higher radiations and X-radiations… and beyond them are the Cosmic Rays….
Cosmically speaking, the spectrum is an epitome of the evolution of our universe. Each of the seven rays stands for one of the great evolutionary epochs….
In reality, the rays are forces of infinite power and purpose emanating from the Supreme Source, the great White Light, and guided and directed by all-powerful intelligences…. As in the macrocosm, so also in the microcosm.
One of my favorite books on the topic of Light and the Spectrum is titled, Exploring the Spectrum. The author of that book, Philip Callahan, writes:
Light is a master controller of biological life…. Usually, when we use the word spectrum we think immediately of color…. Color is very important to our lives…. But what exactly is color?
Sir Isaac Newton was among the first researchers to explain color…. He noted that when light is passed through a triangular piece of glass, a prism, the white light is split up into a rainbow beam containing red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Newton could put the colors back together to form a white light…. He concluded that these colors, which are frequencies to which man has given names, are basic to white light.
I am going to share one more excerpt on the enlightening topic of light and then we return, as previously promised, to Yahshua’s remarks on Sun Yoga. But first, to help illustrate not only the above excerpt on ‘The Spectrum’, but to also illustrate the previous excerpts in this article that have made references to it, I share below an illustration of that ‘spectrum’.

The book that the following excerpt is from is titled, Light: Medicine of the Future, authored byJacob Liberman, a well-known researcher on light. However, the first portion of our excerpt from that book is from the Forward to the book; that Foreword was written by Dr. John Ott, another well-known researcher on light.
Ott writes in his Foreword to Liberman’s book:
Life on Earth evolved under natural sunlight and has existed for quite some time under the full spectrum of light that it contains. Many prehistoric tribes and even entire civilizations worshipped the sun for its healing powers, using its full spectrum of light to treat physical and mental problems, a practice known as “heliotherapy.” Yet modern scientific medical research now claims that sunlight is hazardous to people’s health, and all sorts of special eyeglasses and sunscreen lotions are marketed to give complete protection. Major financial interests have come into play, sometimes making the truth even more obscure.
Unfortunately, the natural heliotherapy of the past has been replaced by many artificial approaches, such as chemotherapy. It seems as though many of today’s therapies are in some ways like taking a magic pill. They will either eliminate the symptoms or numb the senses sufficiently so that the problem won’t be noticed anymore.
A car’s engine requires fuel, oxygen, and a spark to create internal combustion, which makes the car run. The human body also requires fuel (in the form of food), oxygen and a spark (in the form of light) to ignite the process of metabolism. If the ignition system of the car is not functioning properly, fuel additives will not solve the problem. The same is true in the human body. Vitamins will not solve the problems caused by a lack of appropriate wavelengths of light necessary to create complete metabolism. There is no question in my mind that the visible portion of the spectrum, as well as certain portions beyond, especially the ultraviolet, act as the ignition system for all human biological functions.
After that Foreward by Ott to Jacob Liberman’s book Light: Medicine of the Future, Liberman himself writes:
What is important is…. That we “evolve” ourselves integrating everything that allows us to become whole, more relational, and aware of our global community. One task is to take in and utilize light so that we may merge with our true selves and our destiny; thus, facilitating the healing of our planet. As each of us becomes whole we radiate light—light from within—unimpeded by our self-imposed emotional and physical blocks. The medicine of the future is light. We are healing ourselves with that which is our essence.
Fasten your seat belt. You are about to embark upon a journey – one that may amaze you, teach you, stimulate your mind, and captivate you. You are going on a journey of healing with humanity’s oldest friend in the universe: light.
This book presents the story of an ancient yet newly emerging science: the science of light. This science bridges the gap between scientific knowledge, intuitive knowing, health, and personal evolution, thus acting as a foundation for a new paradigm in healing. It ushers in a new era in medicine. Light, a nonintrusive, very powerful tool, resides at the core of the new medicine: “energy medicine.” What will become very evident… is that light is the basic component from which all life originates, develops, heals, and evolves. This has been expressed by wise sages and metaphysical texts of the past and present. However, we are about to see a new marriage – between the “intuitive” and the “rational” sciences – a marriage that is bounded by light….
Human beings are the embodiment of light; our troubles and ills result from our inability to take in and use light as a launching pad from which to heal and evolve. In my private practice, I have seen literally thousands of times, that this is true. Miracle after miracle has convinced me that this science of the future is an investigation of inner space rather than outer space.
Part1 serves as a foundation. It describes the body as a living photocell, stimulated and regulated by light entering the eyes – “the windows of the soul.” The eyes are the entry points through which light has its profound effect on the regulation of human physiological and emotional functioning and the development of our consciousness. This part examines the role of the pineal, the body’s light meter and how it assists us in becoming synchronized with nature and thus one with the universe. It explores the world of color and how we use color to heal and introduces the concept of light as food – the nutrient that catalyzes biological combustion in humans, just as it catalyzes photosynthesis in plants.
Have you ever wondered why we call the process of profound human evolution “enlightenment” or why the portion of the galaxy in which we live is called the “solar system”? Doesn’t the term “solar system” imply that human beings are of, or derived from the sun? Why do people frequently make statements such as “Lighten up” or “you light up my life”? Is it possible, as renowned physicist David Bohm states, that “all matter is frozen light”? Could it be that our evolution, in some deep way, is related to our ability to take in and utilize light on a spiritual level as well as a physical level? These questions, and many others, are now being looked at scientifically, rather than just metaphysically or spiritually. The visions of clairvoyant sages of the past may not be so different from the scientific discoveries of the present. We are now in an era of accelerated scientific discovery, and the gap between scientific knowledge and “intuitive” knowing is gradually being bridged.
The idea of light as an integral part of all life and creation has been evident since the beginning of time. Sunlight, our major source and provider of light, warmth, and energy, not only sustains all life on Earth, but it sustains the Earth itself. It not only provides plants with the energy for photosynthesis, which in turn sustains the lives of all animals and humans, but also is the source of much of our knowledge, since most learning occurs by way of our eyes.
Sunlight is composed of a variety of energies that are transmitted to Earth in the form of electromagnetic waves. Only a small portion of these waves actually reach the Earth’s surface, and only about 1% of the total electromagnetic spectrum is thought to be perceived by the eye. This visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, containing all the colors of the rainbow from violet (with the shortest wavelength) to red (with the longest wavelength) is a most important key to human functioning and evolution. Our lives, health, and well-being are truly dependent upon the sun.
Each sunrise a transition from the restful darkness of night to the energetic brightness of day, infuses life into all living things. Flowers open, animals and humans awaken, the world is energized, and a new day begins. Day is conceived and represented by the yellow of the sun, the blue of the sky, and the green of the Earth. As the day progresses, environmental color changes become evident, as well as their corresponding effects on all living things. The end of the day, beginning with the red-orange of sunset flowing into the dark blue of night, initiates a gradual slowing down of all physiological activities, followed by tranquility and rejuvenation. The occurrence of this colorful transition from the day to night dramatically represents the internal shifting of gears, taking place within all living things. As nature gradually moves from one end of the color spectrum (red-orange of day) to the other end (dark blue of night), our bodies also shift from one mode of function (work) to another (rest).
From the initial biblical statement, “let there be light” to the idea of being “enlightened,” light has played a consistent role in the development of all living things. The ancient Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, and other major cultures made significant medical uses of light. Although Egyptian physicians were the first to use color for healing, the Greeks were actually the first to document both the theory and practice of solar therapy. Heliopolis, the… city of the sun, was famous for its healing temples, in which sunlight was broken up into its spectral component (colors), and each component was used for a specific medical problem.
Recall that, when we paused to examine the enlightening information related to the ‘Human Rainbow Body/Chakra System’, we were in the midst of sharing Yahshua’s lecture on Sun Yoga in its entirety. Before picking up exactly where we left off in Yahshua’s lecture on Sun Yoga, let us remind ourselves of what Yahshua had already stated. After all, it was that initial section of Yahshua’s Sun Yoga lecture that led us on the excursion into the enlightening excerpts from Hills and others. Yahshua had, in the following reminder verses, been speaking on the topic of the sun having its own series of bodies and its own chakra system, and mentioned the Seven Major Chakras of Essene Yoga:
Yahshua’s First Remarks on Sun Yoga
The above is the portion of his remarks on Sun Yoga that caused us to pause to study the chakras and related topics such as light and color. We now begin exactly where we previously left off; from verse 550 on is new material for our consideration.
Yahshua Continues to Speak on Sun Yoga
Yahshua said:
550. “Our Sun is an extension of the First Sun that emerged from Still Zero and is related to every star of the heavens just as all humans are one family.
551. In Nasarean Cosmology, our Sun is believed to be a star that is closer to our world than the others, and all stars are ambassadors of YHWH.
552. Unlike the common belief of this age, Nasarean Cosmology affirms that our Sun is the center that the planets of this chain circle around, and that many other stars are circled by other world-chains; but that is a mystery studied by Great Nasarean Wizards.
553. However, one need not be a Great Wizard to perceive that our Sun enables life – including our own life – to exist and flourish in this world and, therefore, deserves our sincere reverence and appreciation and heartfelt love expressed in acts such as the various practices of Essene Sun Yoga.
554. Before describing a few of those practices, I will read to you from the Nasarean Book of Enoch section of The Holy Megillah about the significance of our Sun.”
555. Yahshua opened The Holy Megillah to the Nasarean Book of Enoch and read aloud the following verses of that scripture.
I am going to provide Yahshua’s reading about the sun from the Nasarean Book of Enoch. After he reads aloud this excerpt, Yahshua will continue his own remarks on Sun Yoga. To make obvious the portion that is Yahshua reading from the Megillah, I will italicize that material.
Yahshua read from the Nasarean Book of Enoch:
556. ‘A voice spoke, and I turned toward the Dove, but lo: She was now in the form of a beautiful woman.
557. Her skin was black, like the ebony of the persimmon tree.
558. Her long black locks reached to her waist, and Her robe was white as snow.
559. Her brown eyes were soft and warm, like unto pools of compassion.
560. And Her voice was like a celestial song of magic and majesty, playful yet profound.
561. And from Her face streamed golden light, shining like the sun.
562. Yea, and floating above Her open right hand were Seven Crystal Orbs, each the size of a Quince fruit.
563. And each of the Orbs blazed with the golden light of the heavens.564. The Lady spoke, saying: “I am Jahnah, Daughter of Jah and Jahlah.
565. Peace be with you, holy Enoch!”
566. I knew this to be the very same Dove that had long befriended me, but never before had I gazed upon Her womanly form.
567. She was beautiful beyond the words of poets, for what words can describe the beauty of goodness manifest in flesh?
568. I fell to my knees before the Queen of Heaven; yea, I bowed my head low and kissed Her holy feet.569. ‘Again She spoke: “Behold, holy Enoch, you wear the Crown of Glory; for, you put on the Crown of Humility.
570. The Crown of Glory is the Crown of Yah, which is the Crown of ‘I AM’.
571. ‘I AM’ is the Alef and Tav, the Beginning and the End.
572. ‘I AM’ is the First and Last, the Center andCircumference….’
573. Yahshua, pausing from His reading of the Megillah, said, “I will jump some verses for sake of time, and pick up the reading as follows.”
574. Yahshua again read from the Nasarean Book of Enoch.575. ‘Then Jahnah stretched forth Her left arm, and in Her left hand was a book titled, The Book of Life, and it was sealed closed by Seven Seals.
576. Lo, when Jahnah put forth the book, fourteen angels appeared and encircled us, and one of them asked: “Who is worthy to open The Book of Life?
577. Who is worthy to open the Seven Seals?”
578. No Being came forth to take the book, and I perceived that the question was meant for me.
579. The Angel looked deeply into my eyes; again he spoke: “You, Enoch, are worthy to open the Seven Seals of the Group Ovum, for you opened your own seals.
580. And only those who open the seals of the Individual Ovum, can see clearly to open the seals of the Group Ovum.”
581. I bowed in humility before the angel, and I accepted the book.
582. Then, I opened the First Seal, and was shown a vision of the dawn of this world.583. ‘Lo: I beheld two angels in the sky of this new world, one, the Angel of Power, the other, the Angel of Sun.
584. And they began to dance with each other, in the sky above the Earth.
585. And from the motion of their dance, they made a gift for mankind; yea, they gave to mankind the gift of Sunlight for Power.
586. And I beheld a possible blessed future, wherein the children of Earth danced in the light of the Sun.
587. And, lo: they used sunlight to power their civilization in diverse ways.
588. Freely the Sun gave sunlight, and freely was the power of the Sun shared amongst the dancing children of Earth.
589. Yea, the energy of the Sun did power the civilization, and the civilization was centered on the Sun.
590. And the people communed with the Sun, and knew that within the physical Sun, was a spiritual Sun.
591. And even as the civilization was powered by the energy of the physical Sun, the light bodies of the people were powered by the energy of the spiritual Sun.
592. And the people were enlightened by the encoded wisdom in the rays of the spiritual Sun, which are hidden within the glorious beams of light from the physical Sun.593. ‘Yea, this blessed possible future was civilization powered by the Sun.
594. And the Children of Earth danced in light and lived without power struggles beneath the Golden Orb of Light.
595. But behold: I saw that the present path of mankind was not the blessed path unto the blessed future, but a dark path of false power.
596. And then I was shown a vision of the future to which this present path will lead.’597. Yahshua closed the Megillah and said, “Later in The Book of Enoch, it is made clear to Enoch that humanity must choose between the heliocentric ‘Blessed Future’ or that of the dark future based on false power and false suns.
598. One that would learn to practice Essene Sun Yoga does well to begin by contemplating his or her personal relationship to the various bodies of our Sun including its Spiritual Body and, in the light of the excerpt from the Book of Enoch, to dedicate oneself to help bring about the heliocentric ‘Blessed Future’ and thus help prevent the dark future as one way to serve YHWH.599. “Another good initial practice of Essene Sun Yoga is to apply Jnana Yoga/Wisdom Yoga to it by studying everything written in the Megillah about the Sun.
600. “One of My favorite practices of Essene Sun Yoga is to do the Hatha Yoga asana called Salutation to the Sun outdoors in the sunlight.
601. I love to raise My arms to the Morning Sun in a devotional attitude toward The Seventh Heaven and the Living Light that sustains our Light Body.”
602. Yahshua then demonstrated both the Simple Salutation to the Sun and the Full Salutation to the Sun.
603. After having demonstrated the Salutation to the Sun, Yahshua continued his remarks on Essene Sun Yoga.604. The Lord said, “In that excerpt from Enoch it was stated that ‘the people were enlightened by the encoded wisdom in the rays of the spiritual Sun, which are hidden within the glorious beams of light from the physical Sun.’
605. In the light of that verse, one can clearly see that an important practice of Essene Sun Yoga is to expose oneself to the ‘glorious beams of light from the physical Sun.’
606. This act of literal union with the Sun by exposure of your skin to its rays feeds you in ways that you know not.
607. Most mornings, Miriam and I follow our Hatha Yoga and Morning Service with a time of sunbathing that We consider a key practice of Sun Yoga.
608. This Daily Sun Bath is typically later in the morning than ‘First Sun’ – ‘First Sun’ being our first exposure to sunlight on a given day no matter how brief – and is of longer duration, though not so long as to cause a burn.609. “My favorite way to perform Silent Meditation is flat on My back on a blanket beneath the Sun, naked.
610. It is when performing that type of Sun Yoga – Sunbathing Combined With Silent Meditation – that I most notice ‘the encoded wisdom in the rays of the spiritual Sun, which are hidden within the glorious beams of light from the physical Sun’ just referred to in that excerpt from The Nasarean Book of Enoch.
611. When sunny – even in winter sun – I sunbathe naked, provided I can find a place to lay My blanket without shocking other people!”612. The assembly laughed, and Yahshua continued: “If the weather is freezing, I might skip sunbathing.
613. Not many days per year do I skip at least a bit of sunbathing!
614. On cloudy days, I get what sun I can, sensing the location of the sun behind the clouds, knowing that at least some rays are reaching My skin.
615. Miriam is the same; We are both dedicated Sun Yogis!
616. Yet another reason that We are perfect for one another!”617. Yahshua and Miriam each smiled, and then Yahshua continued speaking.
618. “At the risk of being mocked, I also admit that I deliberately expose My genitals and anus to the sunlight because I sense that, in moderation, it is an essential factor in My wellness….
[The five missing verses here will be provided in Chapter Three where I will give them appropriate attention!☺]
623. But find a private place to practice it!
624. “Just by reciting, with sincere reverence, the Communion – ‘Words of Union’ (Daberim Ha Yihud) – for the Sun, one is practicing a form of Sun Yoga.
625. It is best to do this outside, in the Sun.
626. Though that Communion is typically spoken on the morning of the fourth day after Sabbath, you can also perform it as an act of Sun Yoga on any other day you like.
627. “The following extra-short version of the Sun Communion is one you can try.
628. Facing the Sun, as naked as practical, say these words out loud: ‘Holy Sun, I bathe in your Fire of Life.’
629. Feel free to compose your own words of Solar Communion, and to vary your words from time to time, as you like.
630. I do.
631. I also have several favorites of each root and branch communion – including the Solar Communion – that I return to again and again.632. “One more example of Essene Sun Yoga is called Centering With The Sun.
633. Whenever you want to feel more centered, simply center yourself with the Sun by orienting your own crown chakra to the crown chakra of the Sun.
634. This is best done outside beneath the Sun.
635. The Sun is always centered in the ultimate center that is Yah.
636. When you center yourself with the Sun, you simultaneously experience being centered in Yah.”
I am excited to comment on some of the above verses! But I am going to save that for the next chapter. That chapter will also look at Yahshua’s other remarks on Sun Yoga found peppered throughout the Megillah, including quite a bit of solar information that appears in his Sermon on the Contemplative Symbols and Contemplative Concepts Related to The Essene Tree of Life. See you zen! ☺
